Good points. We aren't doing a park on arrival day because we arrive at 430 in the afternoon. So making a 730 reservation at our resort is perfectly safe then. I do not want to spend 3 hours getting there so I'm going to look into the costs of other option. I appreciate your help!

You won't be spending 3 hours to get to your resort on ME. Since you are eating at your resort I would cut the time in half. You don't even have to check in before your dinner reservations unless you are using a dining plan. The 3 hours I mentioned gave time for check in, transport to parks, getting into park, getting to restaurant in park, etc (all the little things people don't think about that slow you down). None of this pertains to you since you are dining at the your resort

Remember that if you choose other transportation options you then have to collect your bags which will add to the time, making it pretty close to the same, and ME is free. I love FREE!! You will definitely be safe with a 7:30 reservation at your resort. Are you doing Artist's Point or Whispering Canyon?

I don't have to collect my bags if I'm doing the ME? Do they just watch the baggage carousel for bags with tags? I don't get it.

I could still see this taking a couple hours, worst case scenario if you just miss the bus or have a long line that you can't get on until the next bus, say 30 - 45 mins. Then a 30 - 45 min drive to the WDW area. If we aren't the first resort it could add quite a bit of time. So easily 2 hours for sure. If we get our luggage in 20 mins from arrival and get in a town car at a set rate we will be there in about an hour instead? I don't know. I'd like to maximize my evening and not be exhausted from travelling on a bus for hours...LOL.

Unless something is different with you coming from Canada, then when you check your bags in Canada you will see them at your room later. Anything you need for the first few hours I would pack in a carry on. I don't find it exhausting exactly the opposite. They do everything for me so I am less stressed. I do hear a lot of people like to get a town car though. I'm just too cheap to do it, lol

Well, it sounds like Jake is interested in the 5K! We will see if he follows through with that. He really enjoyed doing a tough mudder this past fall, so he might. I will wave at him as he leaves and then meet him at the finish line!

Silly question - I'm planning out the Fast Passes - I know we get an hour window, is it an hour from our reserved time? So if I book one at 10 I have till 11 to be there right?

My husband just thinks I'm being anal by setting up all these charts and finding where to go first and so on but it seems that you have to or you get to sit in line for your vacation.
