Disney Gift Card Deals

I'm at target. The $5 off is only for a few gift cards it seems to include Applebee's and bass pro shop.

Off to Kroger for 4x fuel points.

Interesting theory, but I kind of doubt that Disney marketing cares about a very small segment of their visitors getting these discounts. The majority of their visitors are not flocking there because they were able to purchase GCs and get fuel perks for it. Many more are drawn in by the discounts offered. After all, who doesn't love *free* food or a kids stay and play for *free* offer?

When I sort the gift cards on Target.com by "most popular", the $100 Disney one pops up .

Well, that's a bummer. I have been pretty jealous about the Kroger fuel points for a while. Lucky for me, Kroger is buying our local Roundy's grocery chain so maybe I'll be able to partake in that next year. The downside is that my car is a Prius with a small gas tank!

Not some super amazing deal but decent if you need shampoo/conditioner...Target has the large size Pantene/Herbal Essences/Aussie/Head & Shoulders on a deal where you buy 4 and get a $5 gift card. Right now, it is giving two $5 gift cards with the purchase of 4. It's clearly a glitch and orders may be cancelled. Also use 'SHINE' for 10% off the order.

I spent $17.38 and got 4 shampoos & conditioners (shipped) and will get $10 in gift cards.

Leaving Dec 17th! So torn on what to do right now. I used to do Raise to Target to Disney card. Still haven't bought DS' AP, and will have dues to pay in a few months. Go next Sunday at 8am and use your red card to buy $50 Disney gift cards at Target. 10% savings.

When I sort the gift cards on Target.com by "most popular", the $100 Disney one pops up .

That's not proof of anything other than the fact that Target .com sells more $100 Disney GCs than any other GC that they have in inventory. Interestingly enough, iTunes GCs in $100, $15, $25 and $50 denominations are all more "popular" than the $50 Disney GC. Should iTunes change their marketing based on those statistics as well?

New here, so sorry if this was already covered somewhere else, but does anyone on here apply their Target employee discount to Disney or eBay GCs? It doesn't seem to work in the stores, but online I was able to get it to work once in '13 or '14 before a WDW trip. Can't seem to get it to work now. Target is of no help, since they claim it should go through at check-out, yet it never does. Discount works for other purchases, just not GCs. Anyone else deal with this or have an answer. Thanks in advance!

The employee discount used to apply, but it ended about two years ago at the same time they stopped honoring the 5% pharmacy coupon on gift cards.

I was at target this morning and I asked the cashier about the free gift cards, she rang it up and it did not come up. But then she called someone over and she said the ad said any gift cards and ended up giving me the free gift card for the Disney gift cards.

I think the ad was misleading and I'm glad you got the discount. At my Target there were signs over the $25 gift cards which were eligible.

ETA: Here are the details--"Free $5 Target GiftCard when you buy any two $25-value or higher prepaid gift cards. Quantities limited; no rain checks. Terms and conditions apply to gift cards."

Target really is phenomenal at screwing this stuff up.

I agree the ad was slightly misleading. I was at our Target earlier and there was no signage anywhere as to which ones were eligible so I did try two $25 Disney ones and told the cashier I was only trying them to see if they'd qualify for the $5 and they did not. She looked at the ad and felt like they should qualify but I didn't press it as I knew they probably would not so I let it go. I'll see what Cyber Monday with the 15% has in store for us and if not, then aim for the promos @havaneselover shared earlier with the following week's Target ad and hope for the best.

I'm just adding to my fund and not really "needing" any right now but I prefer to buy at a decent savings and have in my DV account in case I need or want to use it.

I don't see that in the add posted online. My ad only shows the digital gift card promotion. Where is the in-store deal advertised?

For me, it shows on page 20 bottom right corner and it does show on Target.com for the Weekly ad in the store.
