Aloha,

For the Wilderness Lodge Club Level Rooms. What are the recommended rooms with the best views? I am assuming all of the CL rooms are on the Seventh Floor? Perhaps the Northside Woods View? Or rooms 7035 and 7127 directly facing the courtyard/ lake?

Appreciate y'alls wisdom, advice and experience. Trying to plan an Oct 14 visit.

Mahalo.

Thanks. Do they have many bunk bed rooms in club level?
I was once told by a Room Assignor that the bunks are scattered randomly throughout the resort. I wasn't able to get an exact count or room-type map. Generally, those who request them report on this thread that they've gotten them.

Aloha oe and welcome!

All of the Standard Club Level rooms, the two suites and the four Honeymoon Suites are on the 7th floor. The 25 Deluxe rooms are on floors 1-6. Our favorite room that we always request is 7127 in the South Wing and its sister room in the North Wing is 7035. These are the only two non-suite rooms that directly face Bay Lake and the Courtyard of WL. We think the view is perfect...

But, I must offer a disclaimer about these two rooms. While we love it, others might not and even our Lodgekeeper wondered why we loved it. It's fairly secluded being at the very end of the hallway so there is little foot traffic. There isn't a connecting door which we love and there's no room on one side and only the Presidential Suite on the other. There are only two rooms in each wing on the 7th floor that are on the end of the wing.

However, on the opposite side of the headboard is a Lodgekeeping room where the carts go and during the daytime, there is some noise and bumping from the carts and there is also an elevator near the room so you hear it whirring up and down (24/7). We love the view and quietness so much that the elevator noise has become part of the "charm" for us...most of the time:rolleyes:

Only 6 weeks until we are home at WL! This will be our 3rd stay (we haven't been since Dec 2010) and we are so very excited! We have a 15 hour drive so we are not too excited about that, but I am trying to come up with things to make the trip go by quickly!
Welcome! We were also there at Christmas 2010 (our only Christmas visit) and we also drive about 15 hours. We stop on the way down in GA and drive straight through on the way home. We actually love driving to FL and especially look forward to our first Sonic stop:hyper:

I hope you have a wonderful visit back to WL!

Booked our spring break....please add us to the log. We will be at VWL April 4-12...already counting down the days. Starting making ADRs. Thinking of and planning for spring break is my stress relief.

Looking forward to some new experiences this trip and to old favorites. So far I have booked ADRs at Via Napoli, Artist Pointe, Maya Grill, Sci-Fi, and Kona. :) Looking forward to seeing how fast pass plus impacts our vacation. We are expecting it to mean that we will no longer have to do rope drop to get on our favorites. So for once a Disney vacation may mean sleeping in a few times.

Hoping the fence is not up around the pool yet in April....worried it will impact the ambiance.
It's great having a trip booked. Happy planning and I'll Log you:)

While staying at the Wilderness Lodge on the Third floor across the hall from the ice machine I found an item of value on the floor. If you lost something before September 20th and think it might be yours PM me with a description of the item (include any identifying marks, serial numbers, or inscriptions), if its yours I will have it shipped to you.

I don't like being this vague but I also don't want to give someone's possibly very sentimental item to anyone who happens to say "OH! yeah I lost my "insert my exact description of the item" thank you for finding it!" I have never found anything of real value on the ground before and am trying my best to get it back to its owner.

Mods if this post is better suited somewhere else please let me know and I will post it there.

Thanks so much :)

Kook,
Would it be possible for you give this poster info on how to contact the WL Manager, or whatever advice you think would get this item safely back to either the WL or Disney's lost and found? The chances of the rightful owner accidentally seeing a post at the DIS several weeks later are pretty slim.
There is a growing thread on this subject on the community board, as well. Thanks a bunch!!

You should've left it at the front desk. :confused3

You found something "of real value" and you didn't turn it into the front desk of the resort or to the resort manager? You took it home with you 3 weeks ago? And are now posting about this on this resort thread and the community board?

To say that this was a colossal error in judgement is, to me, a gross understatement. Other people might tend to call it something else entirely. I would hope that you would immediately contact WDW guest services and ask for an address so that you could Fed Ex this item to them overnight. If this is a valuable item, I am sure that the rightful owner has been in regular contact with either the resort and/or Lost and Found. The chances of them looking on one or two threads on the Disboards weeks after they lost this item is incredibly remote. :sad2:

Please call 407-824-3200 and explain that you were a WL guest who is now back home and you would like to do the right thing and return an item that you found to the WL Lost and Found Dept.

You really should have turned the item into the front desk. On our recent trip my husband and I were in the lobby and found an IPAD on a chair. We brought it to the front desk. Not 5 minutes later a woman came over and thanked us for turning it in. The cast member pointed us out to her. I never would have thought to bring it home with me and post on a message board, hoping the owner read here.

I made a mistake and forgot I even found it. found it after a very long day and put it in a safe place I thought I would remember it...obviously I was wrong and forgot it. I found it after getting home and am trying to do the right thing. I am contacting authorities and Disney but I thought it would be nice to try the disboards, a few other Disney sights and some Orlando area newspapers in the mean time to see if I got lucky and could return it to the owner but I guess I was wrong about that too. Its obvious none of you have made a mistake before and I am just a horrible person.

Edit: If you think the item might be yours contact Disney lost and found. The item is being mailed there in the morning.

I really didn't mean to upset you, just stating my opinion. I realize things happen and we get busy, but think about the person who lost the item. I am sure if the item is that expensive they were probably frantic once learning of the loss, checking daily with lost and found. It would have taken minutes to turn the object in. I am glad you contacted Disney and hopefully the owner can be found. By the way, I am the only one you quoted, but not the only one who made the same observation I did

I clicked the quote button on random quote that pertained to what I had posted, I was not meaning to single you out. either way it is done with, tomorrow I will be at the post office sending it back and washing my hands of the whole affair.

Although others have taken the time to chastise you, consistent with the generally positive theme of essentially every resort thread, just wanted to offer support and encouragement for taking the time to do the right thing, even belatedly. And to be clear, and maybe I am stupidly pollyannish (but this whole website is filled with people who wish each other pixie dust and fun, etc), but I assumed there was an innocent explanation for your not giving it to lost-and-found initially, which it sounds like there was. While I like to think I am pretty organized and would not forget to turn in such an item, I can totally empathize with getting crazed at wdw while trying to manage a family trip. And just this week, I lost my son's jacket while taking him to our town's festival, but luckily we have a town facebook page and I posted the loss and someone had found it. And also this week, I nearly lost my special mickey hat that my mil bought for me, when I wore it to an out of town meeting and thought I left it on train. Now back to talking about the amazing wilderness lodge! Our family is getting so excited about our ptoential oct 2014 trip, which may even include club level! It will be a first for both cl and wl for our family.

WL here we come! Thanks to info on the DIS I was able to get the Visa discount and upgrade from POR to WL. SO excited!! I have not been to the lodge since 2000. This is a March trip with my mother to celebrate her retirement. I haven't told her about the change in plans- think I will keep it a surprise. We have lots of MK plans, so this will be great!
