Hello, All! My DD(16) and I are super excited to finally be back on another Disney ship. This will be our third Disney cruise and first time on the Fantasy.

Well... I am nervously about to volunteer to organize the FE Exchange. I have a friend who organized the last two I was a part of, and I think we can make it fun and not stressful. If you plan on participating, please send me a PM. I don't want to inadvertently miss someone who posts on this thread.

If everyone is okay with me organizing things, here is some information for you:

FISH EXTENDER EXCHANGE
We will keep it fun and simple. There won't be a theme or assigned delivery days to deal with. It will be up to you whether you want to do one gift per cabin or individual gifts for everyone in each cabin. The closer the date of the cruise, the more participants we'll begin to see. The number can grow pretty quickly. So, I would like to know upfront how many cabins you are comfortable exchanging with so I can coordinate the groups accordingly. I'd like to know your comfort level ahead of time. It will make setting up the exchange groups much easier, and you will have a more positive experience.

To give everyone time to prepare, the deadline to join the FE Exchange will be SATURDAY, JULY 4, 2015. By Monday, July 6, I will send Private Messages to all participants with all the details of your FE group. This will give everyone a month before the cruise to prepare.

To join the FE Exchange, please send me a "Private Message" with the following information:
*Cabin Number
*Names of everyone in your cabin
*Ages of children
*Any allergy considerations
*The size of the FE group you want to be in: No more than 20, No more than 40, No more than 60, or Sky's the Limit

If you are new to the DIS Boards:
(FYI: You will need to make ten posts before you can send a Private Message)
*Easiest way to send a “Private Message”:

Hello!! I'm so excited for this cruise in August! This will be our family's 2nd Disney cruise. My husband, my 6 year old son and myself will be cruising.

I just was on Pinterest and saw fish extenders gift ideas?? I'm not sure what these are for? I saw a post for them earlier in this group, but could some one please explain.

We booked a ocean view stateroom for this cruise however, the room we were giving is located on the 2nd deck. Midship. Has anyone ever been located down there before? We are paying the highest rate for an ocean view room so it can't be horrible, right?

I think of fish extenders (FEs) as kind of like a stocking at Christmas. It's a secret Santa sort of thing. Passengers buy/make gifts for people in their FE group and secretly at some point of the cruise put them in the FEs. Plus it's fun running all over the ship delivering the gifts. MY MIL made ours. I remember looking at other passengers doors, deocrations and FEs wondering what it was all about. Now I'm addicted to it all! Hope that helped. Let me know if you have more questions.

We are interested in doing the fish extenders, but my question is.....Do you put something in the pocket each day or is this a one time stop during the cruise? We will have 2 cabins since there are 6 of us. Can we sign up for 2 different groups of participants or do we stay in the same grouping. I have been gathering goodies, but not sure how many I need to gather. Would appreciate any information regarding the numbers.

I have a question regarding the ages of children. We are traveling with and 8 yr old and a 11yr old the month we cruise. My question is, will they be able to stay in the same group together? Are they strict on what age level hangs together? I would appreciate any information regarding the groups. They are curious if they will be split up or able to stay and enjoy the journey together.

We just want to clarify the ages of the kids... my hubby was anxious to make a connection but got the youngest ones age wrong.. She is 8 and the oldest one is turning 11 the month of the cruise. Mom and Dad, 2 kids and Grammy and Grandpa in two cabins. each cabin will have a kid listed. Sooooo looking forward to this cruise and meeting your family. First time my son in law has traveled with us. We want to make it a great journey.

Hi, Flyer06! You're almost at ten posts. Once you get there, be sure to PM me so I'll have your cabin numbers. You only have to gift once, but you are free to do what you would like. You can give a family gift per cabin or individual gifts. It's all up to you. The FE is meant to be fun and simple, so there are no difficult rules to follow. You'll just need to decide which group size will work for you.

Thank you for the info! I remember our last cruise also seeing different things hanging from the doors and wondering what it was all about. I have been looking up different ideas online for fish extenders and also the gifts. I'm so excited for this cruise!!!
