Where do you get your Disney news?

I was wondering where people go to get news updates on the theme parks. Is it just the message board and Dis site, or do you have other favorite sites, podcasts/webcasts or print products you rely on.

If there's a reliable source I may be overlooking, it would be good to hear about.

I don't want to boast or anything but I think this is really a great place for news. I along with others post pretty much every news and rumors topic that surfaces the Disney internets. I often post sources along with that if they do not come from this site.

No doubt. The site, along with the Dis Unplugged podcast are fantastic. Just wondering what else was out there.

I follow Disney World fan groups on Facebook. I don't even use Facebook for updates on family and friends, just all disney all the time. "The DIS" has a daily update video which is OK if you like smug.

Everytime I see something someplace else that I think I haven't seen here, it's posted before I can mention it.
Every.
Time.

Pretty much. I think the news thread started by @rteetz and contributed by many is probably the best source of news. I think I've managed to be the first to post something once or twice, but really it's about as good as it gets - as long as you don't mind wading through the occasional OT discourses that take over every once in the while. (Not being critical - I do it too, but either you don't like it, or it's part of the charm.)

I, too, think it's part of the charm. Of course you can typically scan for hyperlinks, they tend to be a surefire indicator of an actual news report.

If I ever have the opportunity to post an actual News Item, I'll likely use the bold tool to draw attention to it.

Exactly this. In the round-up we get links to any new news stories, photo updates, etc, from all over the web.

Obviously here but also regularly look at other sites such as screamscape, orlandoparksnews, attractions magazine has a great weekly show on YouTube and then you also have youtube vloggers like Tim tracker and view from the cheap seats who visit the parks frequently to check out all the new things going on.

Pretty much here, but I also follow a food related blog (Vegan Disney World) and a touring blog (Disney Tourist Blog). If there's news I usually see it first from a DIS Facebook status.

I often post screamscape and orlando park news updates here daily as well as plenty of other websites.

Thanks for starting this...

I was thinking of searching around and starting to aggregate sites into some rss reader (or subscribing to more email lists) to try to keep up with things. After my last trip where I almost completely missed force friday while there and then never heard about signing up for the premiere + hollywood studios ticketed event until it was sold out for the movie.... (Also considering starting some site for everyone to use it, just automated news feed)

I was REALLY hoping the daily fix would cover this type of stuff and while I like it, it's really missing hte news like "this weekend is harry potter celebration". things someone that happens to be in town would really like to know about.

I believe only half what I hear anymore. Some sites exaggerate there findings and end up making the worse rumors. Other sites get rumored information that turns out to be the best kept secrets in the long run. I enjoy the rumors and developing news on the new ideas and I love change as long as it stays true to Disney. But until I see a release from Disney I take it with a grain of salt..

Here the dis unplugged and the podcasts that they do. A lot of good info!

The Daily Fix, Disney world podcast and these forums. Sometimes venture to the Universal podcast too but thats all
