EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I haven't really thought much about room requests for June. What do you recommend for standard RPC? What are the options?
Personally, we request no connecting door as our primary request. After that I request the area overlooking the the beach pool. Not really for the view but there are few standard rooms in that area and in general it is much more quiet than other areas. I don't like the hallway that the other standards are located on as everyone walks down that way to either the elevators or lounge if you are on that floor. The lounge is not far away from any of the rooms so I don't request that and frankly we like being away from the lounge as we find it noisy.

Our request are primarily for noise reduction. If you have another goal you may want other requests. I have a friend that requests the end of the hall closest to the TPV rooms for the view. Others do want to be on 4th floor with the lounge. HTH

Hi everyone! Did anyone have IPO attempting to get them a BOG lunch reservation this morning? I did, and haven't heard anything from them, nor has anything shown up in my MDE, so I'm just wondering if that means they didn't get it? It's my first time actually relinquishing control over my reservations so I'm a bit apprehensive. Thanks!! :)

Courtney

I called right at 9am this morning to see if they could get one for me because I couldn't get anything before then since trying at 6am. They said that it was all booked up by the time they came in at 5am this morning. They put me on the request list. BOG lunch ADRS started opening them up again around 2pm. So try to see if you can get one now. I've heard people on the restaurant boards saying that they are still able to get one now. I did get one myself when they rereleased them at 2pm and haven't heard anything from IPO about my request so I guess they aren't even checking anymore

So basically what your paying for between the outer bldg club level and main bldg club level is to have a larger club lounge in the main bldg.

Basically, yes you are paying for atmosphere and perhaps the ease of a shorter trip to the monorail. Room sizes unless you book a deluxe room or suite are the same. Many of the staff members work both club levels and the food offerings are the same. Again, we felt SL was very crowded and lacked the atmosphere that we appreciate in the main building.

We had requested one and got a confirmation email from IPO at lunchtime today with a reservation. I tried myself at 6am with no luck for over an hour. There are tons of ADR's available for our July dates right now. Check back!

thanks so much! That helps a lot :)

Hi Erika :wave2:

We didn't want BOG for lunch, we wanted it for dinner. This will be our first time there since it opened.

Wonderful! :) I hope you enjoy it. We always ask to sit in the West Wing. I think it's the best area. ::yes::

That's my favorite, too. I just now tried to get an ADR for lunch and had two times pop up for a party of five. The date I picked was August 18. There was also availability for the 19th.

What do you guys think? We are currently booked at BC standard room. I am traveling with my very energetic 4 year old and my mom. It will be our first onsite stay. My son still takes some naps and is more of a night owl while my mom gets up earlier. She was debating another room, but wanted the fun of all being together. So, I am thinking maybe club level would be a good compromise. Maybe if my son takes a nap, my mom would still have a place to go to read/watch tv/have some privacy. What do you think? Do people just hang out in the lounge? With the free alcohol does it get rowdy or do people more get stuff and leave? Thanks!

I think it's a great idea! :) BC CL has been tough to find lately, so if you see it available for your dates I would grab it quickly. Ever since they renovated the rooms and expanded the lounge it's been booking up like hot cakes! ;) Your reasoning is definitely right on, the lounge will give you a nice place to hang during down time, the snacks are great too. I've never seen anyone rowdy, sometimes a bit crowded during hot apps, but I haven't seen rowdy behavior. ENJOY IT! :D

I am so confused. If someone can help me, that would be so great.

In the FAQ at the beginning of the thread, it says "AKL's Club Level rooms are located on the 4th floor (ALL are Savanna View; near the lobby). The actual lounge and staff are located on the 6th floor which overlooks the impressive lobby."

So that says ALL are Savanna View. BUT I recently had to change my reservation from the first week of Nov to the second week of Nov and now I have a "Standard View-1 BR Suite-Clb Level Access".

Is my room NOT Savanna view because it's a suite?

All club level "rooms" are savannah view. I'm not sure about the suites. They might be scattered around.

This is a bummer! Argh. We might change locations then since no savanna views are available for club level for five people the week we'll be there. :(
It sounds like you have a current booking, so it might be worth a call to the IPO to get more information about the views from these rooms.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've sent them an email! :)

Glad I could help. One other tip, should you need it. I find that sometimes email with the IPO can be hit or miss. If you get a reply that leaves you with more Q's, you might call. In my experience, the IPO's tend to be sort of friendlier (and give more information) over the phone. Happy planning!! :flower:

I just turned in my ADR list to the IPO. (staying BC CL for the first time, first time in a deluxe resort) I have spend many many many hours planning and researching and rethinking my ADR list. After reading posts on here, I am now worried I will not get what I want and that I may be better off booking myself? This has been so stressful. I can't even thinking about making the fastpass selections. :(

If you are the type of person who likes to be in control (and it sounds like you are) then you probably will prefer to do your own ADRs. I wouldn't say there is a right or wrong answer when it comes to using IPO. Some people love turning it all over to someone else so they don't have to worry about it. Others stress out so much they're better off doing it themselves. If you feel you have time and you know how to book dining, I say go ahead and go for it! :)
