I plan on talking to my mom again and seeing exactly what they are planning on having so I can adjust whatever I need to for the day and ask her to get things I know I can eat that won't mess me up too bad.

Yes the change was POR!! I know you guys love FQ and I'd love to try there but a family of 5/6 is too big for that resort. We are excited to try it and just being able to go is going to make it fun.

    Glad Allie is feeling better.

Can't figure out what your auction bag is and can't wait to see it!!

If you enjoy the Zumba so much maybe you can go ahead and do it since it's only 4 weeks. It's also just one day a week correct? I know you don't like driving at night but only you can decide if you can get through it or not.

This is awesome! And I believe it's exactly what she is looking for! I will PM you to see if there is a time she can call you - I am thinking tomorrow night will work out best for us?

Thanks Liz! I love that you remember Walt talking about the Florida project - that is cool! I think that V is going to end up using LadyBeBop above - just because she needs someone who was there with in the first few years of it opening. I really appreicate your offer though.

Hopefully the computer glitch is done with and you can go back to a normal schedule.

    No worries Mo! :lovestruc

It's OK - I appreicate the offer Ariana! :thumbsup2 I love that you have a few memories from that first trip though. That's really cool!

I hope your cousin is safe. LOL

Cool - I will tell her! Thanks Tess!

Thank you Lynee! I love how it turned out too!

Yikes! I hope you're feeling better soon!

    Thank you very much!

That is awesome! What show are you seeing this time?

Yah - I definately need to be in the mood for it - so does everyone else. I've been pumping them up for weeks. LOL Glad it's done. I hope your clean out goes well too. I hope you have a great day as well!

Awww... Thanks for the shout out - I hope you love it! I keep meaning to get over there and read - Hopefully over Thanksgiving week I will have a chance, since I don't have anything on my schedule.

I think the aprin for your MIL is a great idea... would she carry a bag if you made her one - or would it just be a waste of time?

Thanks for your prayers for Jennifer - I know her family is very appreciative of them.

I am very glad to have inspired your new healthy lifestyle! You can do this, I know you can! :thumbsup2

I think that is a great plan for Thanksgiving!

Yes, we do love FQ - but I do understand that you need a bigger room with a bigger family. POR is a GREAT choice! :cool1:

I went online last night a scoped out the holiday session classes... Still debating it - I will most likely do it though.

    **********************************************************

I was able to get a lot acccomplished in my sewing room yesterday - I was so happy.

I managed to get up there 2 hours early (thanks to Josh being home and hogging the computer... Sigh)... So, I was able to completely assemble my auction bag, applique the wallet and assemble the wallet.

Then I had to run errands for a little while...

After that - I came home and went back to work in my sewing room, where I was able to cut out my custom order for the week and get some quilting prep work done. Phew!

All of that before 4pm! :faint:

I made 16 bean soup for dinner... It was not very good. I made it with out the ham so Alli could eat it... Let's just say that it was VERY lacking. The Pillsbury flakey biscuits were the best part of the meal... Sigh.

Josh and I watched the movie "Jack Frost" last night... It always makes me cry - such a sad holiday movie.

I work at Target today... So no sewing room for me. I will resume working up there tomorrow.

I hope you all have a fantastic day today! Prayers for everyone who needs them! :lovestruc

Well, I'm trying to be good. And it is tough. Sticking to 2.5 cups of coffee is like torture. But I found a source for cranberry/almond/apple salads. Yum.

Well, think of all the extra time you're having in your sewing room as making up for all those times you don't have enough.

    Hope your day was good!

Oh - and if your auction bag WAS Maximus, I might have had to scrounge a few dollars to put in the paypal account and bid.

You were a busy girl and got a lot done...good for you. I was able to catch up on all of my threads and do two updates to my PTR...I felt quite accomplished.

I've never seen Jack Frost. Perhaps Mark and I should rent that this weekend.

Just getting over here today. You sure were productive. I have an order that must get done this week and I have been slacking. It has been rough here.

I love the auction bag. I hope it goes for big money.

Got to keep it up because I'm so afraid if I don't I'll just give up.

We're excited to try it and see it. We honeymooned in New Orleans for a few days before going on a cruise so in a way by going to visit FQ it'll be like we're reliving it (just with 4 kids this time instead of 2 very good friends who met us there. :rotfl:) hummm maybe I can get them to join us in WDW for a few days.

Good for you! Enjoy it if you do!

Yeah for getting so much done. Hope today's shift went fast.

Thanks Mo - I hope you have a great one too!

LOL I love Pinocchio! He is so cute!

I've managed to get myself down to 1 cup of coffee/day... Then on Sundays (but sometimes, I do Saturday instead) - I allow myself 2 cups. :thumbsup2

    That salad sounds delicious!

    Hahaha... So true!

Thank you! I hope yours was good, as well.

Hahaha... I will have to keep Maximus as an idea in the back of my head... The girls and I just LOVE him - he is very MM like.

Yay! I saw that Kathy! I stopped by there this morning.

Yah - Jack Frost is a very sad movie... Makes me cry all the time. It is not one of my favorite movies due to that.

Oh Chiara - I sure hope things get better for you, and you are able to get through your order. I know I have a hard time concentrating when the holidays are just around the corner.

Yes - FQ is just beautiful... I just love being there. However, when we were there in Aug - I didn't feel like we were able to enjoy it as much as we had the previous trip... It was just too hot to spend any more time than necessary outside - which makes me sad. We really did hop from building to building, staying in the air as much as possible.

You will do great on Thanksgiving - I just know it.

    **********************************************************

First off... I want to apologize... This week has been so crazy with Josh home for classes. I am slowly falling WAAAAAY behind on TRs/PTRs I am following. I want you all to know I will be catching up - but not until after the weekend. I will try to do some catching up later this morning from the laptop. As it is, I have been getting up at 4:30 every morning... I have to work out at 6am, so Josh can be on here by 6:45. :crazy2: So, my only real computer time is from 4:30 to 6... It's been a bit crazy!

And this isn't the end of it... His class is done on Saturday evening... Then he was just approved for a MUCH longer and more intensive course... From Dec 7-21st... Here at home... Including the weekends. :scared: So, this is just the beginning for a while. It's OK - I LOVE having him home with me during the day - but I don't like sharing the computer. LOL

Thankfully - his work is paying for all these courses... and he is being paid his salary. Plus, when it's all over - he'll have 6 days of comp time, as well. I was hoping that would mean a nice little vacation for our Anniversary - but since he will be taking a class during that time... Again, our Anniversary will be sidelined. It's OK really... I am used to it. ONce the girls go off to college - maybe then we will be able to make up for lost time?

I had a good day at work yesterday... Things are really in high gear as the store preps for Black Friday. I was busy all day - and that was good.

    **********************************************************

I wanted to do a little Thanksgiving update...

The last few years, we have had it here. Some of Josh's family has moved home now, we offered to host it here again - however - we had to put a limit on the people, because we do have a small house - which isn't very condusive to entertaining. Our limit was 10 people. Sooo... Upon Josh's dad announcing it to the family - MANY more people wanted to do Thanksgiving - almost double than what we could fit. So, Josh's dad decided to do it at a restaurant... SIGH... Soooo NOT happy with this idea - but whatever. So, we are eating Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant.. Which means NO leftovers... I LOVE Thanksgiving leftovers... And even worse - it means NO cranberries that Josh makes. However, we are all doing to his dad's hotel afterwards - which we are bringing Josh's home made pie - so, at least we will have something good. ::yes::

Now, at first - I was really upset about this... But the more I think about it - the more I am OK with it. First off... I won't be snacking on appetizers all day. Secondly, I won't be eating wonderful Thanksgiving leftovers all next week. :thumbsup2 Thirdly - I think if I work on Josh enough - I can get him to make a triple batch of his cranberries just for us. :rotfl2:

So, from a healthy goal stand point - I think I should be able to sail through Thanksgiving with out a problem.

    **********************************************************

I don't have any bags scheduled in my sewing room next week. So, I plan to take the week to finish up the one SSP and also the stockings. I also plan to work on my SIL's Christmas gift... I hope to get ALL of it DONE. It's really been bothering me that I haven't finished all of these projects yet. :crazy2:

I wish I had something real and concrete to update about our trip - but I do not. Other than the quest for a healthier me... And my continued savings goals - right now, we are kind of at a stand still until BFF gets back to me about our ADRs. I do need to get on her about it, but I am having a hard time doing that with other things going on in her life... However, it may be a good distraction for her? ::yes::

OK - I need to get going on my day... I have to be out of here in an hour.

Sending prayers out to all who need them. Have a wonderful day everyone! :lovestruc

I wanted to thank you for the heads up on the $10 Target coupon in last Sunday's paper. I don't normally open all the sale flyers and never would have found that coupon if you hadn't mentioned it. I got the Target red card so I can save 5% on my Disney gift certificates, too. Joining the Dis forum has saved me some money. ;)

i would love to hire someone to prepare the bird for me. i despise doing it. usually takes a bottle of wine for me to get through the whole thing! :rotfl:

you don't have to work on Thanksgiving do you?

I love how festive this bag turned out!

This is not my original idea for this auction... Originally - I was planning something a bit more traditional. At the last minute, I remembered the interior fabric I had purchased this fall - so I wanted to do something to incorporate that. Victoria picked all of the fabrics for this bag (except for the interior) and told me how she wanted me to use them. I have to say that I totally agree with her decisions and I think she did great! :thumbsup2

Ohhh. Love the auction bag. Mickey is having so much fun. I am on my mobile and thought the sled was polka dot fabric but when I opened the picture I saw it was snow. Perfect. I hope someone with a trip coming up will snap this one up. It would make a great early Christmas gift.

I hope you can get some direction on your ADRs soon. I know how they dictate the schedule for the trip and make it seem more real. You won't be able to tell us your ADR day but is it coming up very soon? I am guessing sometime in February.

The fabric you used on the inside I have. I'm making it into a strap to go over my camera strap. Which I need to get on.

Your latest auction bag turned out great. When I first looked at it, I thought Mickey was on a surfboard not a sled. The lining really looks good with the outside.
My day's been interesting so far. My daughter called from work to tell me she was on her way home. She spilled a can of red pop on her clothes. Luckly, I have a heavy duty cycle on the washer. I think I got it out. Today's my last late day for a while. It should be busy.

Hope your auction does well today!!! :goodvibes So sad that you will have Thanksgiving at a restaurant. :sad1: At least you will be with family. :thumbsup2

My extended family on Dad's side always had a BIG Thanksgiving gathering growing up. It started out at my Grandma's house every year (in Alabama). We outgrew that, so we moved it to a community hall in town. As cousins had babies and grandbabies, it was moved to the Saturday AFTER Thanksgiving so that smaller family units could have Thanksgiving day together. About 15 years ago one of my aunt's had a camp house built on their hunting property, so it was moved there. Well, when her husband died, the camp house went to my cousin, and he refused to have it there any longer. For a few years now we have bounced it between the community hall and a church fellowship hall. Each year when we moved it less people came. Well, this year the powers that be decided we needed to no longer meet at Thanksgiving time any more....we will have a reunion of sorts in April...in another town altogether. It really is sad when family traditions pass.

I am not trying to make you feel guilty about not having so many folks in your house, not my intention at all. Everyone must find what works for each other as families evolve and grow. I hope your family will find what works for everyone.

I guess I am just lamenting my own sadness this year. Thanksgiving will not be the same without that big reunion. I have had it since the day I was born. It was always fun to see cousins, aunts and uncles you hadn't seen since last year. Cousins would bring boyfriends and girlfriends. Boyfriends and girlfriends would show up later as husbands or wives. Then they would show up with children, less hair, weight gain, weight loss, etc. Aunts and Uncles have passed, and we have planted trees in honor of them. We have watched OLD home movies through the years...including footage of my dad and his siblings as children that was recorded with a reel to reel recorder and converted first to VHS, later to DVD.

Goodness, how I have hijacked your PTR...sorry!!!

Hello D~! I'm back in Ohio!! After a month in Virginia, it was sooo nice to get back home. I surprised Dan...he wasn't expecting me until Saturday. Jen's surgery is scheduled for Nov. 26th and she has others to help her until I can get back there on Dec. 9th.

Now, I HAVE to go and try to catch up. Between you and Mo, it's going to take a while, but Dan wants me to do nothing for a couple of days, so I'm going to give it a try.

Oh, and I may be starting a ptr of my own. First time, don't even know how to go about it, but it will be fun! Hope you are having a fabulous day in the sewing room!

:wave2: Don’t expect you’ll remember me, but a few weeks ago I promised photos of my "new" machines. I’ve been clearing out my mother’s house in anticipation of my brother moving in with her. In the meantime he and I have been taking turns staying with her two nights on, two nights off. It’s not much fun and I’m not sure I’ll be able to celebrate at Disney for my round birthday in February :worried: so I haven't been feeling very dis-like lately.

I brought home four machines -- three sewing and one embroidery. These photos were taken hastily this morning, so no cleaning has been done but you’ll get the general idea.

First, the machine my mother’s been using for the past 60+ years. It’s the one that comes with a “card table”. (I guess I should have taken off the spool of thread.)

How’s this for a bruiser? (My aunt, who owned it, used to make draperies and slipcovers for her rich Westchester County neighbors.)

I’m hoping this is one of those new wireless machines :confused3 because I don’t see a cord unless it’s tucked in somewhere.

Most exciting is the old fashioned embroidery machine :cool1:

because now I can put names on the stockings I made a year or two ago.

Hope all is well with you and your PTR fans.
