Friends seeking travel friends thread!

The Dis is having a 10 year anniversary week around orlando the week of July 24th. No further details except it'll be something special and things will be happening all week :) I'm planning to be around for this.
Got any more info on that? Sounds like a great idea! ... Start the 24th? End the 31st?

So I'm recently separated (middle of Feb) and I'd love to make some new female friends that love Disney!

I've seen the singles seeking singles thread, but I'm not interested in looking for a romantic relationship yet (maybe ever lol!) but having some new girlfriends, maybe to do Disney with, would be awesome. If y'all are like me my "real life" friends are all married with little kids and don't care about Disney.

What do you think? Would this be a good idea here or is it lame? I realize we're all over the country but you never know, you might meet your Disney BFF!

Just thought I would bump the thread and see if anyone is going to be there when I'm there in February (1-12). If so, let me know. Would love some company...

My solo trip puts me at The World from Jan 24th thru Feb 4th...
Never met up with anyone from the forums before but willing if schedules work out.

Sure lets see how are schedules work out, wouldn't mind touring wdw. Did it last year and it was fun. Worked out well.

I dont think its lame either, Id love to find someone (female) who enjoys Disney as much as I do. I think a girls trip with no drama would be so fun!!!

I agree why would it be lame to find someone that you like who shares the same passion and interests you have. I think it would make vacationing much easier (more then likely there would be no objections to Disney trips =) No fights, no drama. I say again, who wouldn't want to find someone special.

Hi everyone...I just found this site and thread. Thanks to all that make this happen.
I'm hoping to go to WDW November 21-26. I'd like to see if anyone is interested in going during that time.

Name: Misty

Age/Kids/Job: 40, 17 and 11 year old sons, RN-medically retired though

Location: Louisiana

Where/When I want to go: WDW
November 21-26 2015

What is your travel style (slow, moderate, fast paced): I've only been to WDW twice. 25 years ago, and last June. My sons were with me in June, and they are late starters, so things had to be fast paced so they could get to everything. I wouldn't mind slowing it down a bit.

What are you trip finances like (budget, moderate, luxury): Moderate/budget

Planned or laid back trip: Both...some planning is required to have a laid back trip :) I love to plan and talk about plans!

Morning or night person: Both! I've never seen rope drop (pokey kids). I'd love to do rope drop, break at the hotel, then stay until closing.

Favorite parks: MK, EP, HS, AK-I really didn't spend much time at AK though. It was brutally hot in June, but AK seemed exceptionally suffocating compared to the other parks.

Are you a leader or a follower (i.e. okay with someone else planning and you just tag along or vice verse): I'm comfortable in either role.

Rate these in importance (1 most important, 6 least important); Rides, food, tours, character experiences, shopping, down time: 1. Rides, 2. Food, 3. Down time, 4. Shopping, 5. Character Experiences, I've never been on any Disney tours.
