Hi KSBelle77!!! This will be my first cruise, looks as though to be yours too. Wish it was sooner! So excited.
Yeah this will be my first cruise! I am graduating law school that May and the Kansas Bar Exam is the last weekend in July. On my honeymoon, my husband made the deal that when I graduate law school I could get a pink Prada purse. Well, the cruise is about the same price so here we are!! I am so excited!!!
Your going to Love cruising!! Once you do it once, your hooked.
As for planning, start glancing at excursions and read trip reports. It's really the best way to get ideas and recommendations from others.
The last time we did this itinerary, we did it all on our own and it was the best! Disney excursions are good but we find there are better ones out there. Trip Advisor is a very good resource as well as the the book PassPorter's Field Guide.
Hi all, this will be our second cruise. Just got off the wonder 4 night and booked this while on board. I've sent a fb request as well as my mother. Looking forward to another FE.
On our 4 night there weren't any character dining experiences. But I think I read that there may be one or two on 7 nights. Would have to depend on answers from others with 7 or more night experiences. For those of you that have been on the Disney Cruise before, is there a Character Dining at all on the ship? Besides the FE and the Door Decorating, any other advice for onboard??

Now as for other advice....much like the parks DON'T try to do it all. If you do you will be like me where hey a cruise is relaxing but I wasn't at all relaxed. Well maybe when I allowed myself an adult beverage ;-)
Yea, I was a bit confused reading the information on if one of the dining rooms was a character or not.
I am that type of person who tries to do it all every time i go to the parks. Since we will have 6 kids with us, I am going to try not to be like that because I know the kids can't keep up with me. lol. Is there a lot on the ship to do, I mean will i feel as though I am missing something?
I have only been on 1 other cruise, and I remember walking around the ship at the end of the cruise and being like "I didn't even know this room, or area of the ship existed". I remember feeling as though I missed out on something.
Usually on the 7 night cruises they have a character breakfast...so, if it goes as it normally does you will be assigned one morning to have your character breakfast in one of the dining rooms. This is the time the characters go around to each table during the meal for photo ops...definitely one not to miss.
Also, each evening of the cruise your steward will provide you in your room a "navigator" for the following day. On this navigator will be the next days events going on around the ship. This gives you the opportunity then to pick and choose what you want to do and what not to miss. It is very well done and gives you times and locations. We have brought highlighters in the past to differentiate who wants to do what the next day so we don't forget. It gets so exciting and yet so relaxing that often you forget what you thought you might do the next day. This is especially true for sea days!
