Today was the first day I've been able to customize my bands for December trip 13-16.

I did not have to do online checkin to customize bands as has been suggested by some people.

Yes you should be able to book those FP+!

Sorry - I'm sure this has been posted before but I'm just so struggling to get my head around it all!

Are the magic bands/Fastpass plus still in 'testing' and only being offered to selected guests? Or is it available to all resort guests with park tickets?

We are staying at BLT from Dec 30th & I keep being told be Disney CMs that only selected guests can participate, so they won't even begin to try to help me with why I can't customise bands - they just keep saying I haven't been chosen for testing. Is it really as unfair as that? I'm not impressed if others who are staying at the exact same resorts with the exact same tickets can do it, but others can't! fair enough if its down to staying at certain resorts or during certain dates - anyone know for sure how its working?

The 2nd CM I spoke to on the phone last night said they were still testing at least thru Jan 5th per email she received on Friday. She helped me get one of my tickets to show up and able to then customize our MB's for our Dec 7-16th trip. Do not wait for the invite! The first CM told me I could not customize cause I wasn't invited yet and I had to wait for an invite, and told me I didn't have it yet because they only extended testing thru Dec 7th so no one could do anything the rest of Dec as far as fp+ or mb. No answer why I could book all my FP+'s already or that anyone else could, other than they all must have received the invite to select people! I haven't heard of many, if even anyone getting invite yet for Dec. Obviously she was totally clueless. But, I think BLT has already been testing, and at the least all resorts are supposed to open in the next few days, 23rd I think. And, you are supposed to be within your 60 days which you aren't quite at yet so I'd try to wait till then to see if you really have a problem. You probably will be good to go then at that mark!

Well, what I would do then, is make your FP+ reservations including her if you can still see her. Then just have her go in and copy her reservations to her DDs. Then you should all be together.

Quick question for anyone going with more then one family.
We are a family of 4 going with another family of 3. We have our reservations linked together. We were able to add each other to make dining reservations, but when it came to fast passes I was only able to make 5... (4 for my family and then one for the main member of the other family whose account we were linked to ) Now when she was able to make them she was only able to do 4 (3 for her family and one for me(the main member on our account)) So we called and disney said that it dropped each other members and they had to readd them which would take 1-2 weeks. So to get around this we made fast pass reservations and then the other would copy the fast pass reservations to each other family members. Is anyone else having this issue or have tried to do this to get around the fact that you cant make them all at once?

We arrive on 12/22 for a stay at SSR on DVC points for a reservation made just last weekend (10/13). We were able to customize MBs this morning at 63 days but still cannot make FP+ reservations. SSR reservation and 6 day tix bought thru Disney are linked on MDE but we have not yet completed online checkin. Hoping the FP+ free up on day 60 on Wednesday.

same here. My earlier check in also popped at ~67 days. I think maybe that's the system they are using, at least the moment. Maybe that way the link is live for a week then we'll get an email at 60 day?

yep- just to confirm another data point- we have a cash (room only, only first night deposit paid) reservation and a DVC points reservation and I'm not checked in to either, In fact both are over 60 days out anyway so i couldn't even check in.

But both have MB's customized and ready to go.
just waiting on 60 days to do my FP+.

there's some weirdness with MDE and kids accounts. My wife and I each have our own accounts. My kids are too young to have their own accounts so they are managed on my wife's account. I can see them but not their tickets. I'm not at 60 days yet so can't try FP+'s. Hopefully i can edit my own kids FP+ selections but who knows....

If you are using only your MVMCP ticket to enter the park at 4pm - No.

If you are using a park ticket to enter earlier than 4pm - Yes

Well, I did it. Magic Bands are customized. Fastpass+ reserved for five days. We need to buy park tickets for three more days so, obviously, there are three days with no tickets. I do not like this much planning. What if I made the wrong choices, or wrong times, or wrong order???

Not necessarily true. I only have MVMCP tickets on my account for the evening of the 15th. MDE is allowing me to make fastpass+ reservations all day on either the 14th or the 15th. Only for the MK though. I know that's not how it's supposed to work, but that's how it is working. It's really strange.
I have no plans to go to the MK on the 14th and I was able to make them up until 7pm on the 15th. I'll be adding tickets as soon as they are delivered this week, and then should be able to make reservations for the whole trip, so it doesn't really matter.. I just thought I'd share.

I don't think they are. They are booking between 4pm (when they can enter with the party ticket) and 7pm( when the party actually starts). There doesn't appear to be any fastpass+ during the party hours of 7pm onward.
