We leave in 14 days :-)cool1::cool1:) and I'm already dreaming about next year's trip. Is there a bounce back offer in the rooms? If so, what is it?

And tell the WL staff to prepare for the onslaught. :rotfl:

Oh one more thing, I call with room requests (high floor, view, etc.) 7 days before, right? So calling today wouldn't do any good?

My opinion is it is good to get requests in ASAP to have them noted in your reservation. There is no way to really know when the room assignor will make the assignments, but 7 days out seems pretty late. Good luck!

Also I've seen on other posts that the bounceback is for free dining next year, but I am not sure of the exact dates.

Sorry, this is the first chance I have had to post. We arrived in Orlando on Friday morning about 1:30 at the Residence Inn at Sea World and all settled down to sleep about 2am, I woke up at 4:30 with a furious stomach virus and I was done until Saturday morning.

We didn't make it to Sea World, we left the RI and headed to WL about 10:30, I think, I was so out of it, I'm not really sure. Our room was ready, thank goodness and I don't know what I would have done if we hadn't been OFC, they kept me hooked up with Sprite, even when the lounge was closed. My husband went off to the car shows and came back sick and they hunted him down some Motrin. WL CL staff was truly a blessing and I have every intention of writing a letter to let Disney know how much they went above and beyond the call of duty.

We hit DHS and Epcot on Saturday and MK on Sunday. DH and I stayed at MK until about 1:30am and my friend's DH closed them down at 3am. We checked out on Monday and went to DTD for a few hours before the long drive home. I am back at work now and it doesn't even feel like I've been anywhere. I want a do over without the illness. I didn't even get to go to the pool or enjoy any of the activities the resort had to offer, sucks to get sick on vacation. We had room 7062 with a beautiful view of the CR and I could hear the fireworks from the bed on Friday night, but didn't get up to watch, now I wish I had.

Dh and I are hoping to go back fro Christmas 2014. Until then, I will have to live vicarioously through all my Dis friends.

anyone have the answer about Joffery coffee?? I hate Nescrap machines

Are you talking about in the CL Lounge? I didn't see a coffee machine, it was in a caraffe, but I don't know what brand it was, I never drank any on this trip.
Well..if it's downstairs and in the rooms, I think it would be upstairs. We had it in July in the AKL room pods but Mara had the Nescafe still..then the day we left, they swapped out the machines for Joffrey

I didn't even go into Roaring Forks and I didn't even noticewhat was by the machine in our room, it was on the opposite side of our friends bed. I did notice it out in the lounge in the evening and it was in a silver caraffe, it smelled good whatever brand it was.

Drat! I thought I had more time. Is the phone number listed anywhere in this thread? I saw it once but now it's lost to me....:confused3

Just the regular Disney reservations line, 1-407-W-DISNEY or whatever other line to the reservations system. 1-407-939-5277 works too. Good luck :thumbsup2

Can't wait to add my dates to the log. Don't know if you are posting dates for 2014, yet. We have 367 days.

Ugh, that is awful to be sick on vacation, Now you have to have a do-over! :) I remember once when we stayed at POR, and my wife and both kids took turns with a raging stomach virus. I avoided the sickness, but spent the vacation being a diligent nurse, and entertaining whichever kiddo was least sick on any given day.

On a happier note... I will be checking in at WL in THREE WEEKS!!!!:cool1::dance3::yay: I have been pretty busy lately and the time has flown by, I can hardly believe the trip has crept up on me!

I so wish I could have a do-over, that would be so nice, but I really only missed 1 day. We don't have kids, so DH went out on his own, until he got sick, but his problems didn't last nearly as long as mine. I think he sat up at the RI before we left and moved over to WL, but he didn't really do much for me. He might have gotten drinks for me a couple of times and we were rooming with friends (where I got the virus from), who got drinks and checked on me.

Haunted Carriage Rides at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will not be returning this year. The seasonal 25-minute rides, which were themed to "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and featured the Headless Horseman, were discontinued in 2012. No word if the change is permanent.

I had to work late yesterday to get everything caught up - but I'm here! I have the exact same room I have had on my last two WL trips. I haven't specifically requested it, but maybe requesting an enclosed balcony has something to do with it. I guess it's good that it's a location I really like. I like the enclosed balcony for the privacy and the extra protection from the afternoon rains. I'm off to MK to enjoy my first dinner at BOG, so it should be a good day!:cool1:
It's great having the same room:goodvibes. Let us know how you liked BoG for dinner and what room you ate in. Did you get the Grey Stuff?

ITA with GrandCalifornian. Call the WDTC now and have them put in your requests. As long as you do that at least 5 days before you arrive, the Room Assignor will see your requests.

The BB that was in the room last month was only good through 12/19. It was/is for 35% off.

The reservation gets dropped into the resort's system at about the 5-day mark and the Room Assignor generally assigns the room at about the 3-5 day mark.

Are you all set to head on over to our side of the CONUS?:hyper:

I hope you get to book soon and I hope you're both feeling much better now. Nothing worse than being ill while traveling:sick:

The Néscafe machine has been removed from the CL lounge? I know that the one at BWI was just removed and it has been replaced with a new machine that a coffee rep. was going to "train" the CMs on so the OFC must be getting a new one, too.

2 weeks from today I will be checking in here!! I'm so excited!! :hyper:
:yay:

Welcome! We have many 2014 dates in Post #1. What are yours and are you staying at WL or VWL?

Are all KTTW cards RFID now, even in the non MB testing resorts like WL. I guess I'm wondering, are the tesing resorts giving out RFID KTTW cards and the non-testing resorts giving out mag strip KTTW cards, or is everything RFID now?

Thanks in advance!

The KTTW card has been RFID for awhile now.. Our keys were in June, July and even last weekend at BWI

Something I learned last weekend.. Once my reservation was logged in MDE, my AP opened my hotel door, charged and was my ticket. Even some CM's were surprised by the fact that my AP could do this.

It's great having the same room:goodvibes. Let us know how you liked BoG for dinner and what room you ate in. Did you get the grey stuff?

No grey stuff for me. I did have an excellent pork chop with mac and cheese and a lemon meringue cupcake. It was very noisy because of all the hard surfaces, but I will definitely go back. I was in the center of the ballroom.

BB in the room now is free dining for dates in Aug and Sept 2014. No other BB but it was that way last year too. I had to wait to book BB for the following year until my December trip because I need a room discount instead.

I don't know if this is new because I haven't encountered it during Sept before but they were combining the FW and WL boats this afternoon and only using the large boats. I am thinking the rain we have been getting the past few weeks could be playing as much of a part as crowds. It was very stormy looking when I came back to WL so I took the bus.
