so...I just tried to book a cabana and almost all of them were sold out. I did manage to book the last one available on the family beach. # 21. It's the extra large version that can fit 10 as compared to 6 for the regular size cabana. The only problem is that it's $966 for the day. Ouch! I'm assuming that Disney will allow me to add people from another cabin to my cabana since we only have 5. If anyone on the list is interested in sharing a cabana with us, we would love to have some fellow cruisers relax in luxury with us as well as help out with the financial burden :) I'm thinking a group of 2 for $250, 3 for $350 or 4 for $400. We've experienced the cabanas before and they are awesome. I think the best way to do this would be to make a list if there is interest from more than one group. We can work out the money issue on board. We are 2 adults and 3 kids ages 11,11 and 5. The 2 older ones are girls and the youngest is a boy. If you have kids around that age...Great!

Here's a nice link to wet your appetite

I'm all checked in as well with port adventures at Nassau (scuba diving) and brunch at Palo. I was also able to snag an early boarding time as well. I'm looking forward to being on the Dream so I can become a Grand Slammer!

Newest updated list ( let me know if I've missed anyone )

Confirmed FE list so far: If you are not on this list and you want to be , please send an email to burghball@aol.com. Thanks. ( 96 days to go ). I'm planning on closing the list around 10/9/15 or around 15 cabins whichever is first. However, that is up for input. If anyone thinks we should stay open longer or add more than 15 cabins, I'm certainly open to the idea. Just let me know. We are now up to 11 cabins. Woohoo!

PS. If anyone needs to cancel for any reason, please be courteous and let me know. So we can free up a spot for someone else. Thanks!

Here's a tip if anyone in your group collects Disney pins or vinylmations. You can buy authentic Disney vinylmations on Ebay for about $4 each and Disney pins for about .50 each. Great way to save money and the kids love it. Bring some on the cruise to trade with cast members.

Another tip....We are planning to take our group to Atlantis and found this online. Saves us about $300 . bahamasdaypass.com

Also...we're looking for someone to share the party sized cabana with. We only want to add 1 group with us, whether that be a party of 2, 3 or 4. See above post for details

Here are some pics I found of the new Grand cabana 21 from someone elses trip back in Marchgrand-cabana-21 -a.jpg grand-cabana-21.jpg grand-cabana-21-a.jpg grand-cabana-21-b.jpg grand-cabana-21-d.jpg grand-cabana-21-e.jpg grand-cabana-21-f.jpg grand-cabana-21-g.jpg grand-cabana-21-h.jpg grand-cabana-21-i.jpg

Because of popular demand...this will be the official notice of a meet and greet for the Disney Dream November 9 2015 sailing ( THIS IS SEPARATE FROM THE FE LIST ). It is primarily and meet and greet for families with kids who are Minecraft players but all are welcome to come. Lets meet at the Evolution lounge Deck 4 aft at 3pm Embarkation day, That will give everyone time to board but also be prior to the mandatory lifeboat drill. I'm Bryan and you will be able to recognize me by my vacation " fedora ". Note pic to the left.
I also thought it might be cool to let the kids play minecraft together before the cruise to get to know each other virtually. One of the kids I am bringing has their own minecraft server. Thought it would help break the ice with the kids if they kinda knew each other before boarding. We have control of this server and are able to ban anyone posting objectional material. Direct message or email me for the server ip address if you want the kids to get a chance to play together before the cruise. ( If all this is confusing, ask your kids to explain ) :)

Also , if you plan on attending, please send me your name and how many in the party so I can get idea of how many are coming.

99 days !

My granddaughters will be coming to the meet up. They are Grace (11) and Caroline (almost 10). Caroline is a huge Minecraft fan and Grace likes it but isn't as obsessed. They are cruising with their 2 young-at-heart grandmothers. I'm not sure yet if they will be in the same kids club. If they aren't, they'll be fine separated. See y'all in 99 days!

I located a little snippet about the basics for fish extenders for those new to FE's. It's essentially like a secret santa

Once numbers are finalized, each member of the group prepares a gift for the other participating cabins. You can opt to provide a single family gift for the participating cabins, or give individual gifts to each person in the cabin. There are no rules regarding gifts (no minimum or maximum dollar value). Often times, the gifts are handmade, but not always. Once the cruise has commenced, participants deliver their gifts to the other participating staterooms, leaving them as a surprise in the fish extender pockets. One of the most fun aspects of taking part in a fish extender group is checking in throughout the day to see what little goodies are waiting. Most items tend to be delivered on the first full day of the cruise but we usually stretch ours out the length of the cruise with the exception of the last day. We have more fun seeing a couple of gifts each day rather than seeing them all show up at once.

For our family...we usually give a gift for each member of the cabin. I have heard that some FE groups give a gift for each person for each day of the cruise but since it looks like we will have a good number of people in our group , we plan to stick with the one gift, one person, per cruise format. Otherwise it will be crazy expensive.

Feel free to share any info about what characters your child likes and we can add that to the list. As far has how much to spend....well. I've seen all price ranges. Honestly, for us it really doesn't matter. We do this mainly for the kids and everytime they've received something, they have been ecstatic.

Another issue that arises is whether to put your name or cabin number on the gifts . Originally, the FE's were set up to be anonymous. We hold true to that and have never put our names on the gifts. Some people do, and that's ok. We understand that everyones financial situation is different. We have received everything from stuffed animals to candy and stickers. Our kids appreciate anything that is left for them. Do what you can afford.

If anyone has any other questions...just let me know!

Anyone or anyone sailing with someone 18-21? My sister is wondering if there will be anyone her age.

Absolutely, we would love to meet your group. Also, have you signed up for an FE group yet? If you haven't and you are interested, we have a couple of spots left. Let me know.

Your talking about the 5K for the Wine & Dine Race correct? I too missed out on registering for the 5K and half marathon for the Wine and Dine but I've done it many times before so it's okay.
