Magic 7 day April 26, 2015

On Formal Night, we like to get dressed up. I'll wear a tux and she'll wear a very nice dress. Well, when we're that dressed up, we really don't want to be in Animator's Palate for dinner. (It's a nice restaurant....but c'mon....this is Formal Night!)

Anyway, I called DCL and found out the dinner rotation that will put us in Lumiere's for Formal Night, Carioca's for Semi-formal Night, and Animator's Palate on Pirate Night. If anyone else is interested in this particular dinner rotation, it's Rotation #2:

Sunday: Animator's Palate
Monday: Carioca's
Tuesday (Formal Night): Lumiere's
Wednesday: Animator's Palate
Thursday (Pirate Night): Animator's Palate
Friday (Semi-formal Night): Carioca's
Saturday: Lumiere's

Now, you might notice that Animator's Palate is on back-to-back nights (Wednesday & Thursday). That's not a mistake. DCL told me that they are trying to change up things a little, so they're not always going with the 1-2-3...1-2-3...dinner rotation.

The nice thing for us is that, for the first night at Animator's Palate (Wednesday), we made reservations for dinner at Palo's. So, we'll get all, three restaurants twice.

Anyway, I wanted to pass along the information, in case it might be helpful to people trying to schedule things.

I was just thinking about this too. It's our first time cruising- how do we get on a specific dining rotation?

You can call DCL at 1-800-951-3532 and go through your options as far as dinner seating (1st or 2nd seating) and rotation. Otherwise, DCL will assign your seating and your rotation, which you'll discover on your Key to the World card when you check-in.

Not that we don't enjoy meeting other people, but we were able to request a table-for-two.

Good morning everyone! My best friend and I just booked, we are looking forward to sailing with you all! I understand there is a Mixology that has been created and, if it's not too late (or too full) we would like to join - Shannon Maloney and Danny Grove, 7623

Shannon, I will add you both to the list. We just started a last minute fish extender group as well if you are interested in that.

thanks Mari - I don't think we'll be taking part in an FE on this cruise but thanks for letting us know about the late group :-)

Are you from Colorado too? It would be neat if we could visit for a bit on or before the cruise. Things may be a bit hectic for us. We are traveling with both my parents & my DH's parents. I still would like to meet some of you if possible.

I want to know more about the recipe exchange. Sounds interesting. I'm soooooo excited!!!!

Yes I am from Colorado, however I am not the one going on the cruise my older sister is but its a complete surprise so i thought id make her a part of the FE group and get all the FEs for her and that way when she gets on she can exchange with everyone.

Good afternoon...

Great to see all the new people!! If there are any questions about Fish extenders... do a search here on DISboards... there is a wealth of info here!

I will post the meet and greet as soon as DCL gives me the time and place.

I have definitely had enough of winter... can't wait for the cruise

Hello! Myself, DH and our 2 DS's are on this cruise. It's our first Disney cruise. We would love to do the mixology class if there's room please. So Excited!

Good morning... I updated the FE list and information. I went with a March 1, 2015 cut off which is 8 weeks, so it should give plenty of time. I will limit each group to 15 cabins, but if you would like to be in more than one group, let me know.... Michelle, where in NH do you live? How are you liking these cool temps? I only like it because it puts me in baking and crock pot meal mode, lol
We just booked our cruise a few days ago and I'm just learning about fish extenders. It's our first cruise: myself, hubby and son Ryan (4.5yrs). Can we still get in a fish extenders group?

This is our second disney cruise. I am interested in being in a FE group. It will be myself, my husband and four year old son. Please let me know the details :)
Our room is Guaranteed so we don't have the official room number as of yet.
We would also be interested in the mixology class.
We just recently booked, it's our first cruise. Trying to get in the FE group, but not sure yet. Our son is 4.5. We'll be in stateroom 7119. We live in IL. Hope to meet you onboard!

How do we find out which dinner rotation we will be on?

Welcome everyone! It will be a wonderful cruise. Less than 7 weeks away now.

Anyone has any questions, ask away.

Hi everyone! Well I guess better late than never...We just booked yesterday and haven't even told the kids yet! Myself (Angel), DH Kevin, DD Kaitlyn(who will be celebrating her 14th birthday onboard), and DD Kambree age 10, we live in NC and are so excited to be going on our 2nd Disney Cruise!:earboy2: This is my 1st time using the disboard so I'm not sure where to begin......

when and how are you going to tell the kids?

I love the phone call. If you haven't used it before, you set up the call and the automated call comes. It will tell you to hear the message press #1. Before you press the button, that's when you get whoever is listen to come to the phone. The message starts pretty quick you select #1. Would be a cool video if you can catch the call while on speaker phone. The room needs to be quiet to pick up the Mickey or Goofy voice. Just tell the kid(s) they have a call on your cell phone.

Nice stuff!

Just wondering about what prior Disney Cruise Line returning cruisers received in their cabin as a gift. On our second cruise (2012) we were given a DCL backpack, some snack items and stickers. What did you get?
