Wine and Dine 2015

We are staying at the Poly. Does anyone know if they run the monorail for the party or will it be just a bus? I know we can take the monorail to Epcot for the party and I can grab a bus to WWS.

I ordered a sparkle skirt a few days ago because I really liked the idea of the pockets. Now you are all making me very nervous! Hope I like them and that they fit ok. Should be here soon.
Definitely don't get nervous until you try one on. Once you figure out your correct size I'm sure you will love it.

I think what the rest of us are talking about are just SparkleSkirts having some growing pains. But it's still a great product...I LOVE not having to wear a fuel belt, and while I don't 100% exclusively run in SparkleSkirts (I recently found some capris I really love), I would say I do 75% of my runs in them. Even in the winter - layer them over tights and you still have the pockets!

Cool. Think that's what I'm going to do. I can get a room for $123 including tax with my Florida Resident discount.

Thanks everyone for the input!

Now, I gotta figure out a 5K outfit ...

Pop for sure! Maybe I'll run into you at the 5k again! I have no idea what I'm wearing for either race :confused3

That would be AWESOME!

No idea what to do for the 5K.

For the Half, I'm making a jersey-style shirt - it's got the World Showcase/Epcot skyline and says "World Showcase Drinking Team" on the front, on the back it will say Keels and the No. 15 and will have a C on the sleeve.

I think I'm going to order one of these to put the decals on:

I'll wear capris or something casual. Maybe a running skirt depending on the weather.

Did anyone else notice that there is a Disney Wine and Dine Welcome reception that you can register for? What's that all about? I was trying to order my pins (but can't) and noticed this as an option. There's a link on the w and d website but goes to nothing.

I saw that too! I was looking for the merchandise preorder and couldn't find the link any more. I assumed it was pasta in the park but now see it is on Thursday which wouldn't make any sense.

The sign up must have just gone live. It take you to active.com now and lets you register.

You do get a duffle bag and an hour of shopping before anyone else for the 199 but that's not worth it to me!

I JUST noticed that - and at $199 a ticket? Um ... no thanks. We're already doing the Party for the Senses for Halloween, and it's the same price as this ticket.

I guess it's "hosted by Jeff Galloway" and includes a four-course meal with wine pairing. But that menu is not appealing to me, and I don't eat cooked fish.

I paid $99 for the Anniversary Party at Disneyland - we got a cute backpack and a super private showing of Paint the Night, with an extra four hours in half of the park on major rides. I could justify that - this ... it's just too much.

100% agree, plus we aren't arriving until Friday

The ride waits are insane if you are just an average runner. That being said your family and friends who come to cheer will get amazing ride times at race start.

That said if you are in one of the first corals and finish in about an hour forty five, then the lines are fantastic and you can get most of the way through World Showcase before the crowds set in!

My half marathon time is dismal right now. I finished just before the sweepers last year but at Avengers did well. We will see what happens that day.

We r staying at the beach club. Got really lucky a few wks ago and it happened to come up on the disney website. Couldnt b more happier. Its a surprize for my DS and DH.

We are at BWI. No bus to wait for afterwards that way, though after the race, we may not like the walk a whole lot.

Hoping for no rain, but shorter than daytime lines for the rides. If we get enough stuff in, we may change our Tuesday plans (currently planned to be Epcot day)

We are at BWI too. Last year we walked back to BC and all I could think was thank goodness we don't have to walk all the way to the Swolphin.

Does anybody have the code you need to purchase theme park tickets? My friend and I can't find the email that included the link, and we need to get our tickets! TIA~

Has anyone tried using the "Running Buddy" pouch? I'm thinking of getting one, even if I just use it for the parks.

I was really hoping to ride Soarin'. I do have a FastPass for it on Friday night, but I need to soak up all the original California (my home state) Soarin' while I can. I'm excited for the update, but wish they would have kept California in California. But, needless to say, I'm not fast and plan to stop to take a few pictures, so I won't have loads of time at the after party. Enough, but I won't finish in under 2!

I have one. My issue is that it can only carry so much. I got mine primarily for my phone, but if I put anything else in it it would flap open. For just my phone it worked. I ended up carrying it during the Enchanted 10K last year. That was disappointing. But other than that for everyday runs it worked. And I think for a night run it would. I had tried to stuff sunglasses in it for the 10K because I have extremely sensitive eyes and needed them for the 10K, but that did not work. I much prefer my sparkle skirts! I actually carried the same things in my sparkle skirt without any issues on my 11 mile run the other day and was so much happier than I was with the Running Buddy, but again, it depends what you plan to carry.
