Sorry to say we have changed our Feb. reservation to the Beach Club. Cast rates became available and I was able to get 60% off and discounted dinning at the BC, so my practical side won out and we are now saving quite a bit of money by switching. We will be back to the WL again.

Congrats on the discount!

I have read that they should pop up around 30 days out. During the early testing some were getting them at 60 days but I believe they have stopped them from showing up so early. I also read they shortened it to 30 days because people were booking packages at MB testing resorts and then cancelling after receiving their MBs but before the 45 day mark.

Looks like we will have a free morning to take the lodge tour. Is it worthwhile?

Oh yes is this a good idea. I have a 7-year-old who is very curious of things but how long is the tour?

We did the tour a few years ago, took about an hour I think. It was worth it! It's a neat behind-the-theme sort of tour with some cool information about the WL and the WLV, and you get to see some little nooks and crannies many repeat guests don't even know about. :thumbsup2

Just noticed in MDE, when I click My Itinerary, it defaults to today's date, which of course has not plans. But the generic ad in the left window, says pick your FP+ beginning Nov. 1. Could be for everyone, could be because that is my check in day. What does your My Itinerary page say? For any date? :scratchin

Mine says, Make FastPass+ selections beginning November 30, 2013, which is our check in date.

I guess it defaults to your check in date. :)

When I click my itinerary it takes me to a calendar and I go to my dates and it has all of my reservations....does not say anything about fp. My check in isn't until 12/6....

I can't find anything about fastpass under my itinerary either. We check in January. Maybe it's just showing for November check ins?

If you go to one of your trip dates in your itinerary you will see a section below all your reservations that says: Add Things to do for Thursday (or Wednesday, or whatever day you are looking at). There are four sections:
1. FastPass+ Service
2. Reserve Dining
3. Be Inspired
4. Meet and Greet

In my FastPass+ Service box it says"
Make your selections from home or the mobile app.
and the hyperlink says: Modify FastPass+

I also have a trip in March. When I go to one of the days of my March trip, the FastPass+ box says:
Make FastPass+ selections beginning November 30, 2013
and the hyperlink says: Learn More - when I click on that link it takes my back to my Nov 30th check in date.

There are probably screen caps posted somewhere showing these screens.

Thank you for walking me through that :goodvibes But I do not have the same 4 boxes as you do :badpc: mine are:
1) Explore Attractions
2) Reserve Dining
3) Be Inspired
4) Meet and Greet

Do you think maybe because December is just not rolled out yet??? :confused3

That must be it. :)

That is funny about Sonic....we look forward to Zaxby's because we cant get that up here in MD!
I always see the signs for Zaxby's (chicken, right?), but we've never stopped. Is it more like a big dinner than snack/lunch?

WL here we come! Thanks to info on the DIS I was able to get the Visa discount and upgrade from POR to WL. SO excited!! I have not been to the lodge since 2000. This is a March trip with my mother to celebrate her retirement. I haven't told her about the change in plans- think I will keep it a surprise. We have lots of MK plans, so this will be great!
What a wonderful surprise and upgrade! It will be so easy for you to take the boat or bus to MK with mom. Do you think you can keep it a secret?:ssst:

60% off is amazing and we completely understand::yes::. WL will be there for you again.

The tour is very worthwhile! I have many photos of the Lodge Tour HERE in my August WL Pictorial.

I don't know that a 7-year-old would be interested in it for one hour. It may be more interesting to maybe 5th graders and up:confused3. It really depends on the patience of the child. There are times when it's very hard to hear the Ranger so younger children might become disinterested. The tour does keep moving from WL to VWL and back to the Territory Lounge, AP and then upstairs. The tour is only one-hour and it does move very quickly, but some children might get bored if they feel disengaged. Make sure you bring your camera or maybe even one for the 7-year-old. I was surprised that I was the only one in our group who took photos and Ranger Jack commented on that.

Will be heading to the lodge for the first time this Xmas- can't wait!

Thanks for a great thread :) helped me decide to upgrade from COR- we snuck in at the end of free dining and haven't been to a deluxe yet, so with free dining I could justify the move! Woo! I justify a lot of things when it comes to my disney vacations though ;)

Hi everyone! My family is currently booked TPV at the CR the first of Feb and are considering switching to WL CL. My boys (6 & 4) are interested in the bunk bed rooms and lower price is nice too. :) We have stayed at the WL before but never CL and never in a bunk bed room. I see you can't specifically book a bunk bed room CL so is that just a request? Also is anyone familiar with where the CL bunk rooms are located? During our previous WL stays we had a room in the north wing and could see Wishes in the distance so I'd like to do that again if there are bunk bed rooms on the north side of the hotel on the CL floor.
Thanks in advance for any help!

There definitely are BB rooms in the north wing. We were in room 7042 on CL and had BB's. It was a great room and we had a wonderful "castle view". :goodvibes
