Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

This is the very simple band I used on my last trip (the colors are royal blue and chrome, I know the image quality's not that great). The polish cracked all around the rest of the band when I kept taking it on and off (I didn't use clear coat, dunno if that would've helped), so I'd just recommend not taking it on and off if possible.

It was fun, though! I got a few compliments and painting the Mickey a different color than the rest definitely helped me align the band at night.

That's a good point about the Mickey head. Maybe I'll paint just the Mickey with glow in the dark polish so it'll be easier at night!

Here are my sliders that I put together with jibbitz. I took the backs of the jibbitz off and super glued them to a plastic strap keeper.

I really like these!! It's great bc you can make ones to go with themes for each day if you wanted!

Where did you find the plastic strap holders? Have you confirmed with anyone that they will actually fit over the MB's?

Question for anyone who has put rhinestones on their MB, are you securing the rhinestones with any type of special glue? Does superglue work or something like E6000?

Not sure if I want to decorate my band or not, but I've got mine from last year I might play around with before our new ones arrive.

I ordered some off of either Etsy or Ebay. I can't remember which now. They were on both sites. I got the ones that were 1 inch wide. They came in a package of 20.

I have no idea if they fit or not. Just went by what people on these boards have said. I was told that the bands are 1" wide at it's widest. The keepers have a bit of depth to them, so I'm hopping they will have a snug fit. For what it's worth, they fit on a 1" watch band just fine.

What would the best way be to draw a design on to my MB so that I can do the nail polish over it?? I was thinking of hand drawing on in just a regular pen because I know the sharpies bleed with nail polish.
Any thoughts??

I traced my band to make a template and drew out the design first. Then I just used a pencil to draw a faint outline of my design on to the band. It was just enough to give me an idea of what I wanted.

I used regular superglue on ours and the rhinestones stayed on perfectly. I also glued them on over several layers of nail polish and it didn't affect them. We got a LOT of compliments on ours. I made mickey heads and flowers on ours.

Yes used temp tattoos. They look and work well. These are our second set of MB we love the way they look.

Where did you get the tattoos?
How exactly did you put them on the band. Was it while the clear coat was still wet or did you let it dry and then put them on?

Added clear base coat waited for it to dry n then added the temp tattoo n the directions in how to apply them then after they were dry I added the base coat again to seal in the temp tattoo. Just added a second coat to make it look nice and shiny. The only reason I use clear base coat is due to the top coat cracks a bit after it's fully dry when the band is bent. U can find temp tattoos on eBay, any party supply store n Amazon.

ok i have this weird thought... i personally have never used the gel polish before but the word gel to me sounds like it would be more flexable and harden harder?:rotfl2: that sounds weird. Ok anyways do you think the gel top coat would crack like the regular top coat does?
