Free Dining for October 2014

Does anyone know when/if they will release pin codes for free dining for October 2014? I called yesterday and had a pin code for free dining now through March and discounted rooms rates for September but that's it. We are going in October for our 15th anniversary and we have never gone during a time where we were able to take advantage of free dining. Really hoping we can this year. *fingers crossed*

We have had free dining the last two years in October. Last year the free dining for October discounts were not out until the end of July. Both the years the week of Columbus day and right before Halloween were excluded. I am not sure on the exact dates that were excluded but there were quite a few.

If OP is asking specifically about a PIN code, then I don't think anybody tracks PIN codes, because their distribution is so arbitrary.

If you want to know about past general public offiers, those do get tracked on www.mousesavers.com (search "free dining" and you will get a link to historical discounts including free dining. They don't include blackout dates, but they will let you know when a general public offer was released.

In 2013 the check-in dates for the offer were:

September 29 – October 2, 2013
October 18 – November 2, 2013
November 11 – 23, 2013
December 12 – 22, 2013

So you could check in for the offer on October 1 or 2, or anywhere between October 18 and November 2, and be eligible for the offer. If you checked in October 3-17, no go.

We are looking to check in either October 11th or October 18th. So hoping they come out with the free dining for that time frame. I guess we will just have to keep an eye out and see what comes up

You can probably count out the 11th for a public offer, as that is Columbus Day weekend.

we are going to WDW for the Disney Run weekend on the first weekend of October and are hoping for the free dining! Lets keep our fingers crossed!!

My sister was just there this past Halloween, she loved it. Said it was one of her best times there (she has been there a million times but never for Halloween before). She didn't complain about anything being too crowded

Halloween seems to have no appreciable impact on the parks outside of the Halloween party at MK, which always sells out on Halloween night.

I have heard that it may not happen again for this year as it does normally come out in jan again it did it 2012 for October 2012 when we last went hopefully it does for you

the dates for the Fall FD Pins for October 2013 were pretty close to the GP dates posted above.

The first batch of FD Pins went out last year on May 9th and then in numerous waves into July; e-mail and snail mail.

Fall FD to the General Public last year was released August 1st.

If you check in on a day it's being offered it would be good for your whole stay.

If I get an e-mail at all it's late afternoon/early evening.

Best place to find out about FD GP or DVisa dates is the discount section of the Resorts Board here on the DIS. People will start posting right after 7AM if they call in and get a CM that says FD is a go.
