"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Anyone?!? Thoughts on how Rider Swap works during the party? With the FP lines closed I'm curious if they even do rider swap at all.

Even without FP running I'm certain they still have CMs stationed outside the start of the line. Just approach them and tell them you would like a rider switch pass as you would do any other regular day. :)

Our MNSSHP party tickets came in the mail yesterday! Yay! Do I have to have them with me, or can I just use my MB? We have APs, so I'm not worried about it pulling off an extra day or anything.
We have been pouring over costume ideas and still haven't come up with anything! Right now it looks like DD15 and I may be superheros in tutus while DH is a regular superhero, but I'm not completely sold on the idea yet.

Since I bought mine through Disney, it's already on my MB, but I'm going to bring the hard ticket in my pocket, just in case there's an issue using my MB to enter. You shouldn't need it, but I like to have back ups.

We currently have a trip booked in early September, but we're contemplating moving it back so we can attend MNSSHP. We are just 2 adults, no kids. Those of you that have attended the party before, would that be worth it? We did the Christmas party once and we weren't exactly blown away-- but we've heard some good things about MNSSHP. How would you say the two compare? (Other than obviously being two different holidays and parties. :) Also, does everyone trick-or-treat or just the kids? What would you say are the best parts? What makes it "worth it" to you and your family? Thanks in advance for any advice!

My husband and I have been to both parties. No kids for us either. We had fun at the christmas party but we have a ball at the halloween party! I think MNSSHP is better. And that's saying something since Christmas is my favorite holiday! We've gone multiple times to it and always have fun! Definitely trick or treated, we wait until the end though so we don't have to carry around all that candy! You definitely want to see the fireworks, they are one of the best at disney, and the parade, it's amazing! Also they have characters out that you don't see otherwise. I don't know if you got to see the 7 dwarfs at the christmas party but they are out and also jack and sally from the nightmare before christmas if you are into them. I know my husband and I were really excited to see them. Also we love the decorations and how everything looks after dark, definitely cool! There some cool photopass pictures as well. The haunted mansion looks awesome at the party too! Also some of the characters are dressed in costumes, so it's a neat photo opp. Hope all of this helps!

Thanks, so much! This is definitely helpful.. and really makes me want to go!

Does anyone know which characters dress in special Halloween outfits during the party? Working on our autograph books and want to make sure I include them if so!

I think it is usually:

Minnie
Mickey
Daisy
Donald
Winnie the Pooh
Piglet
Tigger
Eeyore
Duffy does at Epcot I think...

Goofy meets with costumed Donald, but for who knows why Goofy just wears his outfit from the Circus meet.

Someone else can add on if they want, but I believe those are all the ones you can meet that have costumes...

We just bought out tickets for September 25th!pirate: I added the tickets to MDE account and now none of my tickets, AP and WP AP, are showing up in my account. :sad2: I'm sure it's just a glitch but I'm not sure if I should call them or not.

I also just bought tickets for September 22 and they show up in the Ticket area as linked to the correct friends. But, the tickets don't show as linked in my Family/Friends list.

I'm not using them for booking FPs and the hard copies are on their way. I do think you should call because your APs are involved. The MNSSHP tickets must be causing some problems with MDE... I've checked the website and the app.

I didn't think to check the app. I looked up my tickets on the app and all four (including my recently added MVMCP tickets) are on there. But still not on the website. So not as concerned now. :)

Finally decided! Mini-Me and I are going as Haunted Mansion maids 10/1. We bought the t-shirts that look like the maid uniforms, maid's headbands, and found matching tutus on Etsy. Simple, low key, easily portable, no makeup required, and not too hot.

We loved MVMCP as Christmas is our favorite holiday.....but this will be our first MNNSHP. I think what will probably put us over the edge is the fact that this time of the year is also F&W. We had our pictures with the 7Dwarfs that year at the Christmas party and that became our Christmas Card for that year.....we did have pics taken with Jack Skellington at Disneyland a year ago but would love to have Jack and Sally together. We're two adults too (our kids are grown and have flown the coop)! At first I didn't think we would trick or treat but we do love candy so I think we will for just a bit this year.

Question....how do you know where the characters set up during the party?

My daughter and I are doing the same thing! But, we ordered the Haunted Mansion aprons instead of the shirts. Have headbands to match. We can't wait...we have never been to the Halloween party before. When are you going? We will be there Tuesday Oct. 13th.

We'll be there 10/1. The party is a great time, you will love it!
