UK Newspaper The Independent has revealed in a story today that Ellen DeGeneres has hinted hinting that the upcoming Finding Nemo sequel Finding Dory will deal with the effects of keeping fish in captivity.
Following The Blackfish documentary - Filmmakers are queuing up to take shots at SeaWorld and its business model.
Now I realise that many believe that Blackfish was purely a piece of well stage managed propaganda, and others believe it was an accurate portrayal of SeaWorld's practices and impact.
I am going to sit on the fence on that one - I have not seen Blackfish - and cannot comment or pass opinion. I have visited Seaworld, and have enjoyed it immensely - although I suppose I have recently begun to wonder whether I would return based on some of these kind of questions
More interestingly though, is the idea of kicking another theme park when its down a clever move by Disney to retain market share? - or is just a case of one it's stars just sound-biting without thinking of the bigger picture? or more likely perhaps, a national newspaper trying to dramatise a tenuous connection.
