I am very sorry I have not had time to welcome everyone to our meet thread, but Tom has been granted a three week spa treatment in the Austrian Alps and I went to visit him every weekend (he's coming home on Thursday again).

Here are a few impressions .......

Hi! We just booked. Fifth cruise and this one marks having been on all four ships. Coming from Pittsburgh, PA is myself, my husband, and our little girl (she will be 4 when we cruise). Can't wait!

My husband and two daughters are all from London, Ontario (Canada). We may shift to fall date once released, but I am leaning toward keeping this booking because we won't have to take the kids out of school.

My youngest won't be 11 until November and she really wants to go to Edge (she didn't enjoy Oceaneers at all on our last cruise). This would really be the only reason we would push it forward. Has anyone had experience with their kids being allowed into edge a couple of months before they turn 11?

We are booked! Will be myself, DH, and DD, 11 at time of sailing. Cruising with friends who also have a DD11 (at cruise time). This is our 4th Disney cruise, 2nd time on Fantasy.

I just booked too! My husband, myself, and our two (almost) kiddos. My son will be 4 and other child, who is yet to be born will be one. lol I AM EXCITED! I can't stand waiting this long, but I don't have much choice right now. haha I can't wait to get to know y'all! This is our 4th cruise and first time on the Fantasy.

Yeah! Now you will be part of my next trip report.

We have booked this cruise for 4/5 of our group - myself along with DW, DD(17) and DS(4).

We actually were planning a later fall cruise with just the youngest but they just releasing through August, the last week of the month seeing the drop in fall pricing and it allowing the DD to come along (not missing an important week of the her year of HS) made the decision to select this week easy. We sailed this week on the Dream in 2011 with family friends that will as well be sailing this week with us again.

Count us in for any FE set-up.

I think you picked a great cruise! Have we been on the same cruise on the Dream in 2011? We sailed from August 28 - Sept 1 as the last leg of our back to back to back. Would be fun if we had been on the same cruise.

We were just watching some youtube videos of The Fantasy and I am so excited!! 519 days And, I feel like I'm going to need every one of those to get ready and feel prepared

Count us in too. I'm hoping this will be a family cruise that was planned 2 years ago. Was just waiting for dates to come out. So far it's DH and myself. DD, her DH and my grandson. He did his 1st Disney Cruise and 12 weeks and he'll be 22 months young at the time of.sailing.

I really like that you start your DGSs cruise training so early! You can never be too young for some Disney fun.

We are on this cruise as well. Did the the 8/10-8/17 eastern last year. 3rd cruise for us. DH, DW, DD 22 and DS 16. Got a 4E again as we love the verandas.

We will be in 10626 - have been in that one before.

I'll have to come see you and check out your gorgeous room. I'm in the VERY back of the ship (with the large verandah). Hope you FE folks don't get discouraged looking for me.

Our stateroom is towards aft too. Very close to the aft stairwell, so we will definitely not get discouraged looking for you.

We booked this cruise the 1st day of release... I really wanted to sail in May but the price of this one couldn't be beat and DH gets to save a day of vacation! So as of right now it will be myself, DH, DS (6.5) and DD (4), we are booked in an Inside room on deck 7 but considering doing a surprise upgrade for my hubby, crossing my fingers some of the holds that were placed this last week might fall through and I can grab one!

Even though it's really far away, I am sure time will fly and it will be here before we know it!

This will be MY 6th Disney Cruise (1st on the Fantasy, just toured it in Dec 2012) 3 times on the Magic and 2 times on the Wonder. Of those, three were in the last 6 months so it's going to be hard to wait this long!

You are going to love the Fantasy - she is such a beautiful ship. We have been on the Dream many a times, but the Fantasy even tops her. (Could be that the cruises are longer and I relax more. )

Booked!! We booked our cabin last night and looks like we're officially going to be on the Fantasy next year! This is our 3rd cruise, both of the other 2 were 4 nights one the Dream in May. Last time we joined the FE and had a ball. It made things a lot easier. Needless to say, We're all looking forward to seeing you all on board!

Karin I hope Tom feels better after his treatments. Will he have to go back to work right away or will he get a little extra time off? The pics were nice. I think that bridge would terrify me!

Tom feels a lot better, Teresa. He has his last treatments tomorrow, then will take the train home on Thursday. He needs to see our regular physician on Friday, but he will need to get back to work next Monday. He is NOT looking forward to it, as nothing will have changed there and he fears that all the effort put into his feeling well will be deminished very soon.
I'll keep my fingers crossed he keeps the good mood he's in at the moment for some time to come.

As for the bridge - we had to go up in a little cable car to the top of the mountain. The bridge itself looks awesome up there, but terrifying as there is NO "real bottom" - you can see through it. I am afraid of heights, but we did cross it. I looked straight ahead - and the view was out of this world.
