Soooooo excited! Just booked this cruise. We always wanted to do a Panama Canal crossing and the dates were never right. But now they ARE!!!!!!!

Before we took our first cruise we were sure that this would be a one time thing, but like everything else at Disney, we fell in love with cruising and this will be cruise no 16 since 2009.

Looking forward to get to know many of our fellow cruisers! :flower3:

Anyone in for a FE exchange?
FE Exchanges are very popular, so the number of participants can get quite large, especially as the cruise date nears.
So not to scare someone off by a giant group, the group will be broken up into smaller groups (of about 15 “participant groups” – works better than staterooms as often a family has more than one stateroom).

Be aware that the groups will be divided BY DECKS to minimize the time you will need to deliver the gifts.
To give everyone time to prepare, the deadline to join the FE Exchange will be JULY 15, 2016. I will then post links to all the individual groups.
Please let me know if you would like to join MORE than 1 group.

To join the FE Exchange, please send me a “Private Message” with the following information:

*Stateroom Number

*Names of everyone in your cabin

*Ages of children

Sharing the same excitement today. We transferred our last dummy booking. A Canal cruise has been on our radar for a while. Liked these dates too.

We are! We are! We booked this and the four day repo cruise before it. 18 glorious days on our favourite ship. We transferred our Star Wars cruise to this and are so happy about it. The timing works a whole lot better and its over twice as long on the boat. Super hyped about it. We plan to drive to Vancouver (yay less airfare!). It will be me (celebrating my 30th!) and my mom (celebrating retirement!) and my four kiddos P(boy 9), C(girl 7), E(boy 5) and A(girl 4). We are experiencing whole new room types too on this cruise and the 4 day will put us at gold for the first time. I can't even describe how excited I am for all of it. (My eldest was telling everyone at school today, I had to keep reminding him it was well over a year away.)

We have booked this EBPC. Come join us for fun.

We are Dennis and Angie. This will be DCL cruise #21 for us and our 3rd PC but the first time going east thru the canal. Please join up and tell us about yourselves!

Hi! DH and I are hoping to be able to move to this cruise :) We'll be discussing tonight! Fingers crossed! ^_^

We've booked this cruise, DH and three kids 13, 10, and 7 at time of sail. Just sailed through on the West bound trip and loved it so much we've booked another one. The longer cruises are the way to go with Disney, in my opinion. We're interested in FE groups. Will be great to meet you all!

YES! We are changing our reservation to this one! :cool1:
We booked onboard earlier this month on a dummy. Found out prices for the CHristmas 2016 cruise and it's more expensive then this one!

We're currently booked on this cruise, but we're not 100% we're staying with it. I don't know the school start date yet for 2016, so I don't know if the kids would miss 6 or 8 days of school. And although we've pulled them out of school for trips before, we're a little nervous about it being the first week or 2 of school. So we're still debating. My daughter will be 13 and starting 8th grade at the time of the cruise, and my boys will be 10 and 8, starting 5th and 3rd. I REALLY want to do it, but just not sure about the school situation yet.

Don't forget labour is in there so that is a no school day, we figured missing the first few days is easier then missing 2 solid weeks

That's interesting because we're taking this cruise since it's between summer and fall trimester for DH (med school). This fit beautifully between so he doesn't miss anything.
So the time this cruise is going is when schools are starting?

Welcome!
Still more than a year to go and the excitement is already building up! We were booked for another cruise in summer of 2016 and when we found out about the dates we just jumped on it and changed our plans.

Great to hear that you are on board and that you are going back to back. 18 days on board is fabulous!
You sure have a lot to celebrate! :goodvibes

We have a son that will be starting grade 10 and a daughter who will be starting grade 7 we were on the fence too, it was hard missing 2 weeks at the end of the year here, they are still not 100% into school, so I'm thinking it will be easier missing a few days at the beginning then the ones at the end, sept 5th is a school holiday here so that makes it a little better ( I keep telling my self that lol)

Great thinking! :thumbsup2

We moved our placeholder to this cruise, very excited. Nothing like a 14 night Disney cruise. We'll be cruising with a large group who we've done the WBTA with. Can't wait!

I wish I knew for sure when school is starting. It's been varying a lot. If we don't start until the Wednesday before Labor Day, it's only 6 days missed, and I'd be much more comfortable. But if it starts the Monday before, it's 8 days, and that's harder. Just don't know. I REALLY want to do it, but I'm worried about the school transition with missing the beginning. It's good academically since they're just getting settled in. But it's hard socially.

We are very excited!! Cruise number 6 for us. It's Me (42), DG (42) and our daughter (8). Will miss the first 2 weeks of fourth grade, but rather that than the testing windows in May. We would love to do an FE, we did one on our last Dream Cruise and my daughter LOVED IT!!

We are as excited as you are - did the same thing, moved an on board booking over to this one. :cool1:
And 14 nights will be so awesome, especially with so many sea days! :thumbsup2

That sounds pretty annoying. Not knowing when school starts is no fun.
I find it a bit funny that school starts a few day before a holiday. Wouldn't it make more sense to start right after the holiday? Well, what do I know :rotfl2: our holidays are very predictable here.

I can understand being excited and we will be on cruise no 16. ;) Every DCL cruise is special, so there is always excitement. ::yes::
I have put you on the FE list - can't wait to start planning for it!
