2014/2015 Beach and Yacht Club FAQ, Friends & Fun, Sept 2014-Mayl 2015

Reading through the last couple of days posts, and whether the busses run for early breakfasts. We have a 7am at Chef Mickey's (blame the jet lag and the fact we will already have been awake for 3 hours!) on an EMHM MK day. Does anyone know what time the busses start then? If they start around 7:15 on a day the MK opens at 9, would they maybe start 6:15 that day, so we can get a bus and walk to the Contemporary on time? Does anyone know please?

We added a day to our reservation! We will be arriving Sept 1 for five nights . So excited as we have never stayed deluxe and this is celebrating our 20th anniversary!!

We are booked for a standard room. I know that usually means parking lot or roof view. But what about the locations of the rooms themselves? The hotel looks huge and spread out. Are most standard rooms a pretty long walk from the lobby, pool, exits, etc?

I had asked about being able to get counter seating without an ADR because I wanted my beloved No Way Jose . That is a specialty sundae that is usually only served within the restaurant. There is a to-go menu that is limited to a select number of desserts, including ice cream in a cone/cup or milkshakes.

Hi Everyone,
I am new here and have spent the last few days reading a lot of these threads and different forums. My husband, daughter and I will be staying at the Beach Club, Woods view room on 9/18-9/26. This will be our first time at Disney and we are really excited to stay at the beach club. I am hoping someone can answer this question my daughter is a really picky eater and most of the ADR's that I have booked have Mac & Cheese as a selection but it is not on the menu at Cinderella's Royal table ( dinner menu ). Are the menus listed on the Disney website complete as in that is all they offer or is it possible to get something not listed on the website menu?

Most of the standard rooms are above the lobby and restaurant area of the resort. They are fairly close to the lobby, which is convenient for buses, restaurants, elevators and SAB, but it is a little bit farther walk for Epcot. Here is the resort map and most of the standard rooms are located above and to the left of the lobby facing the parking lot side.

Hi Everyone. We are staying at the Yacht Club from 9/13-9/9. My parents decided they would like to join us, but it seems there are no rooms available left except for club level during those dates. I am relatively new to Disney planning so I was wondering if anyone knew why. Could there be a convention in the hotel, or is it just a very popular resort? Thank You

I was going to guess Food & Wine, but that starts September 25.

I agree with a PP - try Beach Club and Beach Club Villas.

We don't usually know if there is a convention in the hotel.

Someone might have given you better advice, but if I wait until I read through the next two pages of posts, I won't remember where your post was if I try to go back to reply!

Yep! you took a wrong turn lol. HH is not in the fenced area.

Thankfully we have more than just two days there this time, so we should be able to figure out where we're going this time around I still can't believe we're going to be able to stay there our whole trip this time, even if it's not for as long as I'd like (of course, when is it ever?).

Sundays are tough but if we made it right after I work (let's say 5:45), it would work ... just can't stay too long unless we grab a bite to eat again. Then I could come straight home and hop into bed. Let me know what you think.

Robyn - currently don't have plans to be there at that time, however, I did request a Magical quote after seeing your post..... DH will probably not agree as we have this upcoming trip in 3 weeks with our boys, but it can't hurt to get a quote!

I have gotten really behind on the thread, I have been reading along but haven't commented for several pages and I need to make about 20 pages of updates to the Be Our Guest list, so if you haven't been added yet, hopefully soon.

Hello All my BC/YC friends!! It's been a very long time since I stopped in! Trying to plan our next vacation, and have been looking at all the resorts. But we keep coming back to our love of BC. And for so many reasons.....CM's, SAB, ease of walking to Epcot, boat ride to HS, the Boardwalk Swan and Dolphin with all of their dining options. I could go on and on.

Since this trip will be just the two of us, I was hoping for a king bed. How hard is it to get one? Are they only avail in certain levels of rooms?

Dee: Our dates will be Sept. 12 - 19th!!! Hot, humid, rainy.....but hoping for very low crowds Can you add us to the Be Our Guest List pretty please? Richard and I can't wait to visit with Teena again .

Hello! Question about Boardwalk Bakery location. Staying at YC in August, and thinking we might stop here for breakfast one morning on walk to Epcot or DHS. Is it on the way to either of those parks or do we need to make a detour?

So sorry to hear about the very rocky, and noisy start to your stay. I was glad to read subsequent posts that you were moved and starting to enjoy your stay. We appreciate hearing honest reviews of the resorts, even when it is not all unicorns and rainbows. We have received inquiries about how the renovation work is affecting guests, so your input has been helpful.

We make a 3:00 ADR just for ice cream! The first time we ate there we had dinner too, but didn't really care for it. Just ice cream for us!

I don't see you on the Be Our Guest list, so I will add you.

I'm a little worried if this is the case as we will have two pre opening breakfasts that we will be planing on. Don't think that it can be fair that their isnt early morning buses for one resort but their is for another. Wonder who to ask to confirm... as a taxi for us would cost a lot as there will be 5 or 7 of us.
