OMG D!
I just checked out your weight loss progress photo and Darling you are BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Keep up the great work friend!
Thank you Tasha! It has been a lot of work - but this time certainly feels different for me - there have been so many changes that I have really enjoyed, I am happy that my body is finally cooperating with them.
The healthy lifestyle (notice I didn't say diet) update photo is great. You can really see the change in your face in that picture. GREAT JOB. I can see your statement about wearing flip flops all year is accurate. I figured it would be too cold in MN for your toes to be exposed but I guess not. Looking forward to the next photo session with Alli.
Hahaha... YOu never miss anything Liz - I love that about you. Yes, I do wear my flip flops all year long - but very shortly here - I will only be able to wear them in the house - and out to get the mail.
Thank you for the compliments... Yah - I see it a lot in my face too - especially in my chin/neck area - however - I don't think you can see that part in my photo because my phone is in the way. I hope to have another photo shoot with Alli too - it's not very pretty out right now though.
Sounds like you had a successful shopping and cleaning weekend. It must be nice to have a clean closet again and I'm sure your neighbors loved you.
Yah - it's nice to have the office clean again... However - there are still remnants of our cleaning in other places of the house - I cannot wait to get it all done!
Phew, all that redrafting was totally worth it. That bag is absolutely perfect for a camera bag. Love the zipper to keep everything inside and the back pocket with the zipper will be great for easy access to all the necessities. The fabric is great and totally fits the theme. BUT the applique of Pocahontas is out of this world, honestly it looks like a photograph. And then the little leaf.....a perfect addition. Sorry, but I will not thumbnail these pictures.
I hope this bag makes it to AK to see Pocahontas. She is going to flip!
Thank you! This was such a fun bag to make - and I was so happy to be able to meld both patterns together to make it work so nicely. I also hope it makes it to AK to see Pocahontas - we had such a great interaction with her this summer.
I saw that coupon I have a pea pod order coming today but will be going to Target this week too. I also have coupons for baby food which is not part of the sale but is discounted.
Yah- bff and I are meeting up on Friday morning and we are planning to hit a few Targets in the Metro. LOL It should be a fun day!
Howdy!
Wow what a weekend! I have got to tell you.. I am in LOVE with the design of the Pocahontas bag!!!!
the colors are amazing too. But i am a fall person!
Glad Alli is feeling better and GREAT job on cleaning the closet! wanna come by? my entire basement has turned into an abyss. I don't go down there for ANYTHING. Too bad you haven't talked about your ADR's yet... I haven't talked to jen and family about ANYTHING yet. killing me.
Thanks Mo! I really love how the bag turned out too! It is one of my all time favorites - it's just a great design. I have plans for a few of them for our trip.
Hahaha... Our basement is the same way - but that's Josh's territory.
The Pocahontas bag is beautiful! I may have to think about a larger sized bag someday for when I go in hot weather. A little bit bigger of a bag would allow me to fit a water bottle. Of course since I already have a few of your bags I wouldn't want to take a spot until most other people have one. With the way your orders go, that could be years! I do think I have my next bag all planned out though, had a dream about it a few weeks ago.
Thanks Ariana! I just love how it turned out too! It's really a great bag - and a great size. I love my UPBs - but they are just too small for me to carry in the summer with the Frog Toggs in there. I am very interested to hear what bag you are planning next...
I had a similar weekend to you. I cleaned out my "Christmas" closet. It's one of those under the steps closets that you have to bend in half to get into so I'd been putting it off. I had so much junk in there that I didn't use anymore that we filled up the entire back seat and hatch of my Equinox with stuff for goodwill. My back is not happy with me today though after all the bending!
Oh no! I hope your back is feeling better now? I cannot half bend over like that - it is very painful the next day - hence the reason I don't garden. Good job getting rid of a lot of stuff for donation though.
I loved seeing the progress pictures of your weight loss. I really need to get back into working out, I've let it slide pretty badly the last couple of months and I'm going to start paying for it soon.
Thank you... It has been a very slow process for me, but that is good. I hope. LOL I hope you are able to get back to it soon.
I'll have to keep an eye out for that Target coupon since Mom is coming here for Thanksgiving and Jim will be cooking a little bit bigger of a meal this year.
It's in their weekly ad. If you don't have one- you can ask for a copy at Guest Service in whatever store you go to.
You are lookin' good D~!
I cleaned out my pantry closet on Saturday. The boy scouts were having a food drive so I loaded up about 3 grocery bags for them and then got rid of all the out-of-date stuff that had been cluttering up the closet. Shelves are nearly empty now, but at least I can find what is in there. Between the closet and the freezer I filled 3 garbage bags.
Thanks Tess!
WTG cleaning out your pantry! That is a lot of food. Are you donating all of it? I need to organize my cupboards in a bad way - I should really do that this week before I go grocery shopping again - my one food cupboard, I can barely close. YIKES!
Charlie is out of town this week, so I'm determined to get moving on my "healthy lifestyle" while he is gone. Got up early and walked on the treadmill first thing. Now I feel like I've been up for hours. I did get more accomplished this morning before work. I managed to clean our master bathroom, and do a load of laundry.
Yay! I find it's easier for me to be focused on my healthy self when Josh is not here too. He is home all this week - and he likes to comment on my routines - drives me crazy! I love the man, but geesh! He likes to give me crap that I am just lazy here all day - which is so not true - does he think these bags make themselves? LOL Hopefully - while he is home this week - he will see that I work a pretty intense day everyday.
I stated quilting Kate's quilt over the weekend. Since I'm using the older machines - the 1926 I've named Pauline, after my grandmother - I decided to do it as a quilt-as-you-go, meaning each block is quilted and then joined to the next block. I have six blocks finished and I ran out of quilting thread, so I need to head to Joann's after work to pick up more. I love the way it is turning out.
Can't wait to see your new auction bag, but unfortunately, I won't be able to bid on it this time.
I am very excited to see your quilt, and especially when it's done. The process sounds very interesting.
I just checked out your weight loss photos. Congrats on all the progress you made. I doesn't think I'd like excerizing in front of a big window either.
I saw the Target ad this week. Sadly, I don't think I'll make it over there. I'm working 12-9 most of the week. Target is actually about a mile down the road from where I work.
Your new bag is beautiful. I'm glad you were able to get the office cleaned out?
LIz
Thanks Liz... It wasn't too bad yesterday - I have panels on the window - so you can see in a little bit, but it's harder during the day.
Your week sounds crazy! I hope it goes by quickly!
You are lookin good! It's so fun to buy smaller clothes!
Thanks Ruth! Yah - it's fun to buy them, but I am trying so hard not to. LOL I'd like to wait until I get to a spot that I am happy with my size.
The new photo update is just simply incredible! I have already shared with you what an inspiration you are in your healthy lifestyle. You have truly inspired me, and I enjoy chatting with you on a semi-regular basis now for encouragement on my own journey. I am so grateful for you and for our friendship, D~!
Thanks Oopsi! I am so grateful for your friendship as well!!! It has been fun chatting lately.
Let's continue cheering eachother on!
WTG on getting that closet cleaned out! While our closets are in pretty good shape, we have an attic that may not be in such good shape.
Hahaha... I think we all have
something that needs work.
Thanks!! You seem to be doing a great job yourself!! Congrats!! The real test is going to be next week!! We're going to my parent's for Thanksgiving and oh boy this is going to be hard but I'm not going to beat myself up for it if my numbers are off.
hehe!! I'm sure you'll be semi happy with our change!!
Great job getting all that done!! I still need to finish some of our organizing but we had a very busy weekend and I just haven't felt up to it. When I get the energy I do it, when I don't well I don't.
Thanks Sandra! I am sure, if you research ahead of time, you'll be able to find the best Thanksgiving foods for you - and maybe you can choose more of those?
I can't wait to read about your change! I looked for it this morning - but I didn't see? Was it POR?
I hope you are able to find the energy you need to get everything done.
Just a quick mid day drive by... V is doing a school project and her theme is the opening of walt disney world. If any of you we're alive during that time and remember that event, would you mind being interviewed by v? She would really appreciate it, we need one more person.
D~
Please read the above! Thanks!
I was alive when WDW opened in 1971 - that's the year I graduated from high school. I don't really remember too much about it, but I'd be happy to help if I can.
Thank you Tess... We may need to call on you. Ideally, she would need someone who remembers it pretty well - I will let you know.
Just a quick fly by. I think everyone at my office has gone totally nuts and I have no idea how I'm going to get it all done by the time we leave in two weeks (and there are only 3 days next week because of the Thanksgiving holiday).
I love the Pocahontas bag...it's truly great.
Good luck to V on her project.
Hi Kathy! Thank you - I totally understand... I know things are crazy for you right now - I appreicate that you stopped by.

Nothing exciting to report today...
I worked all day in my sewing room yesterday. I was able to finish quilting my auction bag and I was also able to start/finish the applique for it. I am SUPER HAPPY with how it turned out - it's adorable! I hope to finish the bag today and work a little on the wallet - with any luck I will finish that.
Then I need to start on my custom order for the week. I usually start those on Monday - but my auction weeks always throw me off a little. If I can, at least, get it cut out today - I would be thrilled!
I also NEED to finish one of my SSPs this week. I think it's already beyond it's deadline?
Alli is feeling better - she is back to all activities. She seems to have a cold now that it hanging on, but nothing she can't deal with.
I had my last Zumba class last night - I still haven't decided if I am signing up for the next round. It's only 4 classes, but it brings me through mid-January. It's been fun working out with my Target buddies, and I hate to miss out. Hopefully I can decide soon?
I hope you all have a fantastic day today. Prayers going out to all in need.
D~
