Since we just passed the 1 year mark, I thought it would be a good time to look at the weather for our destinations over the next week.
Galveston - Friday : Low - 38; High - 52; Windy and cloudy (a side note today they have a 90 percent chance of rain, but the rest of the week
looks fairly clear).
Cozumel - Sunday: Low - 63; High - 69; Partly cloudy (earlier in the week they had 80 percent chance of thundershowers, but the rest of the
week has only low chances of rain).
George Town, Cayman Island - Monday: Low - 74; High - 79; Partly cloudy w/ a 10 percent chance of rain (Higher chances for rain before we
leave Galveston and the chances increase through out the week). I will continue to watch this week to see how
much it changes.
Falmouth, Jamaica - Tuesday: Low - 74; High - 82; 50 percent chance of rain (few days before say partly cloudy with very low rain chances,
but remainder of the week is 50 percent chance of rain - on the positive side, the temps stay warm).
San Juan, Puerto Rico - Thursday: Low - 72; High - 83; Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain (the rain chances are about the same
before and after we get there; I have read that much like Orlando, they are always getting pop up showers that blow
over quickly).
Side note: On the Wonder cruise we just returned from in Nov. the captain did a very good job steering us away from the bad weather (storms were predicted in the Gulf for most of our trip). However, the few rain storms and waves we did encounter were unavoidable I am sure. We will just have to remember that the captain and the crew will do their best to keep us under the best conditions, but they, in the end, can not control the weather. So, from the looks of it, we should probably be prepared to have warm clothes for Galveston, medium weight clothes for our first sea day, and possibly Cozumel (I will most likely bring my wet suit for any Cozumel snorkeling), and then it is warm weather clothing from then on.
