Lots of great restaurants on your list!

My husband is intrigued by the Fulton's crabcake. I think I'll look over at the menu and have a looksie.

Also, he was so stoked about the surf and turf burger at AofA. We are going to head over there to look around so we may do it around a meal time.

And lastly, DH was excited to see the sushi at Kona.

I'll be following along!

Wonderful Reviews! I can't wait to read more!

Kona is unfortunately a place we have had horrible/non-existant service several times and my husband has said he will NEVER eat there again.

Also unfortunately my husband is allergic to most seafood so his diet is quite the opposite of yours and places like Fultons and Narcoosee's just dont make it into our Dining Rotations.

Thank you. I had breakfast at Kona on my first trip in 2010 and the service was painfully slow, especially given the fact there were maybe only five other tables seated at the time. But the food has always been fantastic! Fulton's was pretty much all seafood, even the pasta dishes. Narcoosee's did have a lot of non seafood options though!

Joining in on this one! Great reviews!

Welcome! Thank you.

Joining in... Love the reviews so far!

Thanks for joining.

That crabcake at Fulton's was outstanding! We sampled several during the trip, and Fulton's was the best!

Following along, and loving it so far! Feeling very hungry...

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoying your reviews very much, following and looking forward to more!

Tony's was definitely one of the restaurants that I was most worried about for our trip. People always seem to be pretty polarized by Tony's, but we figured we would give it a try.

We arrived about twenty minutes early for our ADR and requested a table on the porch as the Main St. Electrical parade was about to start. I have never actually seen this parade in Disney World, although I was able to see it once at Disneyland years and years ago.

While we were waiting, a nice young man came up and asked us if we would like to try our hand at tossing a pizza, to which Megan kindly obliged.

After about a 25 minute wait it was finally our turn to be seated. They whisked us past the dessert cart, and much to my dismay, there was NO pistachio crème brulee, which was really the main reason for booking a reservation here. But, fear not, it remains on the dessert menu. Crisis averted, we were excited to get a PRIME table right at the edge of the porch and were seated about 5 minutes before the parade started.

Meghan was our server (we had sort of a theme of people named Megan and Jessica throughout our trip) and she was delightful and adorable. The poor thing had nearly lost her voice, but she was still pleasant and friendly and made some great recommendations.

I was very disappointed to find out that they have replaced the portabella mushroom ravioli with a squash ravioli. I had planned on ordering that, but really do not care for squash, so needed to make a last minute change up.

For appetizers, Megan ordered...

Pezzi Parmesan Bread - with a creamy alfredo and marinara dipping sauce (serves two) $7.49

The bread was really good, but the sauces were a bit lackluster. This was a large size portion for one person, however I don't think it truly is enough for two people, unless you were only looking for a little taste.

I was looking for something a little less filling, so I went with...

Caesar Salad - Romaine lettuce tossed in Caesar Dressing topped with Romano Cheese and Crostini $5.99

The dressing was good, but I actually felt the salad was a little under dressed. Admittedly, I do like a bit more dressing on my salad, but this did leave me wanting more.

Nothing really appealed to Megan from the menu, but Meaghan (it's getting confusing now!) was able to accommodate her request for spaghetti with marinara sauce.

Not pictured here was the MASSIVE plate of grated cheese Meghan brought out at other Megan's request.

I ordered the shrimp scampi.

Shrimp Scampi - Linguini with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Asparagus tossed in a Garlic sauce $19.99

I requested this with extra garlic, which Meaghan confirmed was a wise choice. I actually loved this. The sauce was light, buttery, with just a touch of acid from some lemon. The extra garlic definitely helped this dish along. It wasn't my favorite shrimp scampi of all time (I did live in New York City and had access to amazing Italian food) but it was definitely adequate.

For dessert, we were boring and both went with the same thing...

The pistachio crème brulee. It was AMAZING!! Thick, rich, creamy. It could have used a bit more pistachio flavor though. The candied pistachios in the edible sugar basket off to the side were also tasty and a nice touch.

Overall, we left very satisfied with both the food and our service. I was a little worried about missing Wishes, but we made it out on time without feeling like our meal was being rushed. I would definitely return to Tony's again, but I do wish they would bring back the mushroom ravioli!

It's good to see a nice review of Tony's, I like how they adapted the food to your tastes (we wouldn't even ask here in England!!) and how great you had a view of the parade as you ate :goodvibes

Tony's is a place I have avoided due to so many mixed reviews. Glad to hear you had a pretty decent experience.

I feel Disney chefs do a wonderful job at creating items not on the menu!!!

What time was your ADR? Were you able to eat and watch the electrical parade?

Great review of Tony's! I've always been curious about the parm bread-- that is so not what I thought it was. I am not a fan of Tony's tomato sauce but thought their alfredo was pretty decent.
Your shrimp scampi looks great! Glad it was mostly a good meal for you guys

Well I am all caught up !! I really like Tony's , I Love the shrimp scampi and my choice for dessert is always Tiramusu !! Haven't been in a while as trying other places too , but it is definitely a will do again at some point !!

Nice review of Tony's! It gets a lot of hate. We've only been there once but it was a pleasant enough experience. It didn't blow my socks off but I wouldn't say no to going back one day either. How was the marinara sauce? I've heard that's their real downfall.

I'm glad we had a good meal here. While it wasn't the best meal of our trip, what we ate was good and we would go back.

I have found over the years that it's best to just give it a try! We have had some terrific experiences at places that routinely get bad reviews (O'hana - yet to come in this report) and have had some really bad meals at places people rave about (Yachtsman - on my first trip)

Our ADR was about 30 minutes before the electrical parade started, and we checked in about 10 early. The parade started just as our appetizers were arriving.

Were you picturing big slices of Italian bread with melted cheese on the top? Because that is what we were expecting, but it was still good!

Saw your pix on Food Porn so am subbing

We would definitely go again too. I think given the options for dinner IN the Magic Kingdom, this was one of the better ones, at least for us.

I think I agree with your assessment completely. However, the pistachio creme brulee was wonderful. Everything else was "good enough" to go again. It sure beats having to monorail it over to one of the other resorts for dinner!

Nice review of Tonys with some good info. I enjoyed my lunch there I had back in 2012. I too was worried but was presently surprised!!

Great reviews, we have an ADR for Tony's in August.:)
looking forward to it.

I love your review thus far and last time went to futons I ordered your exact app, meal and desert!!! Love those lobster dogs :)

Great minds think alike!

I may be one of the few people that have consistently had pretty good experiences at Tony's but I have to admit that I keep going back for the pistachio crème brulee! Oh so good.

My DD has ordered the shrimp scampi the last couple of times that we have been there.

Sounds like the perfect spot to dine and watch MSEP. :thumbsup2
