Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Did all your coats go over the Mickey head sensor? I'm so excited to try something fun, but I'm afraid I'll "mess it up" and it's not like I can call Disney and ask for a new one because I painted mine with nail polish and made it look ugly! :rotfl:

Then you buy a cover! lol

Actually it comes off rather easily using nail polish remover. I took mine off 2 times before I was happy. It is also addicting though, I keep wanting to add lol I decided to outline Mickey's head

We had 4-5 coats over the Mickey head sensor and it worked great!

VERY cute! I also got the pink band. I'm glad to see yours because it looks a little more "Barbie" pink than the online picture which makes it look sort of magenta. I like the color of yours much better than the online picture :thumbsup2

Barbie pink is a good way to describe it!

:rotfl: I wish people were posting pictures of the covers being sold at WDW. I'd love to see some! Glad to know nail polish remover works! How did you do the sides? A nail polish pen? I can't see how a brush would make that neat of a line!

Good to know :thumbsup2 Thanks!

Thanks ;) I started using that term when we had our Disney wedding and our colors were pink and green. I didn't want a pastel/baby pink color, so I started calling it Barbie pink and people knew what I meant :goodvibes

Which sides? The gray edges I did every carefully with a regular nail polish brush. The lines between the colors I did with a nail art pen. Have to be careful with that one though because if its put directly onto a band it will leave a slight stain. The mickey head outline I did with a fine point sharpie.

Also, if you truly didn't like yours and didn't want to pay for a cover or Band-Its, you can get a new band from the front desk. It will most likely be gray, but I did hear others were able to choose. Just tell them you forgot/lost your original one. Disney just has to reassign all your info to the new band. You could even decorate the gray band in your room with a sharpie! So there are options. But I say, go for it! This is actually one of the easiest Disney craft projects.

Has anyone tried painting on their MBs yet? With (I guess) plastic friendly weather proof paint? I really want to paint some characters on my MB, but I'm worried it won't work. :/

Omg all these ideas are so cool! I am definitely trying them on our bands when we get them. :cool1:

We got our Magic Bands today and blinged them out and are so excited to wear them in 24 days!!!

We used the nail polishes in the above pictures. The jeweled stripes are Kiss Nail Artist Stickers that I cut into strips. We are very happy with our bands and are so excited to wear them. We both have small wrists, so we were able to remove the outer grey band.

For those of you who used glow in the dark nail polish, did you use clear? I've searched online and all I can seem to find are colored glow in the dark polishes. I sort of wanted mine to be clear, more like a top coat.

I got mine from Justice for Girls this week. It was marked $6.50 but rang up as less than a dollar. It's kind of creamy white looking with some sparkle, but dries clear with sparkle.

That's the exact one we used. For the boys, we had a light green glow in the dark that we put on a green band.
