4 Parks in 3 Days!! EPCOT w/F&W & MK w/MNSSHP~1880 pics so far! DHS almost complete!

Yay Laurie!!!

Everything looks great so far, great to see your magic bands working so well, EOS, so good, can't wait to read all about your park days! pixiedust:

With little info on our bands, we didn't have any issues.....but there are definitely problems with this new system. Let's just say, I'm glad we won't be there when they roll this out in full!

Following along!

From one photo addict to another...FOLLOWING ALONG!

:thumbsup2 Enjoying your report! Love all the details! Can't wait to see/read more! :goodvibes

:wave2: Welcome Jorimqwest, momabaarjo & weswife!!! I'm glad you're here!!! Will be adding more in a little bit!!

I am in the middle of moving so was swamped and just posted real quick last night but wanted to say it is so neat seeing all your pics. Brings back so many memories and it is like they say once you have been it is like going home. Everything looks exactly the same as I remember it. We loved the fake rail at the airport as well and was so fun the first time we went on it. They have one in Atlanta as well which is the hub for Delta who we have used several times. We have one in Sac now so it is not as much of a thrill LOL.

I LOVE that airport too. All the cool stores and that hotel is neat although I agree don't know if I would want to stay there. We considered it for one night but prob not more than that.

Isn't getting on the ME so fun!! Really gets your trip started! We will hopefully be using it one way again on our trip next year. We can't use it going back though cuz we will be checking out early and going to Universal for a few days.

Your sandwhiches looked yummy. We have eaten at that EOS a few times in DW but I still haven't tried the one at DL. Maybe I will next week if we get a chance. Doesn't look like we are going to make the ladies trip this year. Can't remember if you are going or not but we just have too much going on with the move etc so unless the girls school trip in April ends up being there (which is might) I won't be going back to DL for I don't know HOW long. We are hoping to go to my parents place in Puerto Vallarta in June and then to DW next Nov of course so unless we do the ladies trip in 15 it could be a LONG time for us. :(

Anywho better get back to packing but so enjoying this and can't wait for more! :)

Enjoying your report and pictures. I can't wait for more.

We got lost trying to find the Magical Express at the terminal, lol. That place is so big.

No, I won't be able to go on the girls trip this year......between this trip & Mike and I doing a quick trip down to DL in December (it could be get on a plane in the morning and go home that night) but we have an opportunity that I just can't pass up on. Also, with all the turmoil in the home right now.....I just don't see where it would even be possible. I think our next trip will need to be a family one......but this could be a ways out since I don't see any "big" money coming in like we had with the adoption credits we got to afford us that chance last December with the kids.

Glad you're checking in between packing boxes!!

Enjoying your report and pictures. I can't wait for more.

Hi Shirley!! It's a huge airport.......I couldn't believe how far their check in was........I would have figured we were lost too if they hadn't still had signs pointing us in their direction......lol

After our yummy dinner, we took a look around the three areas of Downtown Disney~Marketplace (heavy on stores), Pleasure Island (heavy on restaurants & construction walls) and Westside (which houses Cirque du Soleil & DisneyQuest).

This Mickey pumpkin was right next to the outdoor seating for Earl of Sandwich.

A giant Tinker Toy.

We made a quick stop at the PhotoPass building to trade our Photopass+ voucher for a card so we'd be ready to go once we hit EPCOT in the morning. Mike found this on the wall.

Cinderella's carriage on the outside of the World of Disney store. We stopped in to pick up a tees for the next few days. We only pack 1 or 2 spare tees and buy new ones when we first arrive!!

I want this.......

We stopped to check out the Lego structures......love the one in the lake!

Across the lake we heard a commotion and realized the volcano at Rainforest Cafe was going off.

Fulton's Crab House Restaurant on an old paddle boat......makes me want a Mint Julep!

Some of the art on our walk.

Cirque du Soleil.......I sure wish we had the money to go (and the time).

House of Blues Restaurant. We've eaten at the one in DTD at Disneyland a couple times. It's pretty good!

Check out these art pieces on the side of a building across from Cirque.

We rode one of the boats (Derek drives these) from the Westside back over to the Marketplace. The tethered balloon in DTD that allows guests a birds eye view of the land.

One more of Fulton's Crab House.......looks pretty all lit up.

We walked thru a couple more shops as we headed back out to the bus stops. We went back to All Star Sports. We stopped at the registration desk to see if they had the 2013 piece to wear on the MagicBands. They didn't even know what we were talking about (we actually had another person coming up and asking about the same thing). It's a piece that slides over where you connect the band......it helps keep the bracelet from catching on things and falling off. So as of last week......AS-Sp doesn't have them. We headed back to our room, watched a few minutes of tv before falling asleep exhausted.

Wednesday, October 9th.....our first day at the parks!! We were up at 7am and I took a couple pics looking out our window.

We headed out to the bus stops about 8am and headed to EPCOT. Mike took a couple pics from the bus.

We got off the bus and headed towards the entrance of EPCOT. We went thru the security check and took a couple pics and then headed up to the monorail station.

I took these while we waited for our monorail. We wanted to ride the EPCOT loop and the resort loop before heading into the park.

We tried to get some pics while traveling in the monorail.

There's the Polynesian, TTC (Transportation & Ticket Center) and Grand Floridian.

Great pics at DTD

So, how does our DTD compare to the one in DL?

We got off the EPCOT loop monorail and got on the Resort Loop one. The resort loop was closed daily from 11am-6pm for the construction going on at the Grand Floridian. So we knew we needed to do this one early. First stop was the Polynesian Resort. This is my dream resort!

Next up was the Grand Floridian. You can see a bit of the construction going on for the DVC villas they are adding. This place is way to hoity toity for me!

Next stop is at the Magic Kingdom.

While sitting at the MK stop.....I noticed a hidden Mickey being made on the side of the other monorail by the lights in the station!!

Magic Kingdom entry.....would be seeing this the next day!

Space Mountain (looks just like the one at Disneyland).

Bye Cinderella's Castle......"I'll be having breakfast in you tomorrow".

So, how does our DTD compare to the one in DL?

Thanks Kelly!

Well the one at DTD-Disneyland doesn't have a lake.......so you don't have a way of walking a full circle to see everything......the one in Anaheim fills the space from the Esplanade between the two parks to the Disneyland Hotel. I would say straight but it winds around a bit.

It has the World of Disney Store, Rainforest Cafe, House of Blues & a Lego store (maybe even a few of the smaller Disney shops)....but I'm guessing it's much smaller then WDW's.

Mike got a few pics of the resorts across Bay Lake. The Contemporary Resort, the Grand Floridian and the Ferry Boat (it takes passengers from TTC to MK & back).

Here's the Bay Lake Villas (DVC).

Next stop is the Contemporary. You drive right into the resort.

One more look at the Grand.

We got off at the TTC and switched back the Monorail for EPCOT. We saw the Magic Kingdom and sign as we headed away from the TTC.

We made it back to EPCOT and took these while on board.

I am loving your report. We leave for "the world" in January, so I get to dream through your eyes, for now. I'm so glad you took all those pictures! Its so much fun to have a little trip from my own computer chair!!!!:rotfl2:
Can't wait for more.

Love looking at all of your pictures! Takes me back, that's for sure. I LOVE the GF and always wanted to stay there, in fact when I look at California Grand it pales in comparison. Sooo much has changed since I went, I really need to make a plan to take my girl.

Thanks for joining me!! We figured since we'd never been and probably won't ever make it back........we needed to record as much on camera as we could!!

The Grand would compare to the Wilderness Lodge I'm assuming. I'm not a fan of the Grand.....again, a little too uppety for me. I'm a simple gal!! lol Do you have any Disney trips on the horizon?? (didn't you make a one day stop when you were down south for your brothers (?) surgery)??

It was fun....just wish we had a little more time to look thru all the different shops.

Boy, I know what you are talking about. My last two trips to Disneyland were three day trips and there isn't time to stop and smell the roses if you do everything you want to.

You & I agree on that......where others would say 3 days is plenty. They're missing out on what makes Disneyland so special. All the small touches, the details, the flowers they've planted, etc. I love trips like that to explore and see new things.....which I see every trip!

Exactly! Each park has their own little plants. I love Tomorrowland and the fact that a lot of their plants are edible. These are the little things I love!
