Disney Gift Card Deals

Tax seems to be a random issue. I went to buy some cards yesterday and tax showed up in Safari, but not Chrome. Try using a different browser.

Same here on the Ebates - haven't received a credit in a long time and I know it's not technically eligible but it was nice when we were getting them randomly about 2-3 months ago. I'll keep trying too as you never know.

The only time I've gotten credit on eBates was when I ordered items in addition to the GC. They gave me credit for the whole order even though only $20 was merchandise. It's a nice bonus, but I don't count on it.

Understood It was just weird when suddenly several of us were getting Ebates credit so I was pleased with the extra $ but then it stopped (as it should). My orders were gift cards only as well.

I am new to the whole using Disney GC to pay for part or all of your WDW vaca.
Question: What is the difference between using DVA -vs- disneygiftcard.com
Any advantage/disadvantage to either?

I am fairly new at this too, but I'm using DVA. From my POV, if your trip is more than 120 days out from your account opening date, DVA gives you a $20 gift card for each $1000 you spend. It's only 2% but every little bit counts for me.

I'm doing a combination of both. I'm buying discounted Disney GC's which I'll combine on disneygiftcard.com and then use to fund a DVA. I'll only fund enough to pay for our room only resort reservations and tickets to get the $20 gift card bonus per $1,000 spent. I'll also combine enough Disney gift cards onto one gift card to bring along to pay for food and souvenirs.

You can do both.....buy the gc at a deal then apply them to your DVA. I was too late to the party to do that this trip but I think I'm going to start for a future trip, maybe even a DCL.

Yeah, what she said! I had some older gift cards but they were the kind you buy at the disney store....I had 67 cents on one and less than that on the other......it wouldn't let me add those cards' funds to the Disney gift cards you can get at Target, though......so I have like $1.13 on one and $150 on the combined card. You can only have 5 gift cards at one time for the Disney gift card site.....so I was wondering, once you apply the funds from those cards to either your balance or your DVA, the balance on those cards go to ZERO, right? Then you could remove them from the site and start all over?

It's a weird thing. I used the browser on my iphone (safari), it had the tax. I didn't finish the sale and figured I'd deal with it later. When I later used my ipad, the tax wasn't on there. I went through ebates, though. Not sure if that made a difference.

Giftcardrescue has Target gift cards for 6.5% off and today's promo code of LOVE4 gets you $4 off $100 or more for a total discount of 10%+. You can combine a couple gift cards to get as close to $100 as possible.

Just signed up and unfortunately as a new customer you're limited to $100 in e card purchases the first month and there are not any exact $100 cards. I guess I could buy a physical card...

Thanks, found 3 gift cards that added up to 100.00 exactly.

I signed up about a month ago and my limit is supposed to go away tomorrow. The first physical delivery was a bit of a pain for me because they send it with signature required. As I'm not home during the day, I had to go to the post office to pick up. After the first delivery, I think they figure your physical address is confirmed. After that, it comes as a regular mail, which has been pretty convenient for me. I've purchased about $1,000 in gift cards and haven't had an issue yet (knock on wood).

I think you may be able to use the $5 off as a new customer GCRFIVE1. I'm not sure if it's stackable with the $4 though.

Thanks for the $5 off code...it worked on my order of $98.53!

This thread is so long, so I thought I would ask my question without searching forever. Help explain to me how the Target Gift Card works to buy the Disney Gift Cards online. I think you buy discounted Target gift cards, go online to purchase the Disney Gift Cards. What I don't understand is how do you get the redcard 5% off when you are not charging it on the Target, you are using Target Gift cards to purchase?????? Help, please. Thank you. I had already purchased $2500 worth at the store before I knew you could earn the extra discount doing it this way.

Thank you! I purchased $101.06 worth of Target gift cards for $89.47 with that promo.

Here's my quick summary: If your Redcard is the default payment method on your Target online account, you get 5% off even if you use the giftcards to pay for the order. So, you can purchase a discounted gift card for Target on a card reseller site (usually ~7%) then buy Disney cards online with your Redcard as the default but paying with only gift cards for another 5%. You end up with ~12% off your Disney vacation.

karenc15 - how do you checkout? You just enter the cards and the 5% still comes off? thank you
When I'm reviewing my order, it shows the 5% off. I click on the icon below that says use a gift card, then it shows me that I can combine the gift cards and the Redcard. When the amount on the gift cards I enter is equal or above the total, it says that the balance is enough to cover the order and I'm done. Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
