Are the parks not crowded at present???

I downloaded the Magic Guide app and it looks like wait times are pretty low. For example - 25 minutes right now for the mine train. 15 for the safari. I want to be sure this is accurate - is anyone there or can someone confirm? I'm going in 9 days and I hope this trend continues.

From looking at Instagram posts yesterday, the parks are not crowded right now. Someone posted a pic of the 7DMT wait- it was 40 mins! They also mentioned 25-35 minute waits for Ana and Elsa. I'm sure Labor Day weekend will increase crowds a little bit, but last year the crowds were great.

This is typical of late August and early September. Personally the heat is too much for me, but it's one of the last low crowd times left. Even Labor Day weekend doesn't bring huge crowds.

Schools are just getting started again. If low crowds are your priority, this week (and next) are your go-to weeks.

You're going at an historically less-crowded time of year. I often go about now myself for this very reason.

I would think not. We were there last week and it didn't seem bad, we got on rides pretty quickly towards the end of the week.

This week must be awesome. Too bad school started today. :)

At 11:00 AM today the wait time for Soarin' and TT are posted at 20 minutes, and TSM is 40... I'd say the definitive answer to the OP's question is "Yes".

We were in Epcot on Monday and Magic Kingdom yesterday.

Everything in Epcot was basically walk on except for Test Track and Soarin, which had their typical long waits. We left the park at around 3pm, but I think it is safe to say the crowds were low. At Noon for lunch in the San Angel Inn the only tables being used were those near the water/temple. At 1pm the walkways in the world showcase were empty.

Magic Kingdom had the lowest crowds I have ever seen yesterday. Had lunch at BOG at 11:15am and there were only 5 tables being used in the rose gallery. When we left that room was maybe half full. The West wing was full... We left and returned in the evening and there was a 20 minute standby for Space Mountain at 7:15pm. Haunted Mansion Standby no waiting at 8pm. The strangest thing was for the parade... We went to get a dole whip at the aloha isle about 8:50pm, then went through the breezeway to watch the parade... We had NO problem finding an empty spot. By 9:15 when the parade reached us there was basically a single line of people along each side of the street. After that we went for a quick ride on Juncle Cruise and there were 4 other people in the boat with us.

Don't get me wrong, there were still a lot of people... Main Street was crowded for the fireworks, but in general the park was empty. During the parade and fireworks I would bet all the rides with the possible exception of Peter Pan was walk on.

Had the same scenario for the parade last year on Labor Day weekend. Walked through the Adventureland breezeway as the parade was just starting to go by and walked right up to the rope! First time that's ever happened for me.

I've done PP with <15 min waits during Wishes on busy July weeks, (still shows a posted 45 or so) so I wouldn't be too surprised if it was a real <5 last night.

I saw a 10 minute wait on Soarin' early today... EPCOT looks like everything is almost a walk on! I'm hoping things are like this on September 17th and 18th-

Maybe people changed plans with the storm that was supposed to hit yesterday.

I was white knuckled over that last weekend, but as it turns out the weather has not been a factor since we got here on August 28th. There have been a couple of the expected afternoon/evening T-storms, but no rain at all the past two days. It is hot and humid, but we knew that coming in.

We are going to MK this Saturday with the late magic hours. Normally a bad idea, but it's September!

We head out for WDW on the 10th of this month with our park days the 11th - 15th so I hope this holds!

As everyone else has already posted, it's the time of year. Local schools here began on Monday and I assume most other schools are either in session or begin after Labor Day this Monday. We were at EPCOT on Saturday at lunch and most things were walk on. Chefs de France was nearly empty when we ate around 2:00 pm.

Studios on Monday was dead as well. Tower was only 5 minutes and RnR was only 15.

We're heading to EPCOT this afternoon and some buddies text me that it was pretty dead. They got to Rose & Crown at 11:30 and said they were the only ones there for a good 30 or 45 minutes.

Crowds will get bigger (not much though) for this weekend since most are off on Monday. The weather is very hot right now, but locals still head out in the late afternoon evening, at least we do. It's not 110 degrees at night ... Jut 105 :)
