I've never heard of that. I'm hoping it isn't true. We have 2 prepark breakfasts at MK for our trip in 3 weeks.

I just emailed the IPO at Beach Club to ask about the early morning buses. We won't be there until August but I would like to know beforehand.

I'm not saying I know anything at all about the busses, BUT, they often denied the early morning busses anyway, claiming that "they start running an hour before park opening" which was never true!!

I feel bad for the person that has to be the guinea pig, but I'd rather hear it from a guest than a CM.

If we were staying at the boardwalk but wanted to have something to eat at Hurricane Hannas is that possible? Not sure if HH is within the fencing of the pool area where only YC/BC guests can get in.

Thanks!

HH is not in the fenced area, neither is the bar. You are good to go!

We are here now and were just told they no longer run buses for early morning breakfasts. The woman at the dining/transportation desk even called her supervisor to double check. She said the buses won't start until 8 since MK opens at 9. She said they stopped the early buses. She ordered a taxi (with a carseat for us) so we are set - although it's another $15. Just very surprised - MK has 3 restaurants with early morning breakfasts. Has anyone else heard this?

I don't know if they've truly removed the early ADR buses or not. But I will say that I have been told multiple times by CMs and multiple resorts that these early ADR buses don't exist. I really hope that is the case here.

Ok, Chip at the Y&BC IPO just wrote back and said:

I have recently had the same inquiry from another guest, and I have confirmed with Disney Transport that we do indeed still offer the early busses to our theme parks. They begin approximately 6:45 AM. The busses will begin regular operation 1 hour prior to park open. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist for your upcoming stay. We look forward to speaking with you. See ya real soon!

I just received the same reply from Beach Club IPO this morning. They replied back very quickly as I sent them an email about it about 20 minutes before they replied back and received the same answer as isaboo

In making room requests for the BC, I was advised that a Garden/Woods view room does not qualify for a courtyard view; the room type would need to be upgraded for a courtyard view.

Did they change something? This just does not sound right.

Here now and the construction has bit us squarely on the keister. Asked for a full balcony, high floor - received a really nice room with a full balcony on the 2nd floor. Was very pleased despite not be refurbished...until the noise started. We were in 2596 and the construction was directly above us - no joke or exaggeration - it sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling. Drilling non stop, hammering, slamming - really awful - Luckily our 4 year old was able to nap through it but my husband and I were fairly miserable. The email from the Beach Club said construction would happen daily from 10-4 - not true - 8:30 - 6pm.

Sorry to hear (I hate having to move rooms as well), but glad your vacation got back on track! We'll be going in late August, and although they were originally slated to be done with the refurb by Aug 22, it's likely that they could fall behind. By then, I'm sure the odds will be in our favor of getting a refurbed room (which is my top priority, as it's one of the reasons I chose BC over Poly for this trip), but I'm still curious - when you did your check-in, did you have priority on getting a balcony or a high floor? I'm thinking to avoid either a non-refurbed room or one adjacent to construction having only "high floor" as a requirement would help... (but, then a full balcony would be nice too - lol)... just curious what order you requested. Thanks, and have a great trip!

The CMs find out sometime in November after the lottery is done. Everything must be done by Thanksgiving is the rule. They start on November 1st. Once we were done around the 7th of November. We normally get told in early November about when it will go up. Sometimes the carousel goes up a day or two before the Christmas Fairies arrive to do the resort. Last year was the latest I've ever seen the Y&B done. Obviously we were pulled out of the hat last.
Thanks for the info! We're there the 8th-13th and I'm sure it'll be too early, but I'd really really love to see all the decorations. I'll cross my fingers :)

Not sure if this was an isolated experience but when we ate there in November we had to scan our MBs to get to HH, even after letting the CM at the gate know we were only going to eat. It was definitely in the fenced-in area, unless we just went in the wrong way (which is completely possible, we were only there a couple days and hadn't completely learned our way around).

Yep! you took a wrong turn lol. HH is not in the fenced area.

That was my exact strategy. I really want a refurbed room, so I requested high floor. I'm taking my chances on the balcony.

I guess it depends on where the courtyard is, since the Beach Club doesn't have a courtyard view category. We had booked a garden view room once and we had a view of the courtyard that is between the BC and the villas. It was considered a garden view because it has something green, I guess. :confused3 I would suppose that some of the rooms that overlook the courtyards that are on the lagoon side of the resort would be considered lagoon views.

I'm a little worried if this is the case as we will have two pre opening breakfasts that we will be planing on. Don't think that it can be fair that their isnt early morning buses for one resort but their is for another. Wonder who to ask to confirm... as a taxi for us would cost a lot as there will be 5 or 7 of us.

Sorry for the scare - we were given bad info. Saw the MK bus at the stop at 7:15 as we drove away in our $15 cab:headache:. No one seems to be well informed about the early buses however. We asked the valet guy as we waited for the taxi - he didn't know either so he ran in for us to ask and came back out to say that he asked both people at the desk - one said no early buses anymore - the other said yes but they aren't on a regular schedule. Frustrating no one has a straight answer.

But we did see the MK bus at the Beach Club at 7:15 on a day that the park opened at 9. You will be fine.

Had a great experience at BOG breakfast other than that glitch. We couldn't get A&E fast passes which is why we did the early BOG breakfast. We were the 2nd family to see them that morning. By the time we got out (and our daughter wandered through the gift shop) the stand-by line was 45 minutes. It had a huge difference in our morning. Got through just about everything in Fantasyland by 11. Now we are just waiting for our daughter to wake up from her nap to go back to MK.

Coconut - I asked for full balcony first - higher floor 2nd. I did the online check-in and had a text by 11:30am (while we were on the Magical Express) with our room assignment. Both of our unfurnished rooms have been in great shape. Hope you get what you want!

Thanks for your thoughts, Sue.

I have always booked Garden View, except for the first visit to BC, when I reserved a Standard View room; it overlooked a flat gravel roof with cigarette butts :(. After that, I always have booked Garden View, with no problem asking for courtyard view, which had flowers, green, etc., when my request has been met.
