***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

Can someone help answer a question? I made the mistake of ordering a carry on bag online and I did not read the exact measurements I just assumed since it said carry on it was the right size. I have never even been in an airport let alone on a plane so I don't know the proper flying procedure :confused3 but im flying AirTran and they say carry on size is 24 inches long X 16 inches wide X 10 tall. my bag is 22 in long X 11in wide and 12 in tall  will this still be considered a carry on since its smaller overall. its a soft rolling duffel :sad2:

Yup, that should be fine. Just remember to have your small bottles of liquids in your quart ziploc out for the TSA xray. That's where most inexperienced travelers get flustered. Do the boarding pass/wallet/phone/sunglasses/watch pat down after security to make sure you didn't leave anything behind! We go through that mantra several times a day at DW as well... :rotfl2:

LMAO You know, I just spit soda of my keyboard!!! lol The kids and I recognize ourselves as Jewish and Kyle (my middle child) has been spending a lot of time at the Community Center lately. He asked me if he was gonna have his Bar Mitzvah next year. I said "have you done the 6 years of Hewbrew school?" He said no and I laughed. I told him we'll celebrate at home, but, no, he's not getting the huge party all his new friends are getting. Kids.....

As for Disney planning: I am going to finish packing today and make my LGMH. And I have to work on the budget and September financials, too, but I can do that while we watch Disney movies (and Iron Man 3, but that still counts cause Disney owns Marvel, right?).

My kids get a little bummed that they don't get the big Communion and Confirmation parties that their cousins do, I can't imagine what they are going to say when they see their first Bar Mitzvah. They are going to be soooo jealous. My kids believe in God, but not in any particular religion and my husband calls himself a heathen or a Jedi depending on his mood. I'm more of a cultural Catholic, I don't practice it, but with a big Irish family I'm still at many Masses each year and I still have a very strong faith, just not into the politics of religion.

Hoping to get all my printable a done this week! Would be so fun to run into some Dis friends!

Wouldn't it, if I see you guys I will probably be screaming and waving, I'm definitely on the loud side. My poor in-laws and husband will be totally confused when I start introducing them to my imaginary friends. Luckily my kids are used to my craziness.

Me too! I am a total Christmas freak! Can not wait to see all the lights! Oh and my girls too! Lol

Me too, I love everything about Christmas.

I hope we get to say hi :wave2:

Are you going to be at HS on the 18th too? Send me your schedule and I'll add it to the list.

Make it 6! We will be there that day too :)
:cool1::cool1::cool1:31 more days!!:banana::banana::banana:

I added you to the list for the 18th, send me the rest of your schedule and I'll add the other days in.

Figmentchick - can you put a link to the park days list in the first or second post so we can find it easily?

Thanks.

I sent her a pm with this link http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=49800669&postcount=829 to help make it easier.

Everyone else can send me their park schedule if they want to be added to that post. I still think it is funny that CaraMiaBelle and I will be at the same parks for 5 of the 6 days that we overlap. We are even going to be at the same restaurant near the same time on one night. I feel like I'm stalking her.

I laughing a bit about the snow thing, I hope everyone realizes it does not snow in Orlando. Its Disney magic snow....it does not accumulate...

Absolutely! Working on it now!

Sounds like we definitely belong together. :goodvibes My hubby considers himself a Unitarian; everyone's entitled to their own opinion, just don't harp to him about it. And we're more of an eclectic family. I was raised in a Jewish-Catholic home, so I got a little bit of everything. In our house, we have a lot of the Jewish culture (and food, not kosher, though....I LOVE bacon) and values. But we also include a lot of "heathen" celebrations in our house around the moon cycles and seasonal festivals.

I so intended to pack today for Disney....didn't happen. lol But, I still have plenty of the day left.....

Just out of curiosity, what is everyone using their 3 FP+'s for in MK?

PotC, HM, SM. Bummed because BTMR is closed for one day in Nov, the one day we will be in MK! :crazy2: Also, we are adults only, so no popular kid rides like Buzz or TSM.

I was baptized Catholic, never went to church but identify mostly with my mom's family's Quaker values. When I went to marry my Irish Catholic DH, the priest called me a free-spirit. (Works for me!) My kids have not started CCD, but my husband finally brought it up recently (uh, we are a year late) so we may start that still.

I wanted to start "officially" packing today too but got called into work this morning. : ( Tomorrow is another day...

Do I need to call the authorities, Sheilby? Seriously, you may end up running the other way if my kids are having meltdowns. : ). This is their first trip, so i am worried. I do already have my LGMH's ready to go though and will be wearing at least one on my LeSportsac bag. Not sure why I made 6, just in case I guess. : )

Just out of curiosity, what is everyone using their 3 FP+'s for in MK?

*Little Mermaid ride (first time to be at WDW when New Fantasyland is open)
*Space Mtn
*BTMRR

I originally had Peter Pan as one of ours, but realized with just DH and I, we didn't really need all the kids rides- switched it out for BTMRR. And if Wishes comes available for our MK day, I will drop BTMRR for that.

You might have to, it looks awfully suspicious doesn't it? ;) Don't worry, my 6 year old will be right there with your kids melting down. My older two won't be a problem there, but my 6 year old will drive me to drink. Meet you in the World showcase for some much needed booze on the 17th? :) Seriously, he is a piece of work that kid. I think someday he is going to be a mad genius taking over the world.

I just located my laminator so I guess I can get going on my LGMH now. I really need to get to Costco to pick up my luggage. I was going to order from Amazon, but when I took my mom to TJ Maxx the other day they had the same luggage there and it was not good quality (TJ Maxx was charging a lot more for it too). It will be easier to start packing now that I took my mom home, I need to set things up in her room to get it done. I'll have to have her up for at least another week before we go, but hopefully I can get us mostly packed before then.

I laughing a bit about the snow thing, I hope everyone realizes it does not snow in Orlando. Its Disney magic snow....it does not accumulate...

We were there with our 2 DD the first year they had snow at the Christmas party. We have four buttons that say the first snow

We are to 50 year olds and we LOVE BUZZ light year lol I kicked my DH butt last year.

Long story short:
11/17 - AK
11/18 - MK/EP
11/19 - MK
11/20 - Sea World
11/21 - EP/HS?
11/22 - HS/BB/EP
11/23 - ?
11/24 - ?

Long story long:
We are traveling as part of a homeschool group so each of our three kids, ages 11-turning6atWDW, has to take a class. We are also staying offsite, and traveling with my parents and my brother, SIL, and their 4 kids ages 10-1, but there's no big pressure to stay together as a group of 13. And I want to do ALL THE DISNEY THINGS, but I have also promised I will NOT be a Disney Drill Sergeant and run everyone ragged. LOL The compromise we've come up with is that I will have easyWDW predictions for the best parks, which we can choose to follow or not, and I want to have a loose plan for what order we could most efficiently do stuff depending on what time we arrive in the parks, so that at the very least we're not standing around for five minutes trying to figure out where to go next, know what I mean? So here's the more detailed, but still flexible (they made me say that) to some extent, itinerary:

11/17 - wake up at hotel about 90 minutes up the road, grab b'fast, arrive at AK hopefully around 11. Stay til closing, then go settle in at hotel.

11/18 - early class for two kids at MK, other kid planning EP with dh; lunch together; hop to either EP or HS after midday break. We don't have an evening at HS planned anywhere else, and I'd really like to see Fantasmic!

11/19 - dd's 6th birthday! She has chosen MK and princess meet and greets as her priority, so we'll get the boys to FP Fairytale Hall for us while we scoot to ETWB and then Merida's spot. Planning a midday break then back to MK to hopefully see some of dd's PP+ shots on the castle projection (do they still do this?) and Wishes

11/20 - Sea World day, but judging by what I'm reading, we might be done by mid-afternoon unless there's a show we're holding out for. We're hoping to take a late break and then maybe hit up DTD and especially DQ!

11/21 - morning class for the third kid @EP, other two and dh will probably stay and hang out there; then we're thinking about taking a leisurely FriendShip (is that right? lol) ride to HS, or maybe doing a mini-golf course, or maybe getting off the ship at the BW to rent a surrey bike, or who knows?

11/22 - ds's 9th birthday! He has chosen to start with HS and a mad dash to TSMM (no Jedi Training, I checked ;)) plus RNRC, ADR @ SciFi for 12:20. If the weather cooperates we'll do BB after that, then he wants Domino's Pizza for dinner, and to go to EP for Illuminations.

11/23 - crowds will be swelling for Thanksgiving week, so for us this is going to be a day to smell the roses, not rush, finish up any priorities, hopefully ending with a fireworks show and night-vision animal viewing at AKL

11/24 - let kids sleep in a little, pack up the cars, and go to whichever park(s) we want or are most manageable. Would LOVE to do Wishes one more time to end this trip, even though I'd probably cry like a big, miserable, hungry, teething, sleep-deprived baby, and it's going to be crowded. Once my family pries my fingers off whatever furniture I've tried to attach myself to, we will leave  and drive 90 minutes to our hotel up the road.

I'd be happy to hear any suggestions, tips, or tweaks you think I could make. Nothing more fun than talking Disney plans!:banana::banana:

11/15 MK
11/16 AK, Ohana dinner
11/17 EP
11/18 Chef Mickey breakfast, hopefully hotel swimming, then EP in evening after Cape May dinner
11/19 HS
11/20 back to HS, maybe Downtown Disney in the afternoon/evening
11/21 MK, including MVMCP
11/22 Maybe a breakfast somewhere, then fly home :(

:rotfl2: Fake reminds me of the real stuff. So I still don't have to like it.
Fully aware it's Disney snow and won't be accumulating. Hope you can sleep now.:rotfl:
