I figured it would be easier to take pics of the signs then to actually list out all their offerings!!

I think Germany would have been the area I could have dropped some hefty dollars if I had an endless supply........

Whew finally caught up!

So much has changed since I went, now I REALLY must work on getting there again. Love the signs as well, helps me to understand the whole F&W better. Not something I'm particularly interested in but now seeing it "first hand" makes it easier to see the appeal.

Yes I'm crossing my fingers and praying for a truckload of pixie dust we can make it back to DL at the beginning of Dec!

Loving the whole trip report thing! Sorry I'll admit I didn't read one before, just skimmed some of pictures before...:guilty:

Oh my what a price tag...but sooooooo pretty. Love the caramel shop, in fact my mouth is watering thinking about that popcorn...and I can almost smell it too!

I didn't really get the F&W thing either until I started looking into it since it was going to be going on when we went. They bring out these portable booths for the different countries/etc and offer a few food items as well as some drinks. You can pick & choose. The bonus is getting to use "snack" credits if you're using the dining plan. Some of the items we got were $6-7.00......that's a GREAT buy using the snack credits!!

Oooooohhhhh, we might be going doing around the 9th of December to DL if everything works out.......maybe we'll overlap???

Glad you're actually reading this one!!!

Loved that crystal store! Wanted so many items from there. The castle was beautiful. The Christmas store as well.

I would love to pick something up at the Crystal stores.....but I've seen how they throw our luggage around. I'm not sure if I used one suitcase & nothing but stuffing, padding, etc to fill it around the crystal piece.....it would still be in one piece on arrival. :sad2:

Yeah, a little out of our budget for that castle......lol I'm kicking myself that we didn't pick up any of the popcorn. I love popcorn and good caramel popcorn can't be beat! :goodvibes

Since we had to use up a Counter Service credit today (like we needed more food).....we decided to have lunch in Germany at Sommerfest. This is their menu.

We all ordered the Bratwurst but all ordered it differently......mine was without sauerkraut, Derek's was sauerkraut on the side & Mike's was sauerkraut on top.

You also got a huge dessert of either the Black Forest Cake or the Apple Strudel. I had the strudel while the guys had the cake. The portions were huge!!!

I didn't even taste the bun on mine....since gluten can be a problem....I decided just to eat the brat. I think the guys finished their brats....but no one finished their dessert......just too much food!!

All of our meals consisted of a brat, dessert & a soda~~$13.47 each for a total of $40.41 + 2.83 tax = $43.24 If you are looking for a big counter service (quick service) meal.....this place is where you should go. Very good food & plenty of it!!

While we were eating, we noticed Dr. Doofenshmirtz being chased in the clock.

Mike got a couple pics of the Cast Members for Biergarten....doesn't the blond look happy in the first pic?? lol

A look inside the gift shops. I really want a cuckoo clock! We had one when I was a child & I was fascinated by it. Problem is.....the tiny one is out of my price range! (the picture of the one clock is $1900)

I have no clue where this sign was.......

There's a huge train set, set up.....right up Mike's alley!

The POLAND Food & Wine booth. We did order something at this one. (all I can say is....it's a good thing there was 3 of us trying these samples......can you say "bloated"?!!)

While Derek was in line for our treat, Mike got a picture of the ferry boat that transports you from one side of the lake to the other.

One last look at Germany.

And coming up on Italy!

So from the Poland F&W, we got the Kielbasa & Potato Pierogi with Caramelized Onions and the Mickey Head of Sour Cream. I had never tried pierogi's before.....not bad. We used a snack credit for this.

Another picture of the Food & Wine sign with Spaceship Earth in the distance (my turn to take pictures across the lake....lol)

This squirrel was funny......perched in the tree & ready to pounce if someone dropped food!!

I noticed a part of the Illuminations show out in the water.

And one more pic from me across the lake!!

ITALY's Food & Wine booth. We picked up one thing here as well.

Cannoli al Cioccolato is a chocolate covered cannoli filled with sweet ricota, chocolate & candied fruit. We paid out of pocket for this little gem. Delicious!

Great report! Your F&W pics are making me hungry but SO excited for my trip next week! Thanks for posting

Trent loves the train set up

Steve loves Cuckoo shop

Germany is awesome :thumbsup2

Woohooo caught up again!

Your review is bringing back so many memories, we only did I day in each park, so still have so much to see and do as well!

Wow I grew up with a cockoo clock as well, never knew they were worth so much, I will tell my mom to look after hers!

Being that DH and I love food and love wine (well and beer also ;) ) we hope to get to WDW during F&W as well!

I am so hungry looking at all those desserts...love the Mickey Sour Cream head!

How exciting you're going next week!!! :yay:

Mike & my dad have had train set ups.....we just don't have a place to do it (and the kids don't respect anybody's property like they should).

Germany is both Mike's & my families heritage (I'm adopted so not really German......we think Irish).

I had no idea either that the cuckoo clocks were that expensive. I imagine those are very nicely crafted.

I'm not a wine person but I do like beer!!

I am so hungry looking at all those desserts...love the Mickey Sour Cream head!

The Mickey head was so cute!! Those desserts were so good (but the portions were too big)!

We continued on to Italy.

Masks!

A couple restaurants in Italy.

Ummmmm, are those the same ugly dolphins that I dislike at the Dolphin Hotel??

He's excited about his job.......lol

So much detail in these buildings.

A look inside the gift shops.

As we're leaving Italy.

Great pics!

I think that sign in Germany said Fussen which I believe is the German word for "to walk"

Heading to America.

The American Adventure Building.

Inside the building. There was a little story telling & singers performing when we entered....but it was right towards the end of the show, so we took pictures instead of moving in with the crowd.

Once they were done, it was announced that we could head upstairs for the show. These flags were hanging above the escalators & stairs heading up.

As we waited for the masses to go inside the theater, we hung out & got some more pictures.

Once people were mostly in, we went in & took up seats in the back row. (I was having issues of anxiety with the crowds, so we did this a lot)

Inside the theater prior to show starting.

Mike got these pictures during the American Adventure Show.

This is a show full of animatronics & illustrations depicting scenes from America's history. It's narrated by Benjamin Franklin & Mark Twain. It covers things like the Mayflower, Boston Tea Party, the Winter at Valley Forge, Writing of the Declaration of Independence, the Civil War, Industrialization & Great Depression. It introduces people like Alexander Graham Bell, Chief Joseph, Frederick Douglass, Thomas Jefferson, Susan B Anthony, John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Teddy Roosevelt & Will Rogers.

More in the next post!

American Adventure continued.

Really a well done show.....a great way to recap America's history in a fun & interesting way.

As you leave the theater.

Outside of the American Adventure Building.
