I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

Awww, Joaquin can look normal and cute!

And then not....

They were slightly hesitant with Donaldo at first. I think it was his bill.

They were ALL about Duffy being in the picture.

Here's the story with Duffy. Gavin wanted the Duffy. But you know how kids are. Joaquin got to see what Gavin had and was doing with Duffy and then he started wanting one. He didn't get a Duffy, because we wanted him to pick something for himself, and his pick will appear later. But he literally kept trying to glom on to having Duffy in pictures, and Gavin wasn't having it. *sigh* Kid problems.

I had to get in on the picture because Donald is my FAVE! Duh!

See Joaquin all up on the little Duffy?

The one thing about the area is the lighting is just strange. All of the pictures you take with your normal phone turn out funky. Like this.

The meet and greet went well, the boys had fun. And Dad had some fun in the dump shop.

See Kathy, I told you I had almost the same picture! Baby Dumbo is just so absolutely adorable.

Up next: I've never been so small before!

Danielle, such a fun update. First, you go to Mark's longtime favorite, Dumbo, and you get silly pictures of the boys, Yeti drives, you see Goofy and Donald and your Dad is holding Baby Dumbo. It doesn't get much better than that!

It really doesn't get any better than that! I wish that my life was like that every day!!!!

I have yet to have gone inside Dumbo's play area but I'm pretty sure the kids will love it. Great update!

The way the Yeti has positioned himself over the controls of Dumbo - just looks painful. :lmao:

And those cobras that Donald has in his meet and greet area are pretty elaborate! They kind of remind me of Jafar's staff. You know, the one he uses to hypnotize the Sultan? ;)

The play area is a lot of fun. I would be lying if I said I didn't think about going in there myself. :rolleyes1

Hahahaha, it was painful! Trying to get him positioned just right.

They do look like Jafar's staff, don't they? Make me think of Ka from the Jungle Book too. "Trust in me....."

I'm loving your trip report, your family seems like a hoot!

Also loving the idea of Disney inspired makeup yours looks great. I know that my attempts would turn out looking like a sad clown that has been sweating out in the Mojave desert for a year. Sooooo if on your trip down in January you see a crazy lady running toward you with a handfull of eye makeup sceaming "I want Goofy eyes!" Please do not run the other way!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

We try to keep it silly all the time. :rotfl:

OMG, you had me cracking up at the sad clown sweating out in the Mojave desert for a year.

I could definitely make Goofy eyes. And I would certainly try my best not to run away.

Thank GOODNESS Gavin survived Dumbo! :rotfl2: What would you have done without him? :rotfl2:

Adorable pictures of the boys. And that picture of your dad - Yup - it does bear some resemblance to the mark in katmark.

And Yeti - good Lord. When will that creature ever learn to play it safe? :rotfl2:

Dumbotown! Love that ride and the whole new area. Poor Gavin and his anxiety over the rides! Glad he survived Dumbo!
Love the pics of the boys (and you!) with Goofy and Donald. So cute!

I know, right?! I'm so glad that he made it through that amazingly dangerous ride!

Yeti won't ever learn to play it safe I think....

I love that whole area too. I'm glad they did some justice to the whole Dumbo theming.

Gaving is so anxious, it almost became comical. And we jut go "whatever, you're going".

YEAH Party time 35 days and we are back at Wally World :cool1::cool1:pixiedust:pixiedust::drive::drive:

I know!

OMG I love the red hair Danielle. And the blue hair. Well, ya know... love.

Ah man I totally planned to ride Dumbo too! I guess I got sidetracked. That happens a lot sadly. :(

Love all the Dumbo pics! I have to admit that I am scared of Dumbo too. :rotfl2: I ride it, but I don't like it - my driver LOVES that I don't like it, so we spend the whole ride very high. :rolleyes

Love the Goofy and Donald pics - that is such a great meet-and-greet. (But you're right about the lighting - they seem to be doing that in a lot of these meet-and-greet areas; forces PP purchase maybe? :confused3)

Have been reading along and have had a lot of fun with your fun family.

Joaquin reminds me a lot of my DS! My DS makes faces at the camera EVERY TIME. LOL

enjoying the report. Waiting patiently (mostly) for the next one! :-)

Thanks Rob! Welcome back by the way.

Hahaha, my hair did look blue in that picture, but I assure you, it was just the lighting.

I get sidetracked a lot on trips to Disney too. I plan on doing things and then they never come to fruition.

It's okay that you don't like Dumbo. Being scared of heights is one thing. Being scared of everything like Gavin....that's a different story. :rotfl:

I'm glad that you're having fun on our trip!

Joaquin just can't keep a straight face ever. It's pretty funny, but at the same time it's difficult when we want him to be serious. Because being serious just isn't in his DNA.

Dumbotown was voted a great success, so we moved on to New Fantasyland. Jeni and I had made an executive decision that no matter what the whiny boys wanted to say, we were going to meet Ariel. No questions asked.

So off to Ariel's Grotto we went. The wait time was actually only posted at 10 minutes, which was crazy for the time of day it already was. But I'm not going to complain at all.

I really love this stock photo from the PP CD. And let me just say, I wish I could take pictures that look like that. But I'm also not willing to do the work. :lmao: Don't judge me!

This whole series of pictures just absolutely cracks me up, because the boys are HORRIFIED to see Ariel it seems.

Oh wait, that's the wrong picture.

Joaquin is legitimately backing away, like he's going to fall off the seat.

He warmed up a little, but dude is still toeing the edge of that seat.

And now you can see that Joaquin is in love.

At that point, we were like "okay boys, get out of there it's our turn!"

In this picture, Ariel was shocked that I was wearing Ariel earrings. So her response to me was "I've never been so small before!"

Could this PP photog actually attempt to get a picture of me with my eyes open? Seriously, I look like a complete goober!

Jeni was legitimately geeking out.

We liked her very much. She was a great character interaction and super sweet.

After that, we decided it was time to go on Ariel's ride! Because we had not yet traumatized the boys enough with girlie things! Again, we are amazing parents and adults.

We get in line and the litany of questions from Gavin start to arrive.

"Is it dark?"
"Is it scary?"
"Am I going to die?"

My answer to all of those.

YES!

Hahahahahaha. No not really, I just told him to suck it up buttercup!

Awwww, Scuttle! I have a very old Scuttle doll somewhere from way way back in the day.

Yeti was just hanging around in the queue. Like a boss.

So Duffy decided he wanted to be like a boss too. He has a little ways to go to obtain amazing status like Yeti has, but if he works hard, he'll get there.

This is my absolute favorite effect on the ride. I love the bubbles when you go under the sea. They make me so happy!

Gavin was my riding partner this time. He survived again, just like he survived on Dumbo.

Maybe I should do a crazy Ursula makeup look? I think I would end up looking like Mimi though.

But we know it all ends up happily ever after.

Continued in next post:

At that point, we had the very complex conversation centered around what to eat for lunch.

We had a very early dinner ADR (5pm) this day, and we didn't want to eat something too filling. At the same time, it was hot as heck, so we wanted to go back to the resort for a little while to swim and cool down. The decision was made to head back to the resort and eat lunch there. You know, a little sammich or something. You can't go wrong with a sammich y'all.

We made it back to the resort around 1:30ish and made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It was the perfect decision for us all and hit the spot without overfilling anyone.

We gave the boys 1/2 sandwich each, so they had enough room for our dinner.

Then it was time to head to the pool! Which you guys now know means stupid pictures from the Voss' family.

I am officially obsessed with my waterproof camera. And my next day will include overuse, because that is our resort / pool / relaxation day.

This next series of pictures just cracks me up for some reason.

Popadon spots Joaquin.

Dives under the water for Joaquin.

And then somehow ends up by Ommi....

We are absolutely not against dunking kids underwater.

The time at the pool was a great way to cool down on such a hot day. For us, it helps to refresh the kids and keeps from them turning into complete and utter jackwagons later on in the day. It's not always 100% effective, but I tell you, it helps.

So we had a 4:55pm reservation to make. However, Popadon really wanted to go to main Lost and Found at the TTC. So we took the car and headed over. We had plenty of time. Or so we thought.

We got there, found pretty decent parking and walked to Lost and Found.

It took forever in Lost and Found. They had one person working there and there was one person in front of us. I'm not exaggerating, it took the CM like 15 minutes with the one guest. So finally we were there. And it took him like 15 minutes with us!

Thankfully, they found Dad's prescription glasses lost at Typhoon Lagoon! Yayayayayayayay!! They actually found my cheapies too. Jason on the other hand was out of luck. They never found his sunglasses.

We ran our butts to the monorail and thankfully one came on time.

We made it to the station at 4:50pm. Our dinner was at 4:55pm. Would we make it in time to this very important reservation?

^^^That was me btw.

Up next: We're not gonna make it, we're not gonna make it!

Oooh that PP photo is lovely.

Aww, look at Joaquin looking at Ariel! So adorable.

:lmao: at Gavin. "Am I going to die?" You won't as long as you stay away from Eric's pointy ship. I just made a very unfortunate typo while typing that sentence. Whoops.

What waterproof camera did you use? Those pictures came out great! We had a waterproof camera at Discovery Cove and Aquatica but the pictures didn't come out well at all.

YAY for Popadon's and your sunglasses being found!

Ahhh the suspense! I hope you guys make your reservation!

Cant say as I blame Joaquin for sitting on the edge Ariel looks like she's about to backhand Gavin!

OMG Mimis makeup does match Ursula! Never noticed that.

That Yeti is one drunken crazy risk taker, never know what he's going to do next!

I absolutely loved that picture when the PP CD came. It's so beautiful.

He warmed up to her eventually. He's really a flirt, so I was surprised he wasn't being super flirty from the start.

:lmao: at Gavin. "Am I going to die?" You won't as long as you stay away from Eric's pointy ship. I just made a very unfortunate typo while typing that sentence. Whoops.

Hahahahah. I typo by mistake all the time and then laugh like a five year old at what comes out. :lmao:

I believe I bought a Nikon AW100. I can't remember exactly which one it was, I just remember that it's orange. I decided to actually buy a digital waterproof, because I've had bad luck with disposables before.

YAY for Popadon's and your sunglasses being found!

Ahhh the suspense! I hope you guys make your reservation!

I had to leave a little bit of suspense.

Cant say as I blame Joaquin for sitting on the edge Ariel looks like she's about to backhand Gavin!

Hahahaha, it did look like she was going to backhand Gavin, didn't it?

Mimi is exactly who I always think of when I see Ursula.
