Yes...most unmagical thing during our vacation were those long bus lines at MK. And the far away bus stop.

We saw the same thing last March after Wishes, but it was raining too. We were waiting for the POR bus. Once one finally arrived, we calculated out how many buses and how long it would take to get to back. It looked like it was going to take at least an hour. We decided to walk to the Contemporary and get a cab. We did have to wait, because there was a line of people already waiting for cabs. But DS got to sleep on a bench, while we waited, and we got dropped off right by our building. I would definitely consider doing it again next time. However, we had a car, so next time we will just park at the TTC. We always do RD at MK, so we would be parked up front and could walk to the car after taking a bus or boat to the TTC. I wish they would fix the transportation bottle neck at MK.

We will be going to SWW next year for the first time. That's one reason I am reading your TR. Do you plan to go again next year? We are very excited.

Wow, I didn't think I could get a cab from the Contemporary but I know now that is an option! They really should think about having more buses during peak times, like park closing.

SWW was amazing! Unfortunately next year we'll be in WDW in Feb so probably won't be there for a May trip. But I'm definitely returning at some point again..maybe 2017? It was so much fun.

Love the TR!!! Somewhat based on the above, I just ordered the S120. The G7X was more than I wanted to spend. It was perfect timing to read this because I needed a point and shoot to drag around WDW in 12days and then England. Glad the question was asked!

Thanks and Welcome!! The S120 is a great camera! I know about it because my sister has the S100 and it took amazing pictures during our sister's trip in 2011 that I went out and got one for myself. Enjoy your trip! England...so exciting! London? I've been there a few times...mostly for work in the past but once I did go for fun and I loved it!

Firstly you don't EVER look fat!! But it is a great picture and totally looks like you have the park to yourselves!! Too bad that wasn't actually the case lol

It was so fun! I had one moment like that in the past...and it wasn't even at WDW...it was at Universal, but I spontaneously ran in to a DISer from Australia...what are the odds?!?

I think getting a camera that takes good low light pictures is important at Disney! I personally use a Canon G7X but I also like the Canon S120.
P.S. I am a former free-lance photographer so don't feel bad that your pics didn't come out too well. It took a LOT of practice and many months of learning to get my pictures to come our right.

I hate lines for the buses like that. Once at dhs we just turned right back around and saw the second fantasmic showing instead of waiting in that awful line.

Thanks! They were some good ones in the bunch. My sister is just going crazy with the borders and signatures...I am just too lazy for that so I let her handle it.

Yes! Meeting Tracy was fun! We should totally have met as well. Maybe next year! LOL

You're probably right. I should just stayed in the main street shops until the crowds clear our. I would do that if I wasn't so crazy tired...and once you walk to gate 34...there is no going back. Hahaha.

Yes BTMRR 3 times! I was surprised because MK was so crowded that day. But I guess people wanted to see the Electric parade.

Day 5 Part 1: Animal Kingdom - Safari time!

Today was AK day! We'll be at AK for a good chunk of the morning/afternoon with lunch at Yak and Yeti followed by some "free time" where we could all do whatever we wanted. I was planning to go to DTD to do some shopping! Then, we'd all meet at the Poly for dinner at 'Ohana - our favorite WDW restaurant! So excited!

First...a slightly still groggy me making my way to the food court...

We slept in a little bit today since last night was a looong time coming back to AoA with the crowded bus lines and all. We went to Landscape of Flavors to grab a quick bite to eat. We were not entirely ravenous at this point, so we all agreed to just split the waffle platter - we each got one Simba waffle and some bacon. It was good to tide us over and I knew we'd be eating a lot at Y and Y.

I don't remember any issues with the AK bus that morning so we got there without any incidents. Finally we made our way into the park!

We stopped by the Tree of Life to take some PP pics! Definitely was a warm day...my hair decided it would be frizzy today...and every day.

Our first FP+ was for the Safari so we made our way towards Africa, stopping to take this pic with Everest:

Off we go! I did not sit on the end, I actually sat in between DH and CS so I didn't get as many "good" pics as I usually do or else I'd be reaching over with my camera across their face. Since I'm usually at the end I let DH sit there this time. Even so, my camera has a pretty decent zoom so here are my pics from the safari:

Our next FP+ was back at the Adventure Outpost...we were going to meet Mickey and Minnie! So we backtracked a bit but I figure it's always good to do the Safari early to get the best light and best viewing of animals before it gets too hot and they are in the water or in the shade.


Off to meet and !!

But first, we saw that the line for Russel and Dug wasn't that long...so we got to meet them too!

Up is one of my favorite Pixar movies!!! Maybe the favorite...

After the UP meeting...my sister disappeared. We wondered where she went...as if we didn't know. We texted her she said she went to follow the trail of PP photographers. OK we agreed to head on in to meet Mickey and Minnie without her and she'll do a solo shot later.

She does them through the Disney site. It's a slow process though! That's why I have no patience for it!

Thank you!! I love Russel and Dug too! They were really adorable. My sister made me love the character pics. I really think that's what makes the trip special when you come home and can look at all these pics of yourself with the characters. Prior to 2011 I didn't actually have that many pictures, just a few here and there with DH and we never got the Photopass CD (now Memory Maker). But after our sisters trip in 2011, we took a TON of pictures and made a little album - it was so cute. If it's just myself and DH though, we probably won't do it because we like to spend our money on food. But with my sister, she definitely gets her money's worth!
