Does anyone have any photos of the food offerings they could share with me?

Much appreciated!

I see in your sig that you're doing ABD SoCal in 2016. Rumor has it that the BTRBBQ will be closed after 1/10/16, to make way for Star Wars Land. Sigh. :-(

Ah, interesting!
So apart from Storyteller's, which other restaurants do you typically visit as part of the tour? I don't think any others apart from Storyteller's and Big Thunder Ranch are named in the tour notes (and also appreciating this may change by next October!)

In case it's still open, this is some of the food offerings...

Aww, that stinks. Love that Stars Wars is coming but I also love BTRBBQ.

My family and I were just talking about this today but had no idea they were planning to close the restaurant permanently for this. What a shame.

They have to close it. That entire Ranch area is going to become part of Star Wars Land, or an entrance into the land or something. It all has to be re-themed, redesigned, reconfigured, etc. There is a lot of prep work to do before ever starting construction, which is why they need to clear out the Ranch very soon. There's no way they could keep the BBQ in that spot. The best we can hope is that they relocate it to some other area, though Disney usually does not do that. As we know, most of the time when they close a restaurant, it's closed and it does not reopen elsewhere.

One occasion I can think of when Disney actually did relocate a restaurant was when the massive expansion was taking place in the late '90s (to make way for Downtown Disney, the Grand Californian Hotel and California Adventure). Goofy's Kitchen used to be located in a section of the Disneyland Hotel that got lopped off during the expansion. From what I understand, apparently they were initially just going to close Goofy's for good, but ultimately decided that since it was so popular, and they needed a character meal at the Disneyland Hotel, they would just move it to a different part of the hotel.

What tour are you talking about?

Last October, we ate at Storytellers for dinner on arrival night due to MHP. We had 2 breakfasts at Storytellers, 1 breakfast at the Minnie & Friends Breakfast at the Plaza Inn, and our final dinner was at Carthay Circle. I think our other meals were on our own.

Thanks, that does look really good. I wonder how gf friendly they are? I hadn't planned a sit down meal except for our character meals but all this talk about it closing is making me crave bbq and reconsider

In case anyone didn't know, the sausage and corn is part of the dinner menu only. Lunch is cheaper though.

Do I have to go find my photo of the S'more bake? People seem to missing the important parts of the meal here, where are the desserts?!

Haven't they had things like strawberry shortcake during summer, and cobblers, and assorted Fall and Holiday-ish desserts too? I remember that last year they had something with pumpkin ice cream in it, and for the holidays they had a version of it with peppermint ice cream.

To be honest, I don't know. I've only been once and only had eyes for the s'more bake. Downside of living in Australia is that Disney trips are few and far between and s'mores are an only in America treat.

I definitely remember seasonal fruit cobbler and ice cream were other options, but I don't know how they change things with seasons.
