YES, touring Cinderella’s Dream Suite was Amazing!+14 Other Magical Days* Dismeet & Wrap

This worked out well since our APs expired last week so we had to renew anyway. I can now justify at least one or two more Dis trips next year since the urge to book another Disney trip immediately set in once we had those in our hands.
It isn't hard to resist planning another trip when you have an AP. After all, you have to get your money's worth, right? ;) Disney does this on purpose with their tiered ticket prices. It is either an evil plot to get your money or brilliant marketing strategy, depending on how you view it. :lmao:

And a little something to share.... Lobster nachos
Those look delicious. I think I could eat anything if they put it on nachos. :)

Looks like such a fun Dismeet! You are starting to make me think you *may* be the official guide to DL ;). Also, I love the Haunted Mansion! I really hope I get the chance to see it in its Halloween Glorious-ness one day!!!

Yay a Dismeet! I love those. :thumbsup2 I remember the first time I had a Dismeet, years ago. I was at my parents house, talking about upcoming vacation plans, and mentioned I was having dinner with some of my DIS friends. My dad in particular was pretty amazed that I was meeting up with people that I "met on the internet." :lmao: But I have to say, some of my best friends are my DIS peeps! :grouphug:

That cupcake looks DIVINE. Yummo.

I love your Disneyland pics! I must plan a trip out that way. I have been thinking and scheming about a trip next Spring; I have a brother in the Army who's stationed in Hawaii, so I want to go out and see him. I am now thinking that perhaps I will fly to LA, make a stop for a few days at Disneyland, and then go onto Hawaii. :thumbsup2

Seeing your pictures of DLR makes me miss it. Wish DHS continued to have some form of Pixar parade. And I don't think I previously noticed how Jack Jack has a torch on this head! That's pretty cool.

Great update!!

Love your DisMeet intermission! Please be sure to go over and have a frozen apple slush in DL for me some time. Such a great treat. Wishing I could get one somewhere around here.

Welcome back! No worries, I think you have a great excuse for being MIA! I hope you had a great trip. Did you see a certain handsome waiter??

Ugh, NO. My parents were in The Chapeau and I went out the side door that spits you out by Tony's and I was doing this strange thing where I was craning my neck trying to look in the windows and see if he was in there. Which lead to my fiance asking me what I was looking for (I was looking at the food honey!) and my mother saying, "Can you see him? Is he in there? I think he normally works dinner. Is Becky in there?" And I said, "No, no, and why would I want to see his wife?!"

Meanwhile my father is playing with Mary Poppins' penguins who were supposed to go backstage but kept popping their heads back out.

It was the strangest 5 minutes ever.

Kathy, I can email you the photo of us with Safari Donald out front. I can also send you the photo of you and Mark that I took inside the restaurant.

I would like that, thank you.

Glad to know Mark was a hugger, now I don't feel so creepy!

You could never be creepy, my dear.

Trying to get an update up soon... I have gotten side-tracked with everyone's TRs and PTR including a special someone who just started theirs this weekend. :rolleyes1

Hey, Mary was pressuring me to get it started. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Goodness lady!! Have you noticed that people fly to Chicago to meet you? Eandesmom just this week for example. Let's see the zoo meet up... the waiting list to meet up with you goes on and on.

I definitely know that Cynthia did NOT fly up to Chicago to meet me but for business. :lmao::lmao::lmao: You forgot to mention when Captain_Oblivious and FreezinRafiki were both in Chicago with their families a couple of summers ago and we met for lunch while the ladies and daughters went to American Girl. Or when FauntleroyFAN07 came to Chicago with his family and I met them at Milennium Park. :lmao::lmao::lmao: Seriously, I think you are ahead of me with the DIS meets. But you are right...there is a load of them for December.

I LOVE your photos from your DISmeet with Lori (vettegirl). I met Lori (NOT in person) on teh DIS on the CSR thread. A lovely gal. It looks like the three of you had a blast.

Just started following this thread. 15 days at Disney sounds unbelievable. Can't wait for your next update!

YAY, another Disneyland DISMEET! You are slowly but surely meeting every Diser there is. I'm also starting to think most (if not all) are going to Disneyland JUST to meet you. :goodvibes

Looks like a nice relaxing, fun day in D-Land. I've heard they decorate even more than Magic Kingdom for Halloween, so it must be so very cool.

The Nightmare overlay on Haunted Mansion is something I really need to see one day. It looks so fabulous.

Brenda, you are amazing! Congratulations on having a top thread! You definitely deserve it. Thank you for the shout out as well, Oprah. ;) You are so kind!

Yay Animal Kingdom! You are so right. What place doesn't charge extra for a wild time? You gotta take advantage of it when you can.

As always, you guys are super adorable. I love the character shots. How I love their jungle trek outfits, they're so cute! I'm glad you guys had a good time at the tusker house.

Dis meet!! I love your shots of the parade. Looks like you ladies had a great time.

Just popped in to say hi. :wave2: I hope I didn't make you :faint: You are on the top of my list of "Hope to meet" one day!! Loving all of the ics and the fun; but, hopelessly behind.

What a fun DIS meet Brenda - I am very jealous of those beautiful blue sky's in your photos
It's pouring with rain here at the moment :(
Argh - come on December! :)

I have no idea how I got 10 pages behind, but I am now caught up.
1) :yay: For spending time with your son. From one military mom to another, the time they are home is priceless. Hope you have a great time together.
2) :cool1: on being #1 for Sept. And an extra thanks for invited me to your thread. I enjoy reading your trips and hearing about all your dismeets.
3) :woohoo: For your TH breakfast. This is the one place I know for sure we are eating at on our next trip.

I'm loving your TR - you two seem so fun! Thanks for posting about Disneyland. My husband I will actually be there for the first time ever on November 8. I'm sooooo excited!!

First off- CONGRATS! :cheer2:pixiedust::jumping1:

Your threads are so well written, and sprinkled with such fantastic pictures! You're definitely deserving of the honor. Hopefully one day (only after Jess' TR is done, of course) you'll see the top honor as well!

CL looks sooooo delicious! :hyper:

TH is also soooo delicious! Definitely one of my favorite breakfasts in WDW!

You and Em look like you always have so much fun on your DISmeets! You guys have definitely inspired me and if I ever had the chance, I'd love to set up a DISmeet with some of the awesome people I've met here. What a fun way to spread the Disney cheer!

All caught up! Hope you are enjoying the time with your son! Great photos and thanks to you we tried yak and yeti for the first time this trip. Harold pronounced it best burger, my dad loved his Ribs and Eveie tried both of theirs and said her spring rolls were better than either!

Alright i'm about halfway:yay:

For starters, absolutely LOVE your Voice Mail message for your coworkers. Sheer brilliance!

I love SWA too. Mainly for the 2 free bags per person:thumbsup2 Is there a reason why you go to the back of the plane? Do you just prefer the back? Just asking, usually people want the front of the plane so they can get off faster.

Oh my goodness! Your room at the WL is amazing! Are these newly refurbished rooms. The headboards couldn't be more fantastic.

My mom had so many issues with her MB, we always had her KTTW card available. Ours worked perfectly. So strange.

I got to see the Tangled bathrooms on this trip! :dance3: Such a cute addition.

Also, you and your daughter could seriously be sisters. You guys are too adorable!:cutie:

I simply must go to Disneyland some day! Your photos look so lovely, kind of retro but very cool. That honey bee cupcake is simply adorable!

Hi! My name is Fay. I've finally got through all the pages lol....Love your view! Helping a lot! I'm currently have two trips I'm planning. One beginning of dec with whole family (dh, 2kids ds age 5 , dd age 2, and mother in law. The other will be sometime in the summer. A "romantic" trip with my husband and I only lol.

We are planning on staying akl cl and I was hoping you knew a answer to a question I had. I don't want to call disney again lol but will if I need to. Okay, for the sunrise safari do you know if you can book it for the day you check out? Or must it be before then. It's okay if you don't know I just was hoping since you have done it before you may know. I'm new to staying at akl all together lol I am going to be lost this trip. Tia

What an adorable update and a super fun Dismeet!

I might get the award for the most random Dismeets - but you, I think, would get the award for the most Dismeets in general. LOL And it looks like you had a really fun one!

Congrats on another year of APs... Some day - I hope to have one myself...

Those lobster nachos look ahhhh-mazing! And the lemon cupcake looks pretty good too!

Great update!

D~

Thanks D~! I may have an advantage that I live near Disneyland for these Dismeets. :) It helps to have a DL park nearby to bribe people for a meet up! :lmao: I was glad to meet Lori since I had taken her dining advice a time or two.

The elation of having a fresh AP is rather nice! You keep sewing those fabulous park bags and not only will you have one but Disney will have to move aside those Vera bags to make room for yours!

That was our first time eat at the Cove Bar. I've only had drinks there in the past. I'm glad we were hungry enough to try their appetizer menu.

great updates as usual Brenda. Love the animal kingdom dress and funny about getting wild for free :rotfl:
love love those Disney land bonuses..so pretty there!! Nice to see the pina colava made another appearance :thumbsup2

Thanks so much Patti! You've caught on to my drinking ways. That cocktail made an appearance in this TR recently. ;)

I saw some of your Dismeet pictures on Facebook, looks like you guys had a great time!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Hi Wendy! I usually get those photos up on FB before here so by the time you see them you are thinking de ja vu! Or perhaps, sheesh! Enough already!

Thanks, we did have a great time.

It isn't hard to resist planning another trip when you have an AP. After all, you have to get your money's worth, right? ;) Disney does this on purpose with their tiered ticket prices. It is either an evil plot to get your money or brilliant marketing strategy, depending on how you view it. :lmao:

Those look delicious. I think I could eat anything if they put it on nachos. :)

That urge to book another trip to get our money's worth lasts until I realize I'm going to have to ration my trips so I don't have to eat PB&J every day. (which I love by the way so maybe that is a good strategy.)

You are so right! Genius' I say. In CA they have monthly payment plans to entice even more people to purchase.

Oh, and those nachos had REAL cheese! And real lobster!

Looks like such a fun Dismeet! You are starting to make me think you *may* be the official guide to DL ;). Also, I love the Haunted Mansion! I really hope I get the chance to see it in its Halloween Glorious-ness one day!!!

Hi Sarah! Ha ha. No one should really hang with me at DL since I chat too much and we don't get a lot done. I'm a poor excuse of a tour guide.

If you love Jack Skellington you have to see the HM during the fall/early winter time. It is so much fun. Each year they add something new.

:grouphug:

Hi there! Isn't is a great phenomenon that we can meet virtual strangers and yet "know" them and feel like we've known them for years! See? You totally get the Diser thing.

LA/DL/Hawaii - that would be an epic trip!! :thumbsup2

Seeing your pictures of DLR makes me miss it. Wish DHS continued to have some form of Pixar parade. And I don't think I previously noticed how Jack Jack has a torch on this head! That's pretty cool.

Great update!!

Hi Dave. I hadn't seen the entire Pixar parade before so this was fun. I did a double-take when I saw flames shooting out of a baby's head. Didn't think about it being Jack jack at first. Then it made sense but I was a little worried that Disney was a bit pyro happy!

I wish you all the best with your trip and I look forward to hearing about it.

Love your DisMeet intermission! Please be sure to go over and have a frozen apple slush in DL for me some time. Such a great treat. Wishing I could get one somewhere around here.

Hi Linda! Thanks! I think those frozen apple slushes are new at the Fantasy Faire. Perhaps they are similar to the Le Fou's brew?? I'll have to check it out sometime.

That's so funny that we are on the same page.... you have to look...;) Your mom was dialed in and of course you must act innocent for your fiancé!! btw, Becky now works at Be Our Guest as a server.

Hey, Mary was pressuring me to get it started.

Good for Mary, I'm glad that you got it started!

And I KNEW there were a LOT more Dismeets you've had in the greater Chicago area! See? What did I tell you?

Lori is a sweetie!

BTW: I realize I only put one of the TH photos on your FB wall but I PM'd you all three. Not sure I did you any favors since you could take them from my FB page as well or even from my update here. Oh well... I'm none to sharp.

Just started following this thread. 15 days at Disney sounds unbelievable. Can't wait for your next update!

Hi there Julie! Welcome and thank you for joining!! I'm very glad that you are here.

The trip didn't start at 15 days, it keep growing until I finally got some self control back. ;)

Hi Rob! So not true but thanks!

DL must have a few more decorations out since the Partners statue hub is decorated and of course HM is all decked out.

But, no headless horseman at DL so there's where MK has it beat!

Dis meet!! I love your shots of the parade. Looks like you ladies had a great time.

Hi Jennifer. Thank you!!

And by wild, I'm sure they don't mean that I can drink from a plastic straw anytime I want.

You were my Miss August 2013 Dismeet pal!! I'm glad you were here for D23 so we could meet as well.

Just popped in to say hi. :wave2: I hope I didn't make you :faint: You are on the top of my list of "Hope to meet" one day!! Loving all of the ics and the fun; but, hopelessly behind.

Hi Judy!! I'm so very glad that you dropped in to say hello! I certainly didn't faint but I did have a big smile!!

Awwwww I would LOVE that as well. There would be some serious hugging going on with you sweet lady.

I see your next trip is fairly soon. I wish you all the best with your planning!

What a fun DIS meet Brenda - I am very jealous of those beautiful blue sky's in your photos
It's pouring with rain here at the moment :(
Argh - come on December!

Hi Linda! Oh man! Rain rain go away.... and stay away.

I have no idea how I got 10 pages behind, but I am now caught up.
1) :yay: For spending time with your son. From one military mom to another, the time they are home is priceless. Hope you have a great time together.

3) :woohoo: For your TH breakfast. This is the one place I know for sure we are eating at on our next trip.

Hi Sandy! Thank you. I'm grateful that we did have the time we spent together. At least as he goes away it is just back to Texas for the next year.

Thanks and I'm glad that you are hear and joined! :goodvibes

You will not leave TH hungry or lacking in character love!

I'm loving your TR - you two seem so fun! Thanks for posting about Disneyland. My husband I will actually be there for the first time ever on November 8. I'm sooooo excited!!

Hi there Hutch! Thank you so much for joining and welcome!

I'm glad the DL update gave you a taste of what's to come in a few weeks. I hope you enjoy your time here! November is such a great time to visit.

First off- CONGRATS! :cheer2

HI Emily! Awww shucks, thanks!

There's a lot of TH fans out here. Wish I hadn't cancelled so many times before finally trying it.

I figure I may as well meet in person the awesome people that we chat with on the Disboards. I've made friends in "real life" for almost all of them. :)

All caught up! Hope you are enjoying the time with your son! Great photos and thanks to you we tried yak and yeti for the first time this trip. Harold pronounced it best burger, my dad loved his Ribs and Eveie tried both of theirs and said her spring rolls were better than either!

Hi Alysa and welcome back from your trip!! How was the MNSSHP and Robbie with his adorable costume?

I'm glad your family enjoyed Y&Y! I'm with Eveie, I love those spring rolls! Hopefully you were able to find a great veggie option there as well.

Please let me know if you do a TR. I'd love to join. :goodvibes

Oh my. I'm 47 pages late :rotfl2: Looks like it may take me a while to catch up but I will! :thumbsup2

Alright i'm about halfway:yay:

Hi there sweetie!! I'm thrilled that you are reading. (and I know that you are a busy mom so that means a lot that you would take the time to read!) I still think of you when I think of Artist Point and the mushroom soup. Your reviews were epic!!

My little back of the plane secret... the last few trips for SW in particular, we've sat in the back and usually with an almost full flight no one sits in the empty seat between us so we end up having a row to ourselves. By the time the get near the back of the plane they've found a seat already. That and the bathroom is closer!

You are adorable, thanks for the sister compliment. If there wasn't over 30 years separating us that may be believable!! :lmao:
