The Young Avengers: A Very Avengers Holiday (YARP Part 6)

OOC: What relationship? Honestly, Fury doesn't care. Raven's his girl, he relies on Phil, and he has a fondness for Natasha and Clint. All other SHIELD agents he'd help if they were in danger and he was there but otherwise they're just ssubordinates, just agents, and he has no particular thoughts about any of them. He doesn’t even notice June.

Making June out to be disapproved of and hated by everybody is tiresome

Jay: "Hey Gordon, there's a very important Christmas tradition you need to now about." He found a Christmas how and put it on his own head. "This is fashionable."

Gordon: Hs looked at him strangely. "Alright."

April 1996

Clint: Training Natasha was going really well. He was growing quite fond of her. Clint flirted with Natasha a lot. Well, he did with most attractive ladies. But, this was different. Like he really really like her. WHAT THE HECK BARTON?! He didn't feel that way a lot. He knew know the time they kissed before was to malnipninate him, but wooza it was still unforgettable. The two were lifting weights. "Hey Nat, want to go get dinner tonight?"

Nat: "I already have food back in the apartment, but thanks."

Clint: "Oh come on! It'd be fun. I heard there's a great pizza place down a few blocks down the road."

Nat: "No thank you."

Clint: He sighed. "Please?"

Nat: "No."

Clint: "You can't focus your whole life on work. You have to have fun sometimes."

Nat: "No, I really don't."

Clint: "Well work at it this way, you should really start to know the people here. Team bonding. I'll get a bunch of us."

Nat: "Well that is true."

Clint: "Yeah! Come on, please."

Nat: "Aright."

Clint: "Sweet."

April 1996

Nat: She went out to eat with a bunch of the NYC SHIELD employees. Nat was a bit stiff at first, but loosened up a bit and let her self have fun. It was nice. She was always great with people, but never really let her self have fun. Maybe it was okay to not always be focused on work.

Fury: "It's good to see you."

Raven: "You too Dad."

Fury: "How are things going?"

Raven: "...Some things have been difficult, other stuff isn't so bad. How are you?"

Fury: "Life on the run has its stresses."

Raven: "Not trying to be rude, but you had it coming, getting all comfy in your helicarrier while we field agents were roughing it."

Fury: "Oh, like you suffered on most of your missions."

Raven: "True enough."

Fury: "Heard you've made some reconnections with people in your past recently."

Raven: "Wasn't looking to, and then - wham! - everybody all within an hour. Wasn't prepared for that."

Fury: "No on ever really is. Still hurting from the blows and falls?"

Raven: "Not much now."

Fury: "I also heard one of those reconnections was with a certain band."

Raven: "Who? Coulson?! Wilson?!"

Fury: "No, neither. Neither know as far as I can tell, and I don't plan on telling them. You thought I really left you alone unprotected and unmonitored?"

Raven: Raven ducked her head. "No, I suppose not."

Fury: He laid a hand on her shoulder. "I trust your decisions. I know you're struggling with a choice. I won't make it for you. Like I said, I trust your decisions. And who knows, maybe a few years as a rock star would be good for your health and mind, get your head straight. All that said, if my contact tells me your pretty boy guitarist has been mistreating you, I will come back just to kick his-" (OOC: We all know what was about to be said)

Raven: "He's not mine," she muttered. Then she blushed. "Dad!" She rolled her eyes. "And when do you plan on telling me who my stalker is?"

Fury: "You're an agent. Figure it out yourself."

Raven: She handed him a case for a pair of custom Oakley's. "Here, Merry Christmas, Dad."

Fury: "Oh, right, presents. Thank you, Raven," he added genuinely. He gave her a large bag filled with random things. "One Fury care package for you. Wasn't sure exactly what you'd need or like, so I included almost everything I found that I thought you'd like."

Raven: "This is great. Thanks Dad."

Fury: "No problem Athena." He looked around suddenly. "I can't stay. Even now, there are still people searching for me. For you too, so be careful. Keep both eyes open."

Raven: "Yes sir."

Fury: He hugged her briefly. "If you need me, you know. Go inside where it's warm. This isn't the last time you'll see me." And then he was gone.

Raven: She stood there for a minute, then went inside.

Fury: 'How's my girl?"
Natasha: "Life is really good. I love spending so much time with the kids and live in this gorgeous building. But I do yearn and miss Agent Work constantly. It's kinda hard to adjust not doing it. You? Raven seems to be doing better."

Fury: "Good to hear, must be nice having a break. How's our Clint? You sure Raven's okay? I know she's hard to read when she's in control. She's getting pretty good at lying."
