DisneyQuest Closing

Rumored for a while now DisneyQuest will now be closing at DTD west side. Disney also stopped offering vouchers for DisneyQuest in vacation packages and stopped selling DisneyQuest annual passes yesterday. The article doesn't specify a date but spring 2016 is what's rumored.

I've never had much desire to visit DQ (and thus have never been), but I have even less interest in visiting the NBA Experience. And this is coming from someone who played college basketball and still follows the sport quite closely on all levels.

I'm kinda sad about this. My husband has wanted to go for some time but our kids are still too short for most of the rides in there. I hope they give a final date soon- maybe we will schedule a quick long weekend to try it. NBA Experience does not sound fun at all- doubt we will go to that one.

I can not see the NBA experance making it long. Would like to see a new ESPN with greater improvements over the boardwalk restaurant.

I wonder what they'll do with all the arcade machines? Hopefully put them in the hotel arcades. I liked that they actually went and created a Fix-It-Felix game and had it there as well as tons of other games from the 80s and 90s.

This may not be the most futuristic idea, but why not convert the closed part Innoventions into Flynn's Arcade and convert some of the stuff in DQ into a Tron attraction....like they were going to circa 1983 anyway

Will be missed a lot. DQ really had something you cant really find anywhere else lots of retro video games that do not always work just like the originals. Well we are going to SSR this aug so I am sure we will make a stop here.

Aarrrrgghhh! I hate that. They're removing an attraction I like - and replacing it with an attraction I have no interest in.

Frankly I'm surprised that it lasted as long as it has. We went when it was pretty new and it was a lot of fun but IMO it has steadily gone downhill since then. That type of place should be refurbished very often since gaming and virtual reality change so quickly.

NBA experience. Likely restaurant, games etc.

In all honesty this place neve interested me and I'm a teenage guy. That place probably should've interested me. Not that the NBA experience will interest me anymore but. I'd rather have an NFL experience.

Nope that was NBA the restaurant or something. This will be NBA experience and it will be three times the size of the restaurant.

ABC/ESPN owns a MUCH bigger piece of the NBA TV pie than the NFL TV pie.
