Adult hot tubs now close at 10 pm?! Anyone else upset?!

Quick rant here -

I've been cruising with DCL for 15 years. I've always enjoyed a dip in the hot tub after dinner and the show at night. Now that DCL is closing the hot tubs at 10 pm, that is no longer possible. This is very upsetting to me, as I don't enjoy bars at night. One of my, and my family's activities has always been hot tub time at night.

I'm curious if anyone else has been upset by this? If so, maybe it's time we rally and start writing DCL with our opinions as a group. When I talked to guest services about it on the Magic, they gave me nothing but ridiculous excuses as to why the hot tub hours have changed.

I'm literally a yearly customer to DCL. I have never shopped around for other cruise lines. This, is so frustrating though, as I hate to see more adult activities disappear on DCL ships.

Change the Quiet Cove hot tub hours back to closing at midnight DCL!!! Please!!!

It doesn't really affect me one way or the other, as we're not hot-tub people. But it does seem a little early, especially for those cruises that the weather cooperates.

They closed early on our WBPC cruise...so we skipped dinners and/or shows. We realize that we can't have it all. The plus side of going from 8-10pm...we were the only family there. The one night, this super sweet waiter came out and offered to bring us plated dinners from the sitdown buffet area and serve us at the pool!!! It was the best pixie dust ever and we definitely took care of him come gratuity time!

That is exactly what I need in this lifetime. A handsome dude in a uniform bringing me plates of yummy food while I enjoy a cocktail in the hot tub. And people ask me why I love Disney so much. Sigh.

Since I am rarely in the hot tub in the evening it wouldn't affect me. However, that is really early

10pm is really early! Too early!
If there are staff serving drinks and offering drinks they can monitor the activities and people in the hot tubs?

No food or drinks in the hot tub! lol!
Are they allowed in the fort? Standard policy is yes, along as you leave the trays in the corridor AFAIK!

10 p.m.? Last year on the Fantasy they were open until midnight and I did sneak up there a few times while my DH put our kids to bed. What a shame if they are closing earlier now!

That's a bummer. I can see where those quiet evening hot tub times would be so nice!

DH and I were hoping to use the hot tub in the early morning hours on our upcoming cruise. Does anyone know what time the hot tub opens in the morning?

Last week, adults couldn't even get in the hot tubs for all the young kids in there since they closed the pools early too.

Late night has always been the best time for DH and myself. It's an adult area - why does it close so early? I'm sure Dcl has an excuse - but unless it's a really do one, I don't see the need for it to close early.

We were told they close early now because there are less CMs monitoring the area after that time and kids were getting into them. I think after the few close calls with drownings and the massive payouts that have been rumored for at least one of them they have switched to being overly cautious when it comes to the pools. I don't remember the adult pool ever being netted our first cruise but now it is netted at 10pm on the dot.

My DH and I thought they closed everything up earlier compared to our last couple cruises on DCL over the past few years. Such as the pools, hot tubs, quick service food, etc…. We may be wrong, but it seemed earlier.

Yep, totally one of the reasons we are almost done with DCL. Our cruise in March on the Magic was a huge disappointment because of the pool and hot tub hours. We are from the West Coast, so 3 hours behind in time. We were looking forward to using the pool and hot tubs after dinner…closed! We're not bar people and they're wasn't much else to do. Even the family pool was closed from 6-8 when our kids could have used that, but with late seating it wasn't an option, only the wading pool was open.

We're doing Alaska because we can drive to port, but after that we are done :(
