***The Official April 2016 Thread!***

Hello! New to the boards...very excited to be here! We are taking our daughter to Disney for her 3rd birthday. We'll be at Contemporary from April 16 to 22. It is a family trip - my husband, daughter, mom, dad, and sister! We are so excited - April needs to get here now!
:welcome: We are celebrating a 3rd birthday (my youngest son) on our trip as well! Very excited to be in MK for his birthday... What better gift could there be? :goodvibes I agree that April can hurry up and get here.

We were gifted a stay at the Sheraton Vistana for Christmas! We'll be there from 4/8-4/15. Looking forward to it! Never stayed off site before, so I'm a little nervous, but excited. Planning to do 5 days at the parks and one day at Universal to take in the HP expansion. Traveling with my husband and three kids.

We are planning to do a day at Universal to check out HP as well. It's pretty awesome (I've been) and I can't wait for my HP obsessed son to see it!

Update to our plans! Our TA called to see if we could get the current offer added to our trip, and she wasn't able to do it for Contemporary. She had our blessing to also check out Poly and GF, though we figured there was no way even if the offer went through that either location would be cheaper than our current reservation. To her shock, the Reservation CM's shock, and our shock...she got us into Grand Floridian, TP view, for $600 less for us and $700 less for my parents! We are thrilled!

Yay! My sister booked our room as soon as spring discounts came out, so we will be heading to the World April 22-May 1.

We ended up booking a 2 bedroom villa at Old Key West, since there's going to be 7 of us (myself, my twin brother (24, 25 April 29), my sister (26), my oldest sister (28) and her husband (27), and our parents (47, 48)) and our other option was pop century which ran out quickly of the rooms.

Spending 8 days at the park, so hopefully we'll be able to get a good bit done without trying to rush ourselves.

My sister is the one that's been crazy, making our ADRs, and potential schedules so that we get the most of our trip, since with our jobs and lifestyle, it's unlikely we'll make it back to the world anytime soon after.

Any tips or recommendations?

Anyone else planning on being in Animal Kingdom on earth day? I picked AK for that day before I realized it was earth day and now with the rumors of rivers of light possibly starting that day I'm not sure what to expect. I'm thinking though it will be pretty cool if we happen to see it opening day.

That was almost our plan but we went with Sunday instead as our AK day. I agree it would be cool to be there for Earth Day though. I am crossing my fingers for Rivers of Light! Can't wait!

We probably would have done AK on Earth Day if we were by ourselves (annual passholders) rather than with family (without park hoppers). We have to be at Epcot on Friday or Saturday for Garden Rocks, and Friday (Earth Day) is best because locals are more plentiful on Saturday.

Won't be there on Earth Day, at least not in our plans at the moment but you never know! We may hop over if there are festivities.

Add me to the list. Checking in April 22 at CBR. Checking out the 28th and moving over to Universal Studios for 4 nights. Can't wait. Hope the weather is beautiful.
