agonizing over online check in
I chose Aruba and water view but I'm not set on either. I'm in a standard room so what would water view mean? I don't really want to face a parking lot but I don't know if that is even an issue since this is my first visit.
I'm open - any recommendations?

This time next week we will be flying to MCO!! 2 years of planning and now it's only 7 days away. Can't believe it.

I will have my camera and plan on taking pics. If I upload to a photobucket is that best so all can see or is there another site that's better?

If you got a water view, it would mean that you got some pixie dust and received an upgrade. Water view means just that, when you walk out of your room, or when you open your shades, you will have a view of the lake or one of the quiet pools.

We have found that even if our room does face the parking lot, there is so much lush vegetation between the building and the parking lot that you have to look really hard to see the parking lot. When staying at a moderate we feel it's a waste of $$ to pay for a water view because the only way to enjoy the view is to leave your shades open. And with the shades open everyone walking by can see right in. If we want to enjoy the view, we just step outside of our standard view room and walk down to the corner or just head down and sit on a bench by the lake. Now when staying deluxe and having a balcony, we don't mind paying extra for a nice view.

Also, the majority of the standard view rooms face a lovely courtyard. The way the buildings situated, there are only a few that face the parking lot.

On our trip to Europe this summer I just uploaded my pictures to my Dropbox account daily. You just send the link to those who you want to share with. It worked well for us. :)

Me, personally, I wouldn't pay for a water view at any Disney resort. Disney's idea of a water view could be a look at a lake, a pool or even a fountain.

I posted a lot of pictures of the "parking lot views" on the CBR picture thread. Like dansdad said, there's a lot of vegetation between the buildings and the parking lots so you aren't simply looking out at pavement.

I am here now in Jamaica with a view of the parking lot. The resort is really pretty & we haven't been in our room long enough for the view to matter. Actually our bldg is almost right behind the bus stop so that is a plus. Have a great trip.

Thanks for all the responses to my changing my reservation post.
I called and requested martinique building for our stay. I am going to walt disney world with two of my most favorite people in the world, my youngest two sons!
I also booked a pirate adventure cruise for them the morning we leave back for home.

It's going to be a great time, no matter what! Why do we second guess our decisions?

Yay! Our DS loved the pirate adventure cruise. I hope you have a magical stay at our favorite resort.

Because we always want it to be perfect for our kids/families.pixiedust:

Your going to have so much fun with your boys! That was a great idea to book the cruise on the last day what a great memory to leave with.

Can anyone give me an idea of how long it should take from the time we land at the airport to get to the resort by magic express? Trying to figure out our dining options! Thanks!

hey all!

We checked in today... Saw two snakes within 5 minutes of being here!! Yikes!! Did not get my requests, as resort is at capacity.... I basically had to beg for a fridge for the baby's milk... :/ CM's here are really not all that friendly bit maybe they are just tired & all... Other than that, beautiful resort!! Lots of landscaping, beach area is very nice, pool is beyond words and food was pretty good! Boys asleep & we are hitting Ohana and MK in morning! :)
