My 7 year old wants to go to a Giants game and holy smokes! $$$$$! I'd like some decent seats since we don't go to professional sports games very often. Can someone please recommend a good website for scoring decent seats at the best price?

Thanks!

Sorry, when it comes to the NFL, I think you're screwed trying to find a good deal on tickets. Even the teams that suck generally sell out most games and thus you're usually at the mercy of the resell market, which the NFL regulates pretty tightly.

We usually end up going to NFL's Ticker Exchange for tickets to the one Browns game we go to each year - typically it's 5-10% over face value (or more).

Thanks for the input. Do you get them in advance or last minute? I"m guessing further in advance means cheaper?

Also, who are these people who are spending $1000 just in tickets to bring their family to a game?!? Is that the reality of attending a professional sports game with family? I used to see the Knicks with my husband but that was way back when it was the two of us and we were not paying attention to the prices!!

Ummm, there are no cheap NFL tickets. Especially in NY!

Actually, when the Broncos built their new stadium it was written into the contract that 2,000 tickets will be sold at half-off face value for each home game. You know, so the little people whose tax money was partly used to build the stadium could maybe afford to attend a game there! I find it funny that we practically just moved here and I know about this (because I am a supreme cheap-a$$) while locals who have been Bronco fans for years and years have never heard of this! Makes for less competition in getting seats when the purchasing window opens up each year. We’ll be seeing Peyton play Saturday night and checking out his arm (and fingers).

Anyway, I just Googled Giants half price tickets. No dice.

We usually buy ours a few months out, but part of that is because it's usually my siblings and my dad and it takes a while to figure out a game that works for everyone. I don't know if they're more or less expensive depending on when you buy, though.

We generally don't buy great seats (something in the upper deck) and they're usually around $100 each.

We bought three tickets for the jags vs bucs game a few months ago. Think we used stubhub. Anyway, end zone, around $100 a piece. Like PP's have said, they aren't cheap!

Wait until closer to game date. People may lower their prices. The ticket will probably be emailed to you and you print them out. Most tickets have bar codes now which is why the emailing works.

Try getting your hands on Patriots tickets . OUCH!!! $140 is the cheapest I see on stubhub. Then don't forget the parking fee. For 2 people you're looking at almost $400 before you even get in the gate.

Anyone willing to admit to spending $1000 to take their family to a sports game? Would I be crazy to do that? Talk me into or out of it.

When I say $1000 I mean tickets, food, parking, souvenirs. The entire experience.

Wouldn't be me. That much money just the atmosphere? Not now, not ever.

This is probably the same reason why my wife books everything. Because if I knew the cost, I wouldn't do ANYTHING! We've done plenty of NFL games, MLB games and NBA games but we either go when we get free tickets (promotions through my wife's work) or get them discounted.

For a once-in-a-lifetime type experience (like going to Lambeau?)... yeah, probably. For my bunch of schmucks of a team? No.

A couple people were bragging about that recently - for baseball tickets specifically. I don't remember the thread though (and it may have been more like $800). And that was just for tickets.

We have to travel to every game we go to, so we send that for sure. We are planning Steelers in KC this year, spent 120 per ticket, and the 300 on hotel so far. We still have to get there, eat etc...

close, but not really. BSLady started a thread about kids up and down from their seats and selfies wit food while at a Red Sox game. She then went on about the cost of the tickets and then about the cost at Yankee Stadium. She mentioned spending upwards of almost $1000 just for tickets for a family of 4.... wasn't any bragging

I get DH good seats for anywhere between $50-$100. There are good seats at Yankee stadium for $25 as well. They're high but not quite bleachers, and some have great views.
