Okay, I'm finally all caught up once again. Hopefully I won't get behind any more.
I do love your new photo and think you should keep it!
I have been enjoying your updates and photos so much! Some of them bring back great memories and others make me want to try something I've never done before. I do like those bracelets V got. When I was in girl scouts (a loooong time ago!) we made necklaces out of colorful magazine pages by tearing them and rolling them up. Then we strung them on thread and shellacked them to preserve them. They turned out much prettier than any of us thought they would and we loved them. Maybe I'll try that again with all the maps I have of Disney!
I can't comment on everything, but of course the bags are TDF! Once again! The Sully captures his expression perfectly as does the Cheshire cat. Great job as always, and I love the fabric choices too.
I am finally feeling better. Still not excited about eating, but much better. Hope V's ears pop soon. I know that feeling all too well and it's the pits. Poor thing!
It's great to see Alli's pics on here as well. I know she's busy, but she does such a wonderful job and I'm so glad she makes time to post a few.
Just a word about when they go away to college. I found that, even though I missed them like crazy, there was a sort of evolution or a shift in our relationship that made it different, sort of more mature, deeper? I don't know exactly how to describe it, but it took on more layers and certainly had them expressing their appreciation for all that I did for them as they were growing up. Also, I did enjoy my freedom to do whatever, whenever. I found that if I dwelled on how much I missed them and how different our family dynamic was, I would have been miserable. So I chose to focus on the positive side of being an empty nester and just sort of reinvented my life. I had raised them to be independent and I couldn't very well complain or be sad that they were making their own way in the world. You'll be the same I'm sure.
As for a solo trip in December, how about a girls trip with DIS friends?? Since it will be a couple of years from now, there's plenty of time to get something organized. I just love Disney during Christmas! It is even more magical than usual, but then I LOVE all things Christmas! It's something to think about!
Okay, I've taken up enough of your space for now. And I have to get to the grocery store as well, plus I'm doing laundry. Hope you have a great savings day shopping. Oh, and if your BFF didn't have luck getting the make-up out of the bag, try BLUE Dawn dishwashing liquid. It get stains out that have been washed and dried in! Trust me. It works every time. Catch you later.
