FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has yet started a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions. Lists may also be saved in pdf format and securely sent via the DIS conversation system.

Well, that's a bummer. I just noticed that a chunk of my original post was deleted (not by me!). I suggested that we start an email list just like every other group meet I've been in here on the Dis. I didn't notice where it says this is not allowed?! How are we supposed to organize stuff without email?

Ok, I reread everything again and looked up some threads about all these changes on other sites. I originally thought the new rule was just saying we couldn't post links to other sites, which I understood. But I guess that includes any organization outside the Dis period! That's really a shame since it's not easy to do all that stuff on here and it's nice to be able to keep in touch as real people.
