Disneys marketing money goes for the people who have never been, they want those once in a lifetime visitors because I they will spend the most and that market is the largest. Return guests don't soend as much as them, those guests are looking to save money on vacations.I don't think they are feeling embarrassed at all. I think they are proud that they have maintained gains in attendance without spending a penny at WDW, and rubbing their hands together with how much money they are going to make in their Asian markets. I don't think they grasp how much money they are leaving on the table from guests that feel like WDW is not a good deal for a vacation any longer and won't go, or will go, but not spend as much time there (on property). Lot's of people go to Disney, but spend several days doing other things off property. That is a lot of lost revenue.
That MiceAge Update...Friendly reminder today is April 1st. Do not believe most things you read online today.
