We usually dedicate 2-3 days just lounging at the pool, no parks. Does anyone know, now that Beaches and Cream has ADRs, if getting a sundae is at all possible in the middle of the day? Obviously I would love it if a No Way Jose could be purchased at the to-go window :worship: but how is the seating at B&C mid-day at the counter? Doable? Thanks for any suggestions :teeth:

85 days to go until we are sitting in the sun and heat at SAB! Dreaming of that heat-I refuse to complain when we get there because today is 35 degrees, had snow on the ground this morning and I will be sitting out in the flurries for 2+ hours at a lacrosse game tonight trying to stay warm in my winter coat and under 3 blankets! Disney dreaming....

We make a 3:00 ADR just for ice cream! The first time we ate there we had dinner too, but didn't really care for it. Just ice cream for us!

That's what I'm wondering myself! We used to stop in mid-afternoon to get a couple of No Way Jose sundaes, but without an ADR, I don't think it's possible? We don't want to eat a whole meal there-just want the sundae! LOL!

Packing now! :yay: Is soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc provided at BCV?? My memory is that it is not and I'm packing all that stuff. Would love to know for sure though so I don't over pack the toiletries.

We were at AKV last month and the bathroom in the 1 bedroom had shower gel, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, a bar of bath soap and a bar of facial soap. I would assume BCV would be the same.

If you are staying on a cash reservation then you will get all of those supplies and they will be replenished daily. I think a points stay gets service every four days.

We just did the same thing for our upcoming trip this summer....made an ADR for 3:00 on our "no parks day" just for ice cream at Beaches & Cream. Figured that was the only way we were going to get in. Annoying because I would really like to go when the mood for ice cream strikes us & not have to schedule it. Oh well, it's our first time staying at Yacht Club & really wanted to go to B&C :)

So sorry for your experience! I hope your new room is quiet. My husband mixed up the dates on my kids' fall break last year so we had to stay at the Poly a couple of nights before moving to GF. As you may know, they were renovating the lava pool at that time as well as building the new bungalows at that time (at Poly). We were in a TPV CL room, and there were dump trucks coming in with loads of dirt all night long! We didn't get any sleep that night. Evidently, they were not supposed to be working at night, so they refunded our money for the night and moved us to a different room (although we were really sleepy at the Halloween party the next night). I hope they will make the workers stick to the schedule at BC because it should be whatever hours were stated in the email. I hope the rain stops soon and you all have a fantastic time!

Thanks Dispro. Rain did stop and an afternoon at the pool was just the trick to readjust our attitudes :) Room is much quieter. I'm glad the Poly attempted to right the situation for you.

We are here now and were just told they no longer run buses for early morning breakfasts. The woman at the dining/transportation desk even called her supervisor to double check. She said the buses won't start until 8 since MK opens at 9. She said they stopped the early buses. She ordered a taxi (with a carseat for us) so we are set - although it's another $15. Just very surprised - MK has 3 restaurants with early morning breakfasts. Has anyone else heard this?

I've never heard of that. I'm hoping it isn't true. We have 2 prepark breakfasts at MK for our trip in 3 weeks.

I just checked and there is NO availability for an ADR the days we are spending at the pool. I'll still try and see if we can get counter seats. No room for spontaneity or last minute plans at Disney lol.

I don't think so.

:)

Not sure about the balconies on either of those two rooms.

Off the coast of Massachusetts.

:rotfl:

Sorry, couldn't resist!

It is in the corridor between BC and YC, behind Beaches and Cream. Next to Cape May as Floridagirl61 pointed out.

:cool2:
Funny funny! Date night!! I have never been to BC so it's all new for me. This thread is so useful!

Possibility it will be two weeks from the 12th. We have to wait a while to make the decision.
That's the dates we will be there too!! But sounds like a fun vaca. Can you promise at least you have nice replacements in your absence?

I know I said this before, but I'm so excited to be staying at Beach Club this fall during F&W! Making more plans lately, finally, and I can't wait - I really thought i wouldn't be going this year, so to have plans now is so exciting.

Just wondering - I posted this on a separate thread but I thought you guys might have an opinion. I was thinking about buying my mom a MNSSHP ticket for her birthday (to be used on our trip, she'd love it!). But the only date that would work for our plans and trip is the 9th of October. When I do some research, it looks like that is expected to be a very busy night for MNSSHP - it's a Friday night and just a fairly busy time anyway.

So I'm wondering if buying her a ticket is a good idea, and looking for opinions. We've been twice, this would be our third trip to the MNSSHP. I'd buy a ticket for myself as well, of course, so we could go together. But is it worth it if it's a busy night? I guess that's my real question. Anyone have an opinion for me?

I'm a little worried if this is the case as we will have two pre opening breakfasts that we will be planing on. Don't think that it can be fair that their isnt early morning buses for one resort but their is for another. Wonder who to ask to confirm... as a taxi for us would cost a lot as there will be 5 or 7 of us.

I am wondering if this is another change for Disney, no early morning buses to Parks, and not letting you modify your resort reservations unless there is availability for the same room that you have booked. If these are permanent changes I am not happy about them. I like to have early morning breakfasts at the parks and I also like to add days to my vacation or change them according to my flights. I have seen other threads concerning the new resort reservation policy, now I will have to watch out for "bus" threads also :sad2:

We ended up attending 2 sold out parties last year, despite trying to plan for lower crowd nights. o_O However, we fully enjoyed both parties. Even in a "sold out" crowd, the park was far less busy than even a moderately crowded day. Almost all rides were walk-on, we got to meet almost all the special characters, and did some trick or treating, too! The only time the park felt crowded at all was on Main Street before the first parade/fireworks. That was a madhouse. Other than that, crowds were not an issue at all. I say go for it and enjoy!!!!
