bounce back offers

Ok, just to be sure, this is what I'm hoping I can do:


Book a BB offer for next year, for the 2 of us, but may add to our party. Also, thinking of using room discount, but might end up using FD instead, and might switch the resort along the way. All of this is acceptable, as long as I'm in the system before I check out, correct?

I'm not sure it is possible to switch from one BB offer to another after the fact. I know you can change your dates and am pretty sure you can add to your party, but I think you have to choose one offer and stick with it.

They're a page in your Welcome Packet that the CM gives you at check-in, with your map and keys. Its on the back of another page so its easy to miss.

Yes, you can do pretty much what you want afterward as long as:

a) you book your BB while you are staying at your resort
b) your future change falls within the date window of the BB you booked
c) availability still exists under your BB program
 
I am confused, we are going Oct. 30-Nov.4 and are going back on Aug. 3-8 2014. I won't qualify for FD but will I be able to do a RO discount. I am also going in February so I am wondering if I should just wait and see what the BB is then.
 
I just got back from the YC. There was nothing in my room and I never received a welcome packet. When I checked in all they gave me was my room keys and the movie/pool activity schedule. It didn't dawn on me until I got home that I never received a map or the usual things they give you at check in.
 
we just went to book our BB for the first week of Sept and they said that the moderate hotels are already sold out, we dont know what to do now, urgh
 
We just got back and there wasn't anything in our room with info on any BB deals. A little disappointed.

ALWAYS check with the Concierge before you assume that there is no Bounceback being offered. Ours was in the red folder with info in our room, but I had already inquired and booked before finding it.

Forget the concierge, just call 8844 while you're there. You don't need a code or anything, just tell them you want to know if there are any return discounts being offered.
 
Something new with bounce back offers this year. I booked bounce back with Free Dining a couple of weeks ago for Sept 2014. I was told that if I made any changes that decreased the package cost there would be a $50 charge. If I changed and increased the package cost there would be no charge. I don't remember this previously. Do you think they are trying to stop people adjusting their packages based on the newest discount? Like changing from Free Dining to RO of it is cheaper. Although I have to say that sometimes a new discount can save you hundreds, so it would be worth the $50 fee.

Program it into your phone. I can't tell you the number of times I've overheard a concierge CM say they were unaware of any return discounts at that time when I had clearly already booked a BB.

I am almost positive this is only once you are within the 45 day window of your reservation. I'm also not sure how new it really is, as this past Aug., we ended up switching resorts at the last minute (less than 2 weeks out), there was no charge because it ended up increasing our total package price, but was told there would be a $50 charge if our change decreased the amount.

I really can't imagine that they'd start charging people $50 to change their reservation before the 45 day window, as a person can cancel with 100% refund. I get your point that then they wouldn't get the "bounce back," but I just don't see it happening, not to mention the fact that the free dining bounce back is almost always given to the general public in the spring.

We booked the free dining bounce back a few weeks ago, and when the CM explained the $50 fee, I understood it to be if it were inside the 45 day window.
