I been to mnsshp and I love it. I was so excited that DBF and I will be there for the party on Friday 13th! But then we found out about unleash the villains and now we are unsure which to do. DBF has never done mnsshp and was really excited to go, he even came up with our costumes (Peter Pan and Tinkerbell). I know what to expect from mnsshp, I am afraid to be disappointed by unleash the villains. Well I know the fireworks in HS will be really cool to see again. I just don't know, thoughts anyone?

We are definitely doing the Unleash the Villains party!! This is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT!!! MNSSHP happens 15 times a year, every year (just threw out a #, I don't know how many there are!)

In your case I would go to MNSSHP. If he hasn't been, is excited and has costumes :thumbsup2

I am going to Villians (and TWO MNSSHP the next week) and I have the feeling it is going to be packed since not a ticketed event. I am preparing myself for crowds and not living up to my expectations.

If I had to choose between ticketed (limited numbers) and an unknown un-ticketed party - hands down I'd be at MNSSHP!

When we have the opportunity to go to a MNSSHP we jump at the idea, don't get me wrong...I want as many folks to flock to the villian's event at DHS on the 13th but the truth is if he has never been to a Halloween party then he would miss out.

What about doing both? Do you think it would be possible to do MNSSHP leave around 11 and hit the last 2 hours of the villain party (I mainly want to see the fireworks)? Transportation will be an issue since I will not have a car. I'm thinking cabbing it to DHS? Any thoughts? Would any of you attempt this?

We are doing Villians and our flight doesn't land until 7. We'll be racing over and even if we only get 2 hours I'm ok with that because its a one time thing. We're doing MNSSHP following Tue. Will you not be there long enough to hit one of the other party nights? :(

Wow, if you are able to get that done then:thumbsup2to you, no way would the stars align for me to pull off something like that. Our luck would be to leave a low attended MNSSHP and get stuck in a HUGE bag check with one security CM at DHS, It is just an opinion but I think DHS will be at capacity at 8:00 pm.

But.....me predicting crowds is worse then my wife's driving, and that is really bad:drive:

First of all, while I agree it will be crowded and Hollywood Blvd will feel "packed" on 9/13, there is NO WAY the park will hit capacity. We are still talking about mid September here. Everyone on disboards knows about the event and everyone from the boards that will be there will most definitely be excited about attending but believe it or not, we on disboards are an extremely small percentage of the Walt Disney World visitors. The majority of people you see there goes once or twice in their lifetime and those trips usually occur during school vacation - Xmas, Easter, summer. Heck, the crowd calendar still lists 9/13 as a crowd level 1. You can't get any lower than that.

Second, unfortunately, 9/13 is the only day we are there that the party is happening. And we are rarely there during the Sept/Oct time frames - trips with the kids are usually over the summer and our adult only trips are usually in November for F&W, so I'm not sure when we will get a chance to do the party again.

So I'm still considering both. We are staying at the contemporary and could go back after MNSSHP, change, and cab it to DHS to see the fireworks and catch the last hour of the festivities. Thoughts?

I'd go to MNSSHP. It's always a blast and we don't know much about the Villainsevent.

We're making a special trip for the villain party, but we're coming back in October for MNSSHP (and we've been to those before anyway).

I agree we don't really know anything about what the villain party will be like, schedule of any events during it, etc. Maybe I've just missed seeing details somewhere, but I didn't even know there would be special fireworks at HS for it....? The only thing I've seen said villains would "take over" the park all day and there would be dance parties. Have there been any other details released?

Just remember you are paying big bucks for MNSSHP and then at 11:00 would also be using a day's admission ticket to HS (unless you were already there that day or have park hopper and visit another park that day).

We have Annual Passes

I think Unleash the Villains probably could be described as MNSSHP Lite. You don't have the trick or treating, number of meet and greets, or the same caliber of entertainment. You've got a dance party, villains meet 'n' greets, merchandise, snacks, rides, and fireworks (probably not perimeter-style) with Unleash the Villains. That said, it seems fun!

Given the caliber of the rest of the LTM stuff, I do not have high hopes for this. Granted I did change my dates so we could attend, but it could easily be very disappointing.. That is a tough call and I dont know what I would do if I were you. Not helpful, I know. Sorry.

We are doing Unleash the Villains but have APs and going to MNSSHP too. If we could only do one, I'd pick MNSSHP. History of LTMs is disappointing and I am anticipating crowds of locals.
