Be our guest... is it worth it?

And it's the only place that you can meet and have your picture taken with the Beast if your into characters.

Except in EPCOT daily...

And the food there is better to be honest.

It is a neat dining room...I can't say it's not...but i can't agree with reviews like the atmosphere is "amazing"...
I don't see it. It is just a really big open set of mass service rooms with some cool effects...

I don't know...I'm a critic yes...but 300 decibels and self service coke stations lining the walls just doesn't scream great ambience.

It's more pecos than it is grand Floridian cafe...just my opinion.

Yes it is worth going at least once. Food is very good (I prefer lunch) and, for Disney, reasonable compared to other locations. It is beautifully themed and the one place in MK that isn't a character meal or a cramped QS serving park fare.

Absolutely! The food is good and the atmosphere is amazing. Worth is subjective - if you are on the dining plan, it is absolutely worth the credit. If you are paying OOP, it becomes more questionable, but I would still say yes. If you are paying OOP, but not 100% sure if you like the menu, you may want to try lunch there instead for a similar atmosphere but cheaper food options.
This is good advice. I'm on the Dining Plan this fall & I have a ressie for BOG Dinner. I haven't been able to get in before during "free dining" so it's a first for me and something new. I have done the BOG lunch a few times & while I do think it is overhyped, I continue to go at least once each trip because it is great to have a newer, tasty alternative to MK's traditional counter service locations. I love Columbia Harbor House, but sometimes you need a break. I'm really looking forward to checking out the new Skippers Cantina when it opens later this year. More dining choices in MK are always appreciated.

We really loved it, one of our favorites. I had the steak and mac and cheese and it was fabulous!

Hello I have a reservation for dinner at be our guest when I go in September and was wondering if the food is actually worth it?

IMO, lunch is more enjoyable than dinner, but the dinner is enjoyable as well. The overall experience is wonderful. The first time I walked into the restaurant there were less than 10 people in there, just a few months after it opened, and it took my breath away. :) Enjoy your dinner.

By the way - the Master's cupcake is the best chocolate sponge I have ever had. I do not know how Disney nailed it on this one, but they sure did.

My husband and I ate at BOG in February 2014, I was super excited to eat in the castle and meet the beast. To be honest, we didn't think the food was that great and when him and I go back, we will not be trying to get a BOG reservation again. I am glad I tried it once but I am in no hurry to go back again.

I remember getting a sneak peek of the Castle interior a few weeks before it opened. I was standing in the Ball Room and asked the senior CM if guests would get a choice re which room to eat in. She replied "Absolutely not. The demand will be so high for this experience that there will be no choice." In a way, she was correct. While I have been lucky at lunch to get into the West Wing twice, and have eaten in the Ball Room once, there are times when high capacity means taking whatever table wherever it is available. And clearly Disney was always well aware of the demand for this restaurant. Even before it opened.

It is "worth it" as an experience, because it is unique to WDW (much like CRT). IMO, the food itself isn't worth it (lunch is a better value than dinner but no Beast), but it is fun to eat there.

We're glad we ate there once but we won't go back. Large and crowded; very noisy. Food was just ok.

It's the kind of thing you have to try once or you won't know if you like it or not.

Where can you meet the Beast in EPCOT?

On these boards I often feel like the only BoG naysayer out there. Glad to see I'm not the only one in the boat.

For the OP, if you want to get in to see it then try and get a reservation and to it. But don't sweat it if you don't. There is much better food to be had in the world and I think Enchanted Tales w/Belle is the real beauty and the best experience.

For us I became consumed with finding a reservation when it first opened like everyone else. When we got there I thought the castle was cool to a degree, given that it was really just a couple of big rooms and not a castle, but the food was nothing spectacular. Never felt the need to go through the ADR madness again for what was a mediocre meal. We've done lunch twice since then when I was able to get some of the last minute fast passes. The food is pretty solid, but for me it was really about getting out of the heat for lunch. As someone who refused to play the ADR shell game, I much prefer liberty tree or the plaza for those occasions now.

I've had dinner on the dining plan and breakfast oop. Dinner was worth it but breakfast was not. The breakfast food was good but pricy. I'd keep the res as being inside the castle is amazing.

I have been fortunate to eat at BOG for dinner twice and for lunch once. I preferred the dinner experience and food much more. The food at lunch was good, but nothing that I would rave about, and the price is a little higher than a typical counter service. For this reason, I am not in any hurry to give it a try for breakfast.

For dinner, I had two different meals each time, and both were delicious and one of the best meals I had at the World. Many will say the food is just okay, but I found it to be excellent in terms of quality. The choices are not as simple as at some places, but this is another thing I like about BOG. It offers more than just burgers and nuggets at a fairly reasonable price compared to other table service locations.

To put things further in perspective, I tend to find the more difficult to get reservations such as 'Ohana and Le Cellier just okay, and while I have enjoyed going to them, the value is not there for me, especially if paying OOP.

Well he was readily available in the France pavilion...but I double checked and apparently they pulled him when the restaurant opened.

Doesn't honesty change my review of the place that much though.

I appreciate your review...but I'm trying to get a frame of reference on your preferences in terms of menu quality...

Ohana and Le cellier are hard to get but they don't crack the top 20 restaurants on property as far as food quality goes - my opinion.

I found be our guest to be good for magic kingdom - but not comparable to offerings in many other hotels and some of the places in studios and EPCOT.

It's better than Tony's, better than the bad dinner at liberty tree, and comparable to crystal palace (buffets are hit or miss) and cinderellas (I don't condone cinderellas because its so not a good deal for the upcharge).

I've had breakfast and lunch there, but not dinner. Paid OP both times. It was a fun experience and if I could walk in I might do it again but I wouldn't go out of my way or stress over getting an ADR. Given you already have one, I'd keep it if not for anything other than the experience.
I didn't want to be the only one to say it, but I totally agree about not stressing over an ADR to get in. It's nice, but not that special IMO. Like you though, I have only been for breakfast and lunch, never for dinner. Are the dining rooms different for dinner--fancied up in any way with tablecloths, silver, etc.? I'm going in December and my ADR time is coming up next week. I wasn't overly impressed with breakfast and lunch--although probably the best that the MK has to offer. The dinner menu looks pretty good, but wouldn't go there unless the atmo changes somewhat for the dinner crowd. There are other great options right near the MK for me to choose over this--California Grill, Narcoosee's, etc. Let me know if you think it's worth the expense for dinner at BOG.

I agree with you completley...and I would never give up any of the better restaurants outside the gate for the beast cafeteria...

The food in magic Kingdom is not that great - nor do they seem to care. How can you justify the existence of Tony's terrible pasta house if they cared?
You can't.

And the dining rooms are vastly overrated. Can't stress that enough.
