hi!! can someone tell me where the boats dock at downtown disney?? just trying to get an idea of how far we have to walk to dinner!! thanks!:)

They dock at Capt. Jacks.... Rainforest Cafe side of DTD.... From there you can change boats to Westside....

15 days until our first ever stay at POFQ!! Thanks for all the tips and info in this thread.

I will be there with DH 9/2-9/8. His first Disney trip and my 3rd trip in less than a year! Staying @ POFQ. I love it there. Second trip stayed @ AKL - I missed POFQ. So, I am "going home" this time. I am a resident of Louisiana and POFQ is so far my favorite resort.

Our first trip booked 30/11/2014. Never stayed here but will go on the very good reviews from the poster above lolxxx hi Lee

I'm looking forward to our first POFQ stay in late Feb. 2014. ADR date is a week from today!

Ok, we leave in 2 days and already requested a refrigerator but now we really need one. DD is on antibiotics for an ear infection and it needs to be kept in the frig. Is there someone I can contact since now it's a need and not just a request?

I called direcly yesterday regarding a separate issue, perhaps calling this number may help?(407) 934-5000

I saw in the FAQ's that the Water taxi's don't start running to DTD until 10:10 am. Is this the same for the buses as well? I want to be at DTD early for the launch of the Vera Bradley line on the 21st (7:30 am)

Is my only option going to be to take a cab? How much would that cost?

I spoke to a cast member last. She said pofq has all fridges

Call the resort phone number (in post #1) and ask to speak to someone in the on-site room allocation team (as opposed to the remote call center that will initially answer your call). Alternatively, you can fax them directly (again, number in first post).

At worst, you can ask at the front desk and they will sort it out for you, but it might take longer.

Buses do start earlier, but getting to DTD for 7:30am might be pushing it a bit - you might want to get a cab to be safe. Around $10-$15 should cover it.

Sorry, I'm afraid that is absolutely not correct, I assume you spoke to a call-center cast member? Only about 50% of POFQ rooms have working fridges at the moment. Another 500 or so are due at the end of this month, but I assume those will be split between POR and POFQ.

Is POFQ part of the FP+ test for the end of Sept/beginning of Oct? We're there from 9/29-10/3 and don't want to miss it, if so!

Not so far, only POR from 3rd Sept at the moment. POFQ won't be too far behind, but unlikely as soon as 29 Sept.

Leaving work soon and heading for the airport......Checking-in at POFQ tomorrow morning!!!:thumbsup2 Soooooo Excited that it's finally here and we'll be back "home" soon! :goodvibes :cool1:

Best news ever !! We will be there in 10 days =)

Just checked in at POFQ today. Two rooms, neither had a frig despite requesting one for medical needs (for only one room) via phone 3x over past two weeks. Rooms were in buildings 4 and 7. The front desk doesn't know when you check in if you have a frig. They suggest you call if you do not, and need one.

I called maintenance from the room, and had one within two hours. They said that if the room doesn't already have one, you can only get one for a medical request.

No freezer section at all, to answer another poster's question.

Hi! Well, for someone with a mobility or breathing issue, the farthest rooms in bldg 7 are a bit of a walk to the food court in this heat. As we all walk at different paces, you might want to google map it, drop pins to get the distance, and then compare to a map of your neighborhood? Note that the food court is on the side of the main bldg closer to bldg 4 (and 7).

I walk briskly (I'm not the one in our group with a medical issue), and its less than five minutes of walking. A scenic walk, too.

Unless there is a medical issue, and if you don't have kids, you might love bldg 7- quieter, and closest to Riverside. Or just ask to change rooms- they were very accommodating just now with us. Hope that helps! Ok, off to the pool!

Thanks for the update oh well guess its the luck of the draw !! We ordered a cooler through garden grocer but would much rather a working fridge either way nothing will ruin my disney trip =)

Hello!

We needed to supplement our SSR stay with one night and chose POFQ. Our room has a garden view. Any suggestions for building number? This is an adults only trip in Nov. and we'd like a fairly quiet area but not too far from the Dtd boat dock and food court.
Thanks!
